Technical note: 5.17 is unusually long for a single 78 rpm record side's playing time, but surprisingly, this is on a 10 inch record. This was achieved through the use of variable pitch mastering, a technique used in cutting master discs for records in which the grooves are placed closer together for soft passages of music, and further apart during loud passages.

Over five minutes of music on a 78rpm record! And about half an inch of space between the groves and the label! That surprises me. Is this a micro grove record? Diameter 10 or 12 inch?

Standard groove, 10 inch record. Just cut with unusually closely-spaced grooving. The flip side is around 6 minutes long!
