Thank you for all the great feedback on the music at 6:22 . We created it using udio.com and its fun making these lyrics and songs for the games, so we will make some more in the future!

I really hope by the end of 2024 we get at least one compact pc handheld under 500 dollars, my steam deck will have to do until then.

I have been debating for a few weeks getting a 2024 mini, but I already have an Ally. My main driver is the form factor and ease of use especially when traveling and playing mmos where some chat would be nice. Also, Fits in bags much easier. But looking at the performance I am wondering if it may be worth it to see how the 2025 model is with hopefully a marked increase in performance and heat handling over this model, and hopefully an improvement over the Ally? Man that clam shell form factor though just sings to me.

sadly the dice rolling of gpd removed the OCuLink Port, making it a no go for last gen owners as an upgrade path.

I quite like this layout, less bulky than competing devices. Amazing where handheld devices are going. I suspect Nintendo's next console will be somewhat within this form factor, rather than the way of the Deck, Ally, Claw etc.

Can you thoroughly test the touch screen near the bottom middle of the screen. Try scrolling on KZread. Mine sometimes doesn't respond in that small area but the rest of the screen registers touch just fine everytime. Thanks for the video

I got a colleague to test a Win Mini 2024 today and he had no issues. I also asked our customer service if they had any reports and haven't had any so far. We created the lyrics with the help of ChatGPT, and then used those on Udio.com to generate the music for it.

If im buying the mini over the slide (not sure yet) it will deff be a 2023 model since oculink port

Thunderbolt 4 ain't ready, too much of a bandwidth bottleneck. Thunderbolt 5 will finally solve the issue and retire the occulink port. I got the 2023 version too

@@axelgear666 There is a noticeable difference between OcuLink and USB 4 connections. In our GPD G1 and ONEXGPU reviews we have tried both and you can see the difference.

@DroiX_Store yeah and occulink wins out, that why I choose that one. It's only downside is that it's not hotpluggable compared to thunderbolt. On avg most current thunderbolt 4 egpu connections reach a generous 50-70fps, wirh everything cranked on high settings, at 1440p res.(And probably would be lower depending on how badly optimized a game is. UBISOFT FOR EXAMPLE LEL) My argument was simply thunderbolt 5 might be sufficient enough to perform or exceed today's current occulink. Might even be cheaper to simply go all out with thunderbolt 5 ports everywhere and omit the occulink port to trim costs down next time around with a future SOC I still would like to see both thunderbolt 5 and occulink together for future SOC's but it all depends what gpd wants to do and if there's any cost cutting involved. Really hope not these devices are premium and geared to dedicated niche groups willing to pay

@@axelgear666 Yeah I reckon by the time Thunderbolt 5 is ready that the handhelds and mini PCs will support them. They are usually supported fairly fast on them.

All these handhelds play well indoors, but for the purpose they’re built for to be carried outdoors they perform terribly, you can hardly see the screen, please do outside tests to prove all u see is reflections! Very annoying after spending all that money!

Totally not worth the price in any way. This doesn't game as well as a handheld and it doesn't do computer stuff as well as a laptop. I cannot imagine why you would want this when you could get either a laptop or a steam deck for half the price. Devices like this are the Netbooks of 2024.

@@Manujaeger13 seems so! I mean if I had this in 2005 I’d be elated. But it’s trying to fill some portion of the Handheld/Smartphone/Laptop triangle but seems to fail miserably as a replacement for any of them.

It is mainly the size that is the attraction. You can't hold your standard laptop in your hands and play a game on built in controls.

Anybody looking at handhelds isn't looking at laptops. That's like saying, lemme build an SFFPC instead of a laptop because I can make one 10x more powerful for cheaper. They are two different markets. Furthermore, the Steam Deck OLED is heavily underpowered & is absolute ass when it comes to higher end emulation. Not mention half the games still don't work or have issues. Also, 16:10 ratio sucks. Black bars are annoying & even worse when said games like FFVII Remake will not support 800P & always have black bars. 100% worth the price. ​@@psychodad4434
