I agree, I took your advice and got Rusty's spring shocks track bar sway bar links and coil isolators. I got almost 3 inches of lift out of it from where I was sitting. Looks sick too. Thanks man.

It’s funny cus the first weekend I had my WJ I cut and folded all the fenders and wheel wells. The next weekend I did BB, shocks, and 33” tires. It’s held up fine after a year of off reading but now I’m trying to decide between a mild build with long arms and 37s or going all out with 1 tons 40s and a transfer case swap.

I have one on my 99 and i have mobbed the hell out of it in the backwoods of Oregon, Montana, and all through the desert..till I ended up here in Cali. Lots of water fording, crawling, hills, everything.. it's been great.

Good video, beautiful views. Mine's an 01 GC Limited 4.7 out of Stockton, went with a 2.5" spring lift. Definitely agree with replacing the coil isolators, I've seen others who didn't, and on top of missing out on maximum lift gains, they're damn noisy. I went ahead and covered all the bases: BDS springs, Bilstein shocks, Moog isolators, Zone sway bar links, CORE 4x4 HD track bar, all new control arms, and axle bushings.

Once you have a lift with real articulation you will never want to go back. I compare my last trip down Mojave Trail to my first with the BB. DAY AND NIGHT! I can't wait to go through Lippincott Pass in DVNP. It was such a struggle with the BB exhaust scraping the rocks, trying not to hit the rocker panels. I did put new springs in with the BB. Looking forward to Steel Pass, I didn't even attempt it with the BB.

Right now, I have my BB lift and new lower cool spring isolators for front and back. I have been considering new springs, after watching this, I think I will get new springs as well. Nervous though, I have rims with -6 offset. That caused Death wobble. Fixed it for my current height, but nervous if I go hire, it will come back. 🤷🏾‍♂️

@@NajarOffroad You can purchase a Rust's 2.5" lift kit, new shocks and springs all around for $379.00. I would also recommend at that point new track bar and new extended end links for sway bar. It gets expensive no matter what you do. Some people also run a lifted spring kit with spacers, seems kind of sketchy to me. I was going to look at doing a budget lift, but I think after watching this Ill save up to get that Rusty's kit. Thanks for your input.

  • @NajarOffroad

Yea I would definitely recommend a minimum of a trackbar! I bought Rustys springs because I’ve heard good things about them so definitely go with them! It does add up real quick! I spent $1400 already and I still need quick disconnects and shocks!

Wow! The best way to go about it is measuring center of the wheel to edge of the fender which should give you about 18 inches if it’s lower than that the that means the spring is weak and should be replaced

If I just bought and installed springs and isolators, do you think the bb would be worth it? Was looking for a cheaper option for running my current 245/75/R17(I think about a 31in tire) with a higher stance, and taking some rubbing issue out.
