Skip Myrtle - go to North Myrtle and look for a renovated home in an Intracoastal Waterfront community (Foxfire the most popular). You can buy a home the same size as a condo but for a FRACTION of the price, and can skip the mortgage payment and HOA. SCAN ZILLOW for "mobile homes North Myrtle Beach" and you may be able to find a great home for LESS THAN $125K!! Sell a house up North like we did, and that means putting $400K+ IN THE BANK and NOT having to worry about a mortgage!!
Thank you!! Been looking for a video like this for North Augusta!
Thanks for tuning in! Do you have any specific questions about North Augusta? Planning to make more videos about the area soon!
@@livinginsouthcarolina I'll let you know if questions come up! I do plan to move to the area - currently in the Spartanburg area. My timing is uncertain at the moment. I'll be visiting soon and I love watching your videos! Hmmm, one question arrived... Are there any 55+ communities in NA? TY!
Nothing against anyone why you move to south Carolina I live here all my life I just don't see it here. I am planning on moving asap.
Is there any western riding out there at all?
I love Spartanburg this is not true im 35 was born and raised in SC .Its only certain parts to not go to ,comman sense says avoid it but i never been shot in a fight or had my belomgings stolen out of 35 years . Its about how you live and what part you choose to have a home .All of Spartanburg isnt bad at all .
Stop coming here please. Nothing to see! 😅
Agreed 😂😂🎉
local grown here: Most of the video is accurate, its a beautiful place and a great place for my family. Some context will help. Near the end of the video they show #5,6, 7 on the lists. you also see a glimpse of the population numbers. It says 77K for the city of Greenville. A relatively small number but the key word is "city". Just outside those city lines, the population density skyrockets. I'm guessing the county is closer to 500K. Traffic is horrible and the people who can fix it are slow to move in any direction. The housing inventory has been low for 5 years. house values have skyrocketed since Covid started. Weather is great most of the time and we get all forms of it. If you just got here, welcome to town!
Greenville county 568k metropolitan area 975k CSA 1.6k
Am going there for trip today am leaving at 1:00 pm eastern time
Can you tell us how you looked at the city of Greenville?

Lived in burg for 9 years. It's going down the shitter & picking up speed.
Boring and a dump.
My dad, mom, granny, my brother, myself and cousin would always spend 2 weeks during the summer there back in the 90's. 2017 I transitioned to female. How do trans people get treated there? Employment ect. We live in WV unfortunately and it's almost like hell for us. Im a house keeper for hotel's and a haunted house actress.
6% is not correct
Please don’t move here. Infrastructure is already struggling (water and roads) and both lakes have become a circus.
My #1 restaurant is Fork Grove Barbecue.
Greenville is full of corruption all these people moving down here only participating in corruption.. speak about the homeless and the segregation in the state, county, and city
This place sucks now summerville is no longer the small town I remember There was an article I read 64 people a day moveing here a day It's insane and 90%of these transplants can't f###ing drive On top of the roads can't handle the volume of people that are here now What use to be a 30 min ride can take a hour and a half wtf 😑 The deforestation off 61 is insane and putting up stick built homes and selling them 400s ...I guess putting an s at the end of 400s don't look as bad as 400,000 That said you can't even get an apt here for under 1600 for a 2 bed Trailers are cheaper 😅 And the apt is only 900sq ft But what's heleven worse it's driving the locals out And on a sad note the rent is so hi I seen a family of 5 man had no house living camp ground to camp ground 😢 but they had high spirits And like you said ass people that act like a holes They talk big but I bite Don't mess with no one from sc we like to fight and smile 😂
Really good info, thanks for laying it all out so well.
Any chance of getting a nice 1800sqft home with mature trees and nice yard for $350ish in powdersville… or is it all .25 acre lot cookie cutters?
Shoot us an email: [email protected] It’s definitely possible. But, that is a highly desired type of property. So, it’s the sort of thing we have to jump right on when available

moving to spartanburg from nyc
Love that! We would love to help you with the move. Email us: [email protected]
@@livinginsouthcarolina great going to check out the info thanks
I’ve owned a second home in SC for 14 years now and initially wanted to retire here, however it is not the tax haven I thought it was. To begin with, they are going to tax my government pension which is going to cost me thousands. The car registration costs are insane. I wanted to sell my 2BR Condo and move to a bigger place but the prices have gone up so much that it’s going to cost what a house in suburban NYC costs. Gas prices have creeped up and car maintenance costs what it does in NY. The prices at the local restaurants are also comparable to NY. I’m going to wait a year and see if Florida can figure out its insurance and property tax issue and maybe go there instead.
Thank you for all your videos ❤❤❤❤
Born and raised there! Moved up north 12 years ago and Spartanburg will always be my heart and who I am .....I miss it everyday!!!
Wow, please get it right...NORTH Augusta is on the NORTH bank of the Savannah River!
You can live Just about anywhere around Greenville and it would be a winner. Fountain inn is awesome as is travelers rest, Simpsonville, Greer etc etc. win win wherever you choose. Great area 👍👍👍
Best overall discussion of issues pertinent to living in Aiken area come from Lindsey Vance. Watch a variety of her videos, rich w data nuggets & referrals to other info sources.
I am an Army Brat of 25 years as well as military spouse. I have been all over this country; moved to Charelston SC 2 years ago. This is not a place for a progressive African American. This state is still very segregated and racist. If it was my choice NC or I would have stayed in the Midwest. Take heed
Very well done video. I visit every few months and have fallen in love with your town. I absolutely plan to retire there.
W for powdersville

Don’t move to the Upstate of South Carolina if you expect virgin forests. Boutique cities, and southern hospitality. The city fathers have turned it into just another concrete jungle with crowded highways, with subpar homes being slapped together.
You’re just looking in the wrong places
@@livinginsouthcarolina Where in the Upstate is it not being overbuilt?
@@gailcarey3597 EXACTLY 💯, even the wildlife is confused bc bears being spotted in city . Wildlife has lost their habitat 😞😞It's already overcrowded here😑😑😑😑
Short answer yes because I’ve lived in it my whole life so far
I'm a 34 year resident. This town is being overdeveloped and losing it's small town charm due to incompetence by city committees allowing developers to destroy our beautiful town. Aiken has a no vacancy sign
dude i dont know where you got some of the pics but theirnot of these lake . and you have jumping off rock thats jocassee. and we dont wont yankees down here ..... stay above the dixie line...
We love our northern neighbors
@@livinginsouthcarolina maybe yall do but every yankee i meet thinks they know it all ... DON'T COME !!!
After Miami , South Carolina is the second biggest capital of gators and crocs . 👎🏻
The state is very diverse. You don’t really see either unless you’re near the coast
So, my husband and I are thinking of moving to Myrtle Beach b/c we love the water! We’ve lived in GA majority of our lives and we’ve been in the Atlanta area for 10yrs. We have always traveled down to FL so we can get in our water fix. We thought of moving to FL, but the cost of living has become astronomical down there. My mother in law just moved to Myrtle Beach with her husband last year so we at least have SOME family there 😅. I feel as if we should get more of a feel for the town before we just up and move there.
Touch base with us! [email protected] Samantha on our team is phenomenal in Myrtle Beach and would be able to assist you with info on the area!
Homeowners own lake front property on Keowee Lake and hartwell is owned by corp of engineers not the homeowners.
I was born and raised in this absolute shithole. Lol seriously please avoid if you can help it. Unless you are on track for a great job for one of the few big companies in the area (ex: BMW, Miliken) and are looking for a quiet life and low house prices.
Lived in SC for over 20 years. People here are not as friendly as you would think. Drivers literally try to murder you. Also it’s full here so we need no more immigrants. Soon there will be no more rural areas left with all the houses being built around every corner.
We would love to list your house, since it seems like you’re ready to leave!
is aiken for families with small children? how are the schools?
I drove to the east from California looking for our dream home. I'm here, right now in Greenville. Based on the California-like traffic, I believe that everyone is moving to Greenville. But not us. I'm trying to get away from the traffic. We visited Falls Park this morning. Nice move locking the public restrooms. I visited Greer yesterday, since my last name is Greer. Try finding a parking spot.
Avoid the black neighborhoods tho 😂
Nothing. I have done pretty much everything possibly known in Anderson, boring city but great quiet place to start a family. Get yourself a boat and go on the lake.
because of me
Been in CLT since ‘99, it’s gotten too crazy here. Looking at Greenville SC now.

Had the best catfish at Smoke on the Water, I enjoyed that place. 👍🏻
Hey anyone know how that older woman is doing who got gored at Yellowstone?
Move to Charlotte if you want to pay NYC housing costs with one sixth the salary!
This is the most absurd statement I have read in days. I just Google salaries in Charlotte and NewYork City. New York city average salary salary 72,000 a year. Charlotte average salary 67,000 a year. Top 20% New York earners is 107,000 a year. Top 20% Charlotte earners 103,000 a year. These figures are 2024. Yes Manhattan is the highest paying area on New York city, with average salary, 139,000 a year. Top area of Charlotte is South Park, 125,000 a year. These are averages for a family of three. Singles in New York City has the highest salaries in the United States. I
Crowders Mountain State Park is 30 miles west of Charlotte and is absolutely awesome. Stowe Botanical Gardens too, both in Gaston County. Good video.
Please make a similar wonder-full video of North Augusta! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Your attempt at trying to maintain an objective comparison must have been a struggle. Columbia definitely does suck.
