I haven't fasted in like 10 years . I was 10 years old. I currently work, can I fast for something that I want, like heath or anything really and the thing is, am I supposed to be praying the whole time? It's hard to work at the same time. Or more or less just fast and as I feel hunger pause and pray and tell God my desire and to guide me? God bless thanks!

Praise Jesus everyday.

I was delivered from depression after a 3 day water fast. On the third day of the fast I said spirit of depression come out of me in Jesus name and then I forced myself to cough. First cough and second cough was my breath, but the third cough was demonic breath and I cough out depression. I have never had it again. That was years ago, all glory to God in Jesus name! Deliverance and fasting works!

Fasting healed me from a sexual addiction and delivered me from the Jezebel spirit. God revealed to me that I was operating under that spirit after feeling so condemned while I was in that lifestyle. It was as if I had no control over it and something was pushing me to commit these immoral acts. After I fasted, the desire went away and I am 4 months into my abstinence and I have zero desire to do anything. Fasting is a powerful spiritual tool, just sharing my testimony and hope it speaks to someone. Be encouraged!

In 2019 I fasted for 3 Days Straight without any food or water.. i was just praying and worship and confessing all my sins and humble myself before God. Didn't ask for anything in particular. After that 3 Days of Fasting, I ended up meeting my now husband few days later by coincidence at a parking lot. My husband, he's an amazing man of God and I can testify how he's really the one from God for me.

During fasting, try to not ask for anything.. just be humble and confess all your sins...if you find it hard to speak out loud.. just write on a paper all your thoughts and confession. At the end, pray over it and then burn those papers as a step of faith believing that In Jesus' name it's over. Read 1 John 1: 9-10. You are forgiven and You are no longer a slave to sins. Everyday proclaim with your mouth that You are no longer a slave. listen to this song called "No Longer Slaves" by Jonathan Davis and Melissa Helser. God bless you

Fasting is definitely amazing. I fasted and prayed fall of last year and I ended up getting 12 months of free rent. I didn’t ask for that specifically but I guess when you draw closer to God, ….”all things are added” Edit: I prayed again and the Lord gave me 6 more months recently :). In 2019 I was laid off with a severance package. God was sooooo good and He made sure I lacked nothing! He also blessed me with a contract job I never interviewed for. Before the contract ended, God led me to do the Esther Fast 3 days and on the 2nd day I got an offer letter for A MUCH BETTER FULL TIME JOB! Jesus answers prayers guys don’t ever give up

Have faith and believe that God wants your life better including a great job you will love. He has already answered your prayer even before you call. So please have this in your mind!❤️

Fasting breaks chains, it can set a person free from addictions and there are some problems they need fasting to disappear not prayer only, you become active more in the spirit than the flesh, fasting can also help in forgiveness of sins and it changes and increases a persons spirit and faith.

@@salawudeenolawale5317 I love his prayers thank you for sharing your fasting, I believe its good to taper down with fasting then just cold turkey because we may go through horrible withdrawals especially like those who have so much sugars, coffee, sodas those that really get people addicted like chocolate too chocolate has caffeine so it becomes addicted too but yes fasting does strengthen our bond to God sacrificing fleshly desires pleases him.

Amen. I fasted for 3days dry n God gave me a salary increment and gave me some instructions. In the vision, I found myself asking him"who're u? "Bt deep inside me, I felt I was speaking to the Holy spirit. Then he told me"I AM GOD ETERNAL" n i felt so good n fresh. I smiled the whole day. Up to today, i can still remember his voice. It feels so good to hear God call your name. I was struggling with secular music and reading novels bt all went when I fasted. These days I ask myself what was gaining my attention in those songs n immoral literature I was reading. 🤔🤔🤔. I also received a gift of praying in Tongues. 🙏🙏🙏 Trust me, that fast wasn't easy coz I was working while on a dry fast n at work, I had no day offs bt God was faithful. I could feel my knees almost giving way bt I pushed on. Fasting is a sacrifice. He has now instructed me to do a Daniel fast n I am warming up for it. Am supper excited. Am here to encourage somebody that when you fast and focus on God, he won't leave u the same.

I fasted from sundown to sundown the next day and I didn't eat or drink anything, I just prayed to the Lord to forgive my sins in this life time and my past life sins, too.

Yes, I asked the Lord to forgive me for all sins when I fasted to stop smoking cigarettes.

I’m thinking of choosing something to fast from such as no TV for 2 hours No videos unless they are spiritual videos No talking on the phone. Stuff like that. Maybe you can choose something that you want to give up as well so that you can utilize that time with God.

God led me to fast . This is my day two. I’ve seen and received miracles a day before and on the first day already. Glory be to God.

I fast 24 hours a day with 1 meal at 6pm. Every morning I wake up at 6am fasted. My prayers, studying, and exercise have. Intensified exponentially. I’ve become so grateful and happy with my life. My faith in God, the Universe, and Infinite Intelligence has grown beyond imagination. I truly feel connected to my spirit self.

The only safe place is with the Lord praise God praying for everyone everyday God bless you all

Honestly there is power in fasting, I remember fasting last year for 21days, honestly I saw God's power over my life I had a sick mum who was suffering from cervical cancer, we had no money no job even food , my mum was in alot of pain, I thank God that he brought destiny helpers and we manage to take our mum to hospital and she is doing well in Jesus name

God is indeed wonderful i was battling with fear of negative thoughts in my head for months, couldn't help myself😢 at some point i was scared for my life so i decided to go a three days fasting and praying reading the word of God, the first days was like no change, second i felt relief from fear, third day i became fearless like a lion. every fear disappeared. thank you Jesus 🙏 all power bow before you, am not longer a slave to fear Jesus set me free. the devil was playing with my thoughts, but can't do that now again. thank you Jesus 🙏

It's not an easy journey to fast when u think u can do it all by urself. But when u ask for the strength to fast from God, the journey becomes easier. When I decided to fast, for the first two days it wasn't easy, the smell of food, images of my favourite foods and drinks on my minds eye wasn't an easy battle but I pressed on because what i was going through was enough shame and I didn't want it any longer. Glory be to God fasting has become easier and I feel lighter and at peace with my inner self. You can do it and it works. BE ENCOURAGED.

More power more love more of you in my life

I asked The Holy Spirit to lead me to what He wanted me to see.. And Now I'm here! Fasting has been something I've been wanting to try for a few weeks now as I deepen my relationship with God. I'm going to start today! I have to learn to take it easy though! I'm an All or Nothing type of guy and I'll be out here tryna Fast for 30 days with just bread and water without ever fasting before and feel like a complete failure who God can never love after I fail lol. What I'm trying to say is, Pray and ask The Spirit to lead you into what He wants you to fast! Don't jump out there trying to do something your body can't handle on your own without the guidance of The Holy Spirit! I'm not saying use excuses but Don't be so hard on yourself if you don't make at first. I had to learn that!

Fasting is malnutrition of the body, that is the definition, and it's the fastest way to seek The Lord and for Him to come and reveal Himself to you. I have fasted multiple times for 21 days without food, and also a 40 day fast without food, as long as you are seeking Him He will not let it harm you. Start with 3 days, it's worth laying your food down to seek Him 🙌🙌🙌

I just want to say God has blessed me time and time again when I have fasted to much to go in detail I just want anyone who is considering it to know it really does work. And anything that gets us closer to the Lord is worth giving up anything our flesh desires.

Worship song that made closer to God was “They that Wait” by Fred Hammond and “Praise Him in Advance” by Marvin Sapp. I listened to these 2 songs to keep my faith and patience in God and made me understand that we have to thank God for answered prayers even when we don’t see changes. I listened to these songs for months consistently praising and worshipping and I finally received the answers to my prayers and more than I could ever think of. Now it’s a lot easier to trust and try Jesus then ever and I’m incredibly grateful for him❤❤❤

I didn't know how I came across this but this really helped me.. I had to write the prayer down to be praying it every single day...When I wake up..Feeling blessed 🙏🏿

I can truly testify that the power of fasting and prayer are so powerful. Everything that I am experiencing now are products of my prayer and fasting to God a couple of months ago. Glory be unto our God. ❤

Just commenting on the thumbnail, sometime last year I had an encounter like this. I was asleep but I felt someone standing over me. I also saw myself laying down in a balled up position. Wow this is amazing 😢. I couldn’t articulate or express what I’ve encountered. This thumbnail though shows that I was aware of what was going on and I wasn’t wrong.

Everytime i tryd to fast i ended up eating bt i morng i askd God to give mi strength ,the holy spirit told mi to taje advantage of this loadshedding nt to cook anything until late and i did it. On the second day as i was scrolling on sermons about fasting ,God opened my eyes that fasting and praying also is a gift he had given mi for loosing weight as i was struggling for almost half my life to loose weight . Tryd everything bt to no avail i found out i had a demon of eating disorder bt thanks to our Almighty God im delivered .🎉🎉🎉My life will never be the same again

God made me watch this so that I can stop stressing myself ...I know with this I have already breakthrough 🙏🏻

Am on fasting for supernatural power direction from the lord Jesus to show me direction in this 2024.

Through fasting and prayer God is able to reveal things that are in the dark and one end up being protected. For me it happened recently where someone I trusted a family member that used to come to my House and I used to help was the one causing more conflict between me and my sibling and saying things. But through the holy spirit I was able to forgive immediately u found out I was shocked for few seconds till today I'm not angry

And I don’t know where ppl get this new type of fasting where they say “I’m fasting Netflix” no that’s called taking a break from television 😂 come on ppl when u fast u should be putting away everything tv, phone, social media and everything else that u enjoy to be alone with God away from everyone. My Testimony... We were married for 3 years but we still had no child then I fasted and prayed for 21 days after which God gave us a beautiful son. His name is Jeremiah. 😇❤ God is good all the time

Am fasting in this lent period, my spiritual eyes have been opened and there are alot of revelations about my relationship, my future, elevation among them..i realized that if you dedicate yourself to God through his son Christ Jesus,,he works accordingly in your life 🙏
