Hello, I like your video very much! It is fascinating! Very straightforward, audible, clear, practical, easy and convincing explanations! Extremely helpful and beneficial indeed! The only problem I have back in my country-Cambodia is that we don’t have such wide and good Highways to enjoy and take advantages of this cruise control which could other wise enhance fuel efficiency as you’ve rightly mentioned as long as I wish. I tried to turn it on and in the next five or 10 minutes I have to push a break as traffics are usually very busy with many cars (and event cows and buffalo or dogs are on streets) coming and going or crossing ! Thanks so much again. I appreciate your time to share and explain your technical expertise and very practical experience! God bless you!

Biggest reason to use cruise control is so you don't annoy every single person in the world I can handle going slow but I can't handle constantly changing speed based on somebody who doesn't use cruise control

I agree to an extent. However cruise control is most efficient on level roads. On hilly roads, the control cannot for see climbs. Engineers who specialize in high efficiency applications recommended to gain momentum before hills. And coast down them. Also, some people rest their right below the peddles and make a habit of it. It the event where a quick maneuver is needed, their foot is lodged behind the peddles and they can't brake or accelerate in time. (Which is why I disagree to the rule where drivers should only drive with one foot instead of using one for brake and one for throttle) Cruise control is a great feature, but is safest on open and level roads while always being alert for an emergency Happy Motoring

You have some good points other than driving with two feet, you have no stability at all and that is gonna be worse than if you just pay attention and keep your foot waiting at the brake like you should be anyway tbh but there will always be someone not paying attention so moot point I guess

I just got a speeding ticket 🎟 and ended up doing judication or probation, tried to figure out how was I going to prevent getting another speeding ticket while on probation, was thinking 🤔 of a radar detector but it hit me, why not use cruise control, I came to KZread to see if this would damage my car because I love it so much that even after probation I would like to continue using it, I drive quite the distance for my job 3 days out the week and this is alot on my legs and cruise control has helped with this tremendously, if that thing goes out I'm buying another car

Incorrect, we use manuals were we are from and you can go from second to 5th and coast at 30, this will treble the mpg, it will put a little strain on the motor but if using diesel it wont do it any harm. Careful controlling the revs and getting a perfect clutch pedal i can keep my range at 18 miles left, do 6 or 7 miles and it go down 1 mile...

Who cares about fuel efficiency, the ONLY TRUE BENEFIT of using cruise control is that it helps keep you from getting SPEEDING TICKETS. So many times there are areas in the road where there are slight downward inclines and without you realizing it your car will speed up just enough that the cop at the other end will guarantee himself giving you a speeding ticket for going 5 MPH over the limit. These days its all about REVENUE GENERATION and police will give you tickets for as little as 3 MPH over the speed limit, so don't feed the police revenue stream, keep the money in your wallet and use your cruise control to set your car's speed to EXACTLY the speed limit and drive worry-free. Here is just one example of police stopping drivers for speeding 3 MPH over the speed limit; Police State - Nevada cops extort over 50k from Innocent Motorists

what a stupid piece of advice. You're telling people to multitask while driving. If one or more wheels hydroplanes, the cruise control will be confused by the slow down in speed, and attempt to correct it. It cannot 'see' your car is skidding fast enough, so the car will attempt to accelerate before it realizes it's doing so too fast (as if in neutral) and shuts itself down. Or, it won't see anything, if you will, and keep the power on, and the car is just spinning out of control at that point. Either way, the damage is done, you've hit a tree or something.
