I recently started cutting mine twice because the cut was so much nicer. I noticed that the lawn was coming back faster and getting thicker. I am glad to see this video confirm that finding.

Never afraid to double cut. Try removing the chute and just use a bungie to hold that door open won't clog as much and it will shoot the grass further. Looking good

I just did this to my front lawn. Been mowing at 2” since May, only took it down an inch more and it looked like total crap. Still in the recovery phase yet. Started spoon feeding again, hope that peels things up. The double cut certainly works though!

Completely off topic but I just have a question I haven’t been able to find the answer to anywhere. I live in Alberta Canada and my lawn along with everyone else’s goes totally brown and dormant in the winter. My question is, in the spring do those brown blades of grass begin to turn green again, or does the grass grow new blades? It seems like the answer is new blades, because every spring I have a lot of dead material that doesn’t go away. I’m asking because I’m already looking forward to next spring because my grass is already going dormant, lol, and I’m just wondering if in the spring if I should just scalp all of the dead stuff off so I don’t get matting and don’t have so much dead material in the lawn. Thanks!

You gave your self more work why not catch it first time? If your are going to blow it out the side never blow it to the side your going to cut next. By time you get on your third cut you would have to much build up of grass. Also why should you cut twice?? You did not say.
