@@AllLies-xg9ck People in SC don't get a decent civics education, so they have no idea how their government works or what local elections are for. Our education system also doesn't teach critical thinking. It's incredibly frustrating to see people in my community say absurdly illogical things like "If you want things to get better, stop voting for democrats" What on Earth are you talking about? The vast majority of our politicians in SC are REPUBLICAN, and have been FOR DECADES. How could they possibly blame our issues on "democrats"??? The ugly truth about SC and the Bible Belt is that fundamentalist Christianity often overlaps with bigotry, and that's the real reason they vote red (against their own interests); the GOP is afraid of anyone different, just like they are.

I wouldn't say south Carolinians want "friendly" people, but they do want *outgoing* people. Southerners think "being friendly" means "no respecting boundaries", so they'll want to know everything about you, and expect you to be open about everything. This is a problem of you're not a traditional-christian-conservative. So you're put in this situation where you're rejected by not opening up, but you'll also be rejected if you do open up and you don't fit the mold.

That’s awesome!! We have great agents in Lexington we can set you up with. Let us know if you have any questions as you prepare for your move!
There are three kinds of northerners. 1) The vast majority who are products of their region, have roots and family, like it and stay put. 2)Those who move south because they prefer hot climates with the lifestyle and activities a southern region has to offer. This second group tends to be middle- upper middle class, economically mobile and migrate from metro regions with a higher-than-average cost of living. The bulk of them tend to be retirees. 3) This category includes both retirees and those who relocate due somewhat to circumstances. These transplants who might not be keen on moving south, come because of personal or employment circumstances. This includes a percentage of retirees who couldn't economically swing it and were compelled to move. Both of these sub- groups would've preferred to stay put in their region. It's this third category with the greatest concentration of malcontents.
Good video 👍🏽
This is hot air. I will tell you the lagitamitly number one reason not to move here. South Carolina works HARD to make anyone who wasn't born here homeless. They take FULL advantage of people who move down here with absolutely no affordable housing, no transportation system, and no actual careers. You and your family AND friends will be working 3 jobs to live here, IN AN APARTMENT. Every hurricane season regardless of if one comes anywhere close to SC they will hike up prices on essentials for half a year and act like there were hurricanes happening that whole time. Everything around here is built for consumerism, Tourist's, and a one week trip. This place is NOT ment to start a family or business. In fact you will lose your family, your business AND your sanity trying to live here. The people are 2 faced as HELL. At least in a city if someone hates you, you know it and you can avoid them. Here they act like a bunch of elementary school children trying to dig dirt up on eachother and play social politics. All behind a big smile. You hear about THOSE types of neighborhoods, the ones that are all surface level. THAT'S all of South Carolina. You can't live anywhere around here without an HoA. They care more about appearance then substance. I have lived here for 13 years and OMG do I regret moving here. If you're rich and a HUGE snob, you will fit right in.

Wait I love here tho
So true about SC
I want to move there!
Lets see now. I'm unfriendly but my friendliness is somewhat measured. I cherish my four distictive seasons
I’m from South Carolina ? Beaufort to be exact? And we live in Ohio and many people as soon as they find out your from any part of the south for some reason they hate you? Many people here do anyways I can’t speak for all people in Ohio I just can’t understand what did to them I don’t remember doing anything because I’m 25 and I haven’t said or done anything to be rude to the people here.
Where I'm from there is poop all over the street and everyone thinks it's so normal we have an app for it. So uh, yeah this doesn't deter me at all bro. I'm getting the hell out of this city.
What kind of jobs can you find in SC.
Oh my God if these are the negatives this must be a great place to live.
Is it safe ?
I love South Carolina beautiful country side wouldn't trade it for nothing in the world
Anyone know hiway 78 landon sc is
I lived in Simpsonville Sc from Indiana and there are a lot of dicks there. I’ve moved about 30 minutes away in a small town and they are so much nicer.
I am a Puertorrican entrepreneur planning to move with Boeing for my hubby... Do you think we will face racist aggression? I only dare to ask, because you seem very grounded and down to earth.

I don’t want to say that you’d never encounter some racism. However, it is not as common as certain media outlets make it seem. We have a very diverse state, that has a culture of inclusion and hospitality. The Charleston area, where Boeing is, is exceptional for all nationalities and walks of life!

@@livinginsouthcarolina Thank you so much for your honest reply. It is so helpful to hear this.
All of the negatives that you mentioned are exactly why we moved here. Those that don't really fit in to our life style at this time will probably see the error of their ways when they grow up.

I also live in SC. I wonder if his angle was to repel the woke from considering moving here? He sounded quite conservative to me. Trump 2024!

We need progress, not more of the same. Check out the poverty and homelessness rates in SC sometime. We rank low in education and healthcare. It's a GOP hellhole, and Lindsey Graham hands out the pitchforks.
I am an Army Brat of 25 years as well as military spouse. I have been all over this country; moved to Charelston SC 2 years ago. This is not a place for a progressive African American. This state is still very segregated and racist. If it was my choice NC or I would have stayed in the Midwest. Take heed
They do have alit jobs here though affordable good things
