Yes!!! Since New Year's I've written 2,000 words a day, every single day. Sometimes more, but never less. Now I cannot break the streak, no matter what! With 3 pen names to feed, this is working wonderfully. Staying steady is keeping me calm, and my writing is more balanced!

So true! I wish more people would think of it like this so that they could feel like they actually accomplish something. I'm really bummed that we were not able to get you to be a speaker at the first Authortube Writing Conference. But maybe next year you will consider us!

I think I'm a long ways away from 500 words a day, as I only write in my spare time, but thanks, I really needed this!

I had to take a hiatus from writing in order to have a psychotic break, and right now I'm only writing when I feel like it -but I think at some point once I get a little more comfortable localized in a material form again I'll start trying to give it more effort.

Succinct and to the point! So right, 500 words a day still makes a dent! Thanks for the reminder. Just subscribed.

I would just love to have 30 novels under my belt. it would be even better if I could get everyone of them on the New York times best seller list.

Something I learned a while back: "If you only write when you're inspired you may be a fairly decent poet, but you'll never be a novelist because you're going to have to make your word count today and those words aren't going to wait for you whether you're inspired or not." - Neil Gaiman -

In that video where you hook that harmonica clip around your neck and you speech to text, are you writing final draft copy or outline-ish type stuff that you actually write later?
