I do to but I don't think he will win an award from this project, it'll be too controversial. All the bad talking about Murphy on Twitter shows how people are going to react if more attention is brought to Dahmer. I just wish Evan the best because he's a hard worker and a talented actor.

I think he doesn't remember because since they stopped filming and he could be himself again he's tried distancing himself from the role as much as he can (because of how heavy it was). It's disturbing to see Evan so quiet and with so much sadness in his eyes, it also hurts cause he has such a bubbly and happy personality. The fact that he doesn't remember filming most of the scenes, the way he stayed in that dark place until the very end, really speaks of his commitment to his work but I hope he can get out of it fully. It will probably always be with him but, just like his mind tried to keep him safe during the making off the show by pushing down those moments, I hope he's able to get out of it safely. Love how all the women kept trying to make him at least smile and how he told Niecy that he loved her, like, 'that wasn't me, this is me and I really like you cause you ARE a really likable lady'

The fact that he took time off after doing AHS:Cult because that season took a toll on him and I could see why his character in that season was very dark much darker than the other characters from past seasons. I think that's why when I heard he was playing Jeffrey Dahmer I thought the same thing was going to happen where he was just going to have to take a break from acting again so it's nice to see that he had the support of the cast helping him. I honestly hope he takes a break from doing dark roles for a bit maybe he should go back to doing more comedic roles or just lighter roles. He's a wonderful actor and he clearly puts everything he has into his roles but obviously that takes a toll. I would like to see him continue to grow as an actor into his old age.

As someone that’s watched countless serial killer documentaries, listens to true crime every day, this series was so heavy even I had to take breaks from watching it. It made you feel like you were in the room with dahmer and his victims. That’s not easy to do and it took the right recipe of casting, producing, directing, set design, etc to come together and make it feel so realistic. I specifically appreciate it because it gave a glimpse into dahmer’s childhood, which interests me in particular as I’m obsessed with finding out the WHY of serial killers. It helped me understand more about human psychology because it’s based in his actual life. The nature vs nurture argument. This shows how it’s caused by both. I think a reason why this show became so incredibly successful is because it gave every single person a chance to step outside of their own self and pick up multiple perspectives. Into mental health, into the human mind, into true human behavior, society shortcomings and everything in between. It brings up the question of are people born evil, or are they taught? We heard the victims stories, we saw where people were let down, and we saw where someone went wrong when maybe. Just maybe. He could have been saved. We won’t know. But its the fact that people from across the globe for 10 episodes got to step outside of their lives and see how different the world is. It was the first time ever for me to watch a show twice and I feel like I can watch it over and over again and never get bored. all the cast was perfect, they did a great job and Evan really deserves to have all the awards for his brilliant acting in this.

Yesssssss my thoughts exactly I can’t stop thinking about. Outstanding Series 🥇🥇🥇🥇
Evans is soo shy I literally love his existence 😩
Man Evan deserves all the credit, he did such a phenomenal job,I know it was so hard for him to play such a role.
So glad to see this! I've seen quite a few interviews of Evan on his process so I know he's brilliant. It's refreshing to finally hear from Richard Jenkins because I thought he was phenomenal portraying Dahmer's dad. I'm glad they mentioned that scene where he broken down realizing his fault before Dahmer was taken away, and also where he screamed at Joyce outside of the courtroom. Absolutely bone-chilling performances there.

He's a brilliant actor. I realised this even before I watched the show. Unfortunately, I saw an edit of him and Evan from the show, on Tiktok, and I started crying with his performance in that scene when he sees Jeffrey's dead body. I didn't even know the name of his character, only Evan's, but omg, I felt his pain. Richard Jenkins is amazing.

The show was so heavy and almost unbearably disturbing. I couldn't ever watch more than one or two episodes at a time. But that's what I loved was how incredibly difficult it was to watch and absorb. These actors and the writing really portrayed a mood and put out an energy that not many are capable of doing. Absolutely incredible. I'm really loving hearing how the actors felt throughout the making of this show.

Yes! I agree. I could only watch one or two episodes at a time and then I needed a break for one or two days before I could continue. But I loved the show and I really like hearing from the actors about what it was like for them to work on it. If you're interested, feel free to check out the comment I posted recently where I shared stories from the deaf actors and the director of episode 6 of what it was like for them to work with Evan :)

Yesssssssssssss
Niecy Nash is so sweet. She is definitely more than just a comedy Actress and she proved that with this series. More to come from her i hope
I love Niecy so much. She is true, honest. She appreciates people and speaks from the bottom of her heart. Unlike the most of the world (cause it so cool right now to be a bad bitch, reserved and fab). Actors and actresses being asked about the work they've done often tend to repeat that "it was such a great experience to work with those people, the cast has been amazing and I'm really grateful to be a part of this project". But in her case you can literally feel her gratefulness and engagement in what she is saying. I wish everybody had their own Niecy in their life. Not to mention the rest of the people sitting at this table. But there is just something in Niecy that hits me with special warmth
The way Evan said ''I really love you'' makes me cry... HE IS SUPER CUTE
The way Evan is so dedicated and committed to his roles just amazes me and blows my mind, really. He's definitely one of a kind and one in a million, there really aren't many like him in this industry.
Evan...You were so amazing in this role . We can see it changed him . He deserve all the pride and the love of the world . So precious .
Niecy Nash, Evan Peters and Richard Jenkins should all get an Emmy Nomination! They gave extraordinary performances in this film! All actors did they thing but those 3 are the ones that gave unforgettable performances, some of the best you will ever see.
Evan Peters is a amazing talented actor! I love his performance, he deserves a award for this!!!!! 💗💗💗 PROUD TO BE EVAN PETERS FAN! 🥳
Evan didn't get to say what made the show so special! 😅 Well, besides what everyone said, it's basically because of how incredible of an actor he is! Hands down Evan Peters is the best actor of his generation!
I can't get over how effortlessly they dive into a riveting, well-paced, deeply interesting conversation. Such incredibly present, thoughtful artists

Dedication is the key word for sure!! You can tell Evan gave his EVERYTHING to this role. He seems detached when speaking on it in this interview too and it shows how strong of a gift he has. As if he did all he can do, and wants to throw the character out. He understood the assignment.
Loved Evan in AHS so when I heard he was cast as Dahmer I thought he would be perfect for the role but when I watched Dahmer I was so blown away by how good he was I had goosebumps. What an incredibly talented actor a true genius
I loved what Richard Jenkins said about that scene between Dahmer & his father..I love Evan & his father son chemistry..So affectionate.the way he touched Evan's cheek.
Niecy Nash better win that Emmy. Her performance was just incredible! Can’t believe I’d never heard of her before the show.
Richard Jenkins was phenomenal as his father, to be fair all the cast were fantastic shout out to all the supporting actors, who may have only had a few scenes especially the victims.
Niecy Nash is such a wonderful human being and great actress. I just want to hug her ❤
I just hope Evan takes care of himself. He has so many people who love him and care for his health.
There should be a second roundtable interview with Ryan Murphy and the actors who portrayed the victims and their families. It would be interesting to have them being asked such questions like - what did you learn the most from your role? how did your performance affect you personally and emotionally? what are your thoughts about the real life families' response to the series? etc.

The real victims families might be so hurt for this 3 decades case and seeing that all of them portrayed well especially Tony H. mom and the sister of the victim who embodied the emotions from that impact statements trial scene bc of how accurate she have done it same as the real Rita's emotional rage. I don't think they're going to do interviews with the victims families as it would trigger more nightmares that what they thought they have already forgotten.

This show was a masterpiece! Everything was brilliant, especially the acting. Evan Peters was amazing and his performance really got me hooked
I wish they had the actors for the victims on board for this discussion too.. You know, Kieran, Rodney, etc. because it feels like the actual people who lost their lives at the hands of Dahmer, the ones who truly deserved to have their stories retold, were only an afterthought in this entire process...

@@sunnyd3070t’s definitely not just you. It seems like the real-life people affected by this were just an afterthought. I feel like they owe it to the surviving victims, the victims’ immediate/extended families, and even Dahmer’s immediate/extended family to at least reach out to them as some form of compensation- even if it’s in the form of a simple apology for re-opening wounds and putting real faces to these stories. Because the way they talk about it, I don’t think it’s *really* sunk in to them that these people + the next generation of trauma that this spills over to ***are alive and very likely have had their lives negatively affected by the publicity generated by series***.

@@claudettewright365 They tried. The families didn't respond back. It's their right to not want to do anything for this show but if it was a tactic for the show not to get made; it failed. They can't cry about it now because they had their chance to put their voices into the show. Maybe they thought no one would pay that much attention to Dahmer because it happened over 30 years ago; little do they know. Nobody knew it would blow up like it did but it goes to show you, people do want to know about Dahmer, why he did what he did and his impact on society overall. It's just as relevant today as it was over 40 years ago when he was committing his crimes. Don't insult people's intelligence by policing what they want to see or hear. You make your own choices but don't speak for anyone else.

SO much so I have now watched almost all he has done... and I agree - he is a true actor and will be one of the greats if he ever recovers from this one. Hope he is around for a long time! Award Winning performance for sure!
The performance of Evan Peters was incredible. Seeing him sitting there on the interview and just being so humble, not talking very much, just unbelievable. All the actors were great and to be honest, I had to pause it for a few days after 4 episodes because it was too much.

Evan peters has always been an excellent actor, but i think this role specifically highlighted his talent and how gifted he is. Ive watched every jeffery dahmer interview and documentary on earth and Evan perfected the role, he got it down to the tiniest details, even the way he pronounced his “S”s. He has to get an Emmy for this role. Also, Can i just say that this is some of the best casting i’ve seen for a TV show in a minute and definitely the best of 2022.

Evan is the most brilliant actor of this generation honestly!!!
33:22 the part when Evan said he watched "Step Brothers" to help decompress after playing Dahmer is quite resounding to me; my brother is an actor, so I know an actor has to live in the mind of the character they're playing. But then what if the character they're playing is Jeffrey Dahmer--how can anyone attempt to live in the mind of a monster like Dahmer truly takes skill...and Evan nailed it through and through; his portrayal of Dahmer is not only visually scary it was genuinely mortifying.
4 Golden Globe Nominations!!!! Congratulations!!!!!!
All the actors in this show deserve to be awarded for their amazing acting skills 💗💗

The scene that they’re talking about at 21:40 is what broke me and made me burst into tears. I was surprisingly okay until that scene. It felt like I was really watching a father send his son to prison for these horrible things. I felt it in my gut.
When she said “I could smell that room” that’s how descriptive & good the acting and set was!
