There are different types of fasts, but the main priority in fasting is to stay focused on God for however long you choose to fast. And pray. I can go more in depth if you want

I suffered from infertility tried for so many years to get pregnant. I always prayed to god to please bless me with a child. I was watching a mother play with her son on tik tok one day I cried and screamed to god "god please give me a child!!!!!" that same day something in me told me to take a pregnancy test... it came back positive! I couldnt believe it I was in tears and in shock!I took more pregnancy tests and they all came back positive! A week after I found out I was pregnant I found a cross necklace a few steps away from where I worked at and I then knew it was really god all along and never left my side. I now have a 11 month healthy beautiful baby boy. He's turning 1 in a few days! ❤ God is good!

I'm praying and fasting during the last 10 months. Holy Spirit tells me when to fast and for how long. Since I gave my life to Jesus Christ, repent my sins and started fast and pray God: 1. healed my palm from dermatitis (for years I was suffering..my palm had open wounds and bleeding... and intense itching!No medicine or cream worked). God healed me and my palm now is perfect! 2. I had Hashimoto's thyroiditis (used to take medication but I was still feeling bad.. mostly fatigue, thinning hair and depression), but God healed me! 3. God restored the relationship with my husband and some family members 4. God changed my heart and helped me forgive those who harmed me 5. God helped us financially! 6.God healed my hair from alopecia! My hair used to be so thin and short and could not grow for so many years! It was like someone was stealing my hair, if that make sense. And Holy Spirit lead me to scripture where Paul says that women should grow their hair long and I cried so much because all my life I was struggling to grow my hair and said: Lord where is my glory? And I prayed and fast and in the second day of fasting I was between sleep and awake and I felt like someone was pulling something out of my head, I actually felt the pressure and I knew that i was healed. Now my hair are growing fast 🙏 7. I was baptised! 8. God blessed me to write a book about His grace and His law! There is so many blessings, I actually have a diary where I write my prayers and fasting (dates and God's answers 🙏) I'm telling you the truth: God loves us so much and wants the best for us. Another thing I just heard recently is that it sounds like you bad talk yourself and maybe others. You need to forgive yourself and others. You mean everything to the Lord. Start speaking blessings out of your soul. Count your blessings from God. God knows your heart that is all that matters. Anything that you or I can't do, God will give us the skills to do that job. I have been in the same boat as you, I know how you feel. That message that I heard the other day has really helped me. Speak blessings even to those who has wronged you. Just like Jesus did on the cross, he forgave them. That unties God's hands.

I feel the exact same way. I’ve had trouble fasting in the past but I’ll try again each time God puts it on my heart. Repentance and prayer is so important and I have to remember to be humble.

As lm fasting and praying for a nursing job in a foreign land with no experience and fresh from school. Papers about to expire l have no plan at all but l know the Lord has a bigger plan for me. Through my prayer and fasting l am applying my faith to God and l am glad l came across this video. May God help me.

Obey him and do not disobey him for he will withdraw his presence from you which is really scary that is what happens to me now. He witdraw his presence with me for 8 long month of disobedience. He did not depart from me because Lord Jesus promise that the HOLLY SPIRIT will abide in us but the closeness is gone. Unlik before he is like all to me a friend that always has a say but when I disobeyed all what he advised he withdraw his presence. Literally onemorning when I woke up he is not in my heart anymore my heart was empty the space that he oocupied in my heart was empty so be careful.

The last time he did before he withdraw his presence was he prayed for me while I fall asleep. He prayed so loud that I literally heared the HOLLY SPIRIT prayed for me because I was so stubborn that I dare to sleep with out praying. After he prayed for me I felt the protection after. But now that he is gone all those desires for JESUS also gone and I am so messed up. Do not disobey him.

But when we sin the flesh gets stronger and the spirit weakens. The disobedience causes us not to hear him boldly. But the Holy Spirit continues to convict us to draw us back to God. Whenever u feel enpty, search ur heart and pray. Holy Spirit will always be there for us. As God said in His Words 'I will never leave u nor forsake u' God bless!

@@purplecatz894 that's what you thought. It happened to me and I know what I am saying he can withdraw his presence. Withdrawing pressence is not leaving us he still with us. It's so deep that only a person who has the HOLY Spirit will understand. A person with out the HOLY Spirit cannot comprehend by just referring reading to scripture. Only HOLY SPIRIT can reveal to us the true meaning of each words written in it. If you have the HOLY SPIRIT even one verse will blow your mind once HOLLY Spirit truly reveal the meaning of it. I cannot even continue reading to the next verse every time HOLLY SPIRIT did that to me. It is mind BLOWING.

My soul want to cry today during the dry fasting!! I used to smoke some cigarettes a day , 5,6,7,8,10 because of the extreme anxiety , after finishing to smoke vaporizer, today I don’t smoke anything. My fasting is to ask for guidance, health , peace, im so depressed, im separated, after i had 3 relationships that didn’t work, I know i sinned, I don’t know what to do with my life, I have not direction, The days repeat themselves without any meaning, I give thanks because I have what I need and more but I feel empty and without purpose, without vision, without future, I forgot to laugh, I live sad, without any motivation, I pray to heaven to guide me in this desert dry and endless. I will fast for 3 days dry, I don't care, I wish my savior and the Holy Spirit would comfort me, heal me from that chronic anxiety from 24 years ago, that ringing in my ears 24/7, to free me and be happy again. I am in your hands, my weakened and sad eyes cry....

The Lord had me do the Daniel fast starting February 1st until He told me I was finished. I was praying for my daughter and son-in-law for breakthrough. The breakthrough came on March 20th when the peace of God came over me once I placed my daughter and son-in-law at the Lord's feet and I firmly believed that the Lord knows where they are and He is going to draw them to Him before they leave this earth but He will do it to bring glory to His name!! I've been contemplating fasting and prayer since turning my life and my will over to God and accepting Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Finally today I asked God "How long should I fast?" I looked to the sky and wouldn't you believe it there were 3 small circular shaped clouds all next to each other and the they were the only 3 clouds in the sky. So 3 days it is. Praise God.

The Holy Spirit is so amazing just when I need direction on fasting and Prayer...im gonna commit to spiritual discipline because I wanna go deeper Holy Spirit. 😭🤧♥️

Great sermon! Fasting has so many benefits. Ironically a three day fast is a perfect fast for healing your own body. Fasting short or long periods can heal you from Diabetes, high blood pressure, gluttony and even cancer. We weren’t meant to eat all the time. It’s not normal. Unlike what you mentioned in the sermon, with practice you can get clarity and calmness with the practice of fasting. I also think it’s ok to use as a weight loss tool especially for the sin of gluttony. Once you get used to fasting, your body naturally gets used to eating less overall. Start out slowly with one meal less a day. I’ve done 2 24 hr fasts and since last month skip breakfast just about everyday. I feel wonderful and feel that God is with me more than ever. He speaks to me a lot now as he knows I want to do the right thing for Him and also to treat my body as a temple for Him.

Hi, I don't know if you will ever even see what I'm saying to you. To me I believe that fasting ( to me) is a request to God to help me with a physical problem. I use fasting to ask for God's help with a Giant, in my life. I use fasting because this is like a deeper level of worship and expecting God to move this Mountain

Do you find that it helps you ? this is a genuine question. i have loved Jesus alot of my life but haven't done much fasting.

I asked God to send me a message to teach me all of the ins and outs of fasting and prayer. I consider this message today as my answer. You have cleared up may questions that I had. I am so thankful David commonly mentions OCD in practicing faith, Over 15 years ago when I was a young person, and I had dedicated my life to God fully, I struggled so much with that! I remember when I washed silverware I needed to wash it a certain amount of times (like 7 times), or I knew, and God knew it wasn't really clean, and He would be displeased with me. I am so HAPPY I don't deal with that anymore! God has led me down a long road friends. But for anyone out there that suffers with that, keep leaning on Him, He got me through it :)

To me, fasting when reading the Bible is the right way of reading it, the spiritual impact is massive and the scripture literally changes me while reading, it opens the dorrs of the words written, and the spirit is giving me a true understanding of what is written. I have also been delivered from demonic spirits when reading while fasting. It is a amazing experience, and fasting is becoming more a part of my life. Thank you Jesus Christ 🤍✝️🤍

1:31 David, you know why I like you? Because you ain’t neva lie. I am a glutton. Mostly because I am a stress eater. The one thing missing from my Christian walk is fasting. I could never fast more than 24 hours. Asking for the prayers of you and the community. I want to grow in my walk with Christ. I want to fast like the Spiritually strongest of us Christians.
