WI v. Jeffrey Dahmer (1992): Victim Impact Statements

WI V. DAHMER (1992) - The mother of one of Jeffrey Dahmer's victims Rita Isbell breaks down and rushes at Dahmer during her powerful victim impact statement. The judge hears powerful impact statements from the friends and family of Jeffrey Dahmer's victims.
A new Netflix documentary "Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story" explores the gruesome story of Jeffrey Dahmer starring Evan Peters. Court TV cameras were inside the Wisconsin courtroom in 1992, where a jury was tasked to decide whether Dahmer, who pleaded guilty to the murders and dismemberment of 15 boys and men, should be sentenced to life in prison or admitted to a mental institution.

Jeffrey Dahmer's just doesn't have a heart let alone remorse for anything he has done. Born mentally illed. Too many marbles missing. Can't teach a born killer new tricks of save a life but to take life. He did not care about anyone let alone himself. All you can do is accept that all the victims are now safe in God's kingdom. At peace. Finding ways to heal the broken 💔' hearts left behind through their grieving. Honor each and every victim by doing something they love doing when they were before the tragedy. Know those loved ones are with their families. In spirit. Jeffrey Dahmer's cannot harm anyone anymore. It's time to find healing time for your loss.

Rita was the only one who truly spoke for everybody. She got pissed sitting in court listening to Dahmer claim insanity, while his lawyers stated he was "out of control" at the time of the murders. She watched as the family members of Dahmer's other victims walk up to the stand to confront him in tears with their eyes and heads down but she refused to do that too. Instead she approached the stand lunging for Dahmer shouting "he'll see what out of control is." 22:10 1 - June 18, 1978: Steven Hicks, 18 2 - November 20, 1987: Steven Tuomi, 24 3 - January 16, 1988: Jamie Doxtator, 14 4 - March 24, 1988: Richard Guerrero, 25 5 - March 25, 1989: Anthony Sears, 26 6 - May 20, 1990: Raymond Smith, 33 7 - June 1990: Edward W. Both “I don’t even need a microphone” and “This is how you act when you are out of control” are the most badass phrases I’ve ever seen at an victim impact statement. This woman is an hero. That’s the sort of moment that oughta gone down as one of the most well known and reminded things to have taken place within a court of law. Instead it ended up utterly forgotten. Maybe given the time it might have not been perceived in a positive manner; People in the 90s held “decorum” within a court of law far to high imo, and certain judgments typical of the period certainly played their part… Luckily the tides have shifted and no matter how “respectful of decorum” the murderous sexual sadist monster is, we know who’s worthy of respect here, who’s an actual human being and who’s blood is colder than a crocodile’s. Anyway, I stand in awe.

@@annabeluwaemenyi5890 @Annabel Uwaemenyi I honestly don't think Jeffrey Dahmer thought about people related to the victims' suffering. Ironically he was (these were his feelings said on an interview) afraid his victims would leave him then he was the one who made them leave this earth. He himself said he had to be arrested to stop doing what he was doing. He said at first he felt bad about it but then lost that conscience to continue doing what he was doing. He stopped for some years. I think he even moved. When he returned he started again. I know the woman was speaking of Jeffrey Dahmer but I too benefitted from her strength.

Had Dahmer had been “treated” would serve little purpose. He would fake it and still do what he did. Truth is stranger than fiction in this case and is more horrifying THAN horror. It’s real and I’m the very grocery stores we shop. There are things we could imagine from our nightmares - and then there are the evil people hunting us truly salivating at COMMITTING the nightmares. I have always been into true crime and into psychology and prosecution of these types. BUT I ALWAYS steered clear of the DHAMER case. I always knew it was too far for my spirit to fully watch. The basics in this case are enough to know of his monstrous being.

Watching Ms. Rita speaks at around 22:00 still hurts every time to see it. Tears every time. She truly embodies what I'm sure a lot of those family members wanted to say and do

That sister just absolutely breaks my heart. That is pure rage in the realest form. I don’t know how people can be so calm and held back on that podium if this happened to my brother I’d be doing the exact same thing she just did. There are no words :/

The saddest part about watching this is to think that Dahmer probably doesn't care about the damage he did to these families. Serial Killers couldn't do what they do again and again if they had empathy and a conscious. That's what makes them so terrifying. These monsters can live and work right beside you and you would have no clue. I actually worked closely with a woman that went home after work everyday to her husband scattered around the house in tubs of lye until she was caught about 6 months after the murder. My husband and friends said to me, "you didn't have a clue?" No. I didn't. She acted completely normal and that's scary.

the fact that he didnt even flinch when the woman was going towards him shows you he doesnt care what happens to himself we'll never really know why Jeffrey Dahmer or any other killer do the things they've done to others we can only take a guess on it

people grieve different ways, what’s done is done. a lot of these ppl are accepting or even trying to forgive. the way the sister acted seems valid, she expressed her feelings, but i believe her actions on that is a reaction from someone who cannot accept it. can you blame her?? i cannot imagine the pain. but yes these do seem like very calm speeches.
