AutoVlog hey just a heads up, if the car is really dirty, it’s best to soap the car first, & the high pressure water can push little dirt across the paint & can scratch it, with the soap, it adds some lubrication & as the soap falls down, it pulls the dirt with is without scratching the paint with the high pressure washer

Other than getting the hose connector turned around (watch out for that one), the machine is simple to put together and use kzread.infoUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP . And very nice, too. I'm surprised at the power-it's more than we'll ever need, and we've not even used the most powerful setting yet.I've cleaned off a dirty concrete porch to get it ready for sealing, started to clean siding, and I know this pressure washer will be terrific for cleaning tools this fall. The only issue we had is we had turned around the hose connector, and it leaked. Once it was on correctly, though, we had no problems with the connection. Just remember that the end with the green knob goes towards the hose. It's obvious now what we did wrong, but not necessarily obvious at the time.

I'm surprised that no one mentioned this: Water is Ph neutral and it leaves stains. The Ph isn't the reason for your water marks; it's mineral content. Love the barbie bike in the garage! Great video tho - I gotta try the touchless drying.

Couple points for the viewers: Ph doesnt mean "The car will not spot in direct sunlight," its all about water and minerals in it and the evaporation of the water that leaves the minerals behind thus creating that waterspot. Ph usually just refers to it being a safe soap that wont strip any waxes on the vehicle already. Another thing to note ( having owned 15-150$ foam cannons) just get a cheap 15$ one itll last just as long and do the job, Soap wise dont get fooled into buying all the hyped up soap, Meguiars Gold class shampoo & conditioner is one of the highest loved among professional detailers.

pH is simply an indication of the degree of acidity (ph 7) of an aqueous solution based on the concentration of hydrogen ions. The minerals present in city water that cause hardness generally raise the pH of water and leave deposits (in your pipes, appliances and on your car).

Hi, I enjoyed your video. One thing I have always done for thirty years or so is I never touch my cars with a wash mitt without a sheet of water running over the paint, under the mitt, from a garden hose in my other hand. This lubricates and washes away any contaminates as I gently wash. I also pressure wash and foam cannon, so it all works very well together. But, the sheet of water running over the paint is key.

When you spend that much money on a car, you'd be insane not to take major care of it! Yes, it still "looks" super clean, but if he waits until the car is actually visibly dirty, the damage is already done. Bugs, dirt, even fingerprints and oil from your skin damages your paint.

More power to you if you can use city water in the sun and not get spots! For a light cleaning I usually do a quick ONR and use combo of leaf blower, blaster, and mf towel with detail spray.

It is, but I found it quite impressive. If your car is actually dirty though then you'll need to touch the paint to clean it unless you use a pressure washer so powerful it just strips the paint right off.

@vincentmcclain9307 A leaf blower or air compressor can work well to remove excess water before towel drying, but you'd want to do it in a clean environment or you risk kicking up dust and dirt back onto the car. A professionally applied ceramic coat is a complete game-changer for washing and drying cars. I highly recommend it if you plan on keeping the car more than a few years.

I have a floor model air blower with the same nozzle at the end. Its really hard to get all the water off. I found that if I carefully wipe the top with a good microfibre including all windows and then use the blower to get off any water residue I can do a lot better job on the paint. This is where I devote my time. This saves a lot of time. Maybe 15 minutes and a decent amount of effort. As I said its almost impossible to get all the water off with the blower. It needs some assistance and I found that what I did was a big help.

I’ve used these type of dryers and they do work well, but there are always some small dots of water so I go over it with waffle drying towel. The no touch method I have done, I use a Worx “pressure washer” (I call it a low pressure washer, because it’s nothing like my High pressure washer. Also, I got worx brand because 3 years ago, no one else made them, no Dewalt, ryobi, etc, all make something similar. Anyway, I use one of those fertilizer type plastic back packs and fill it with 2-3 gallons of distilled water for my 911 or 3-4 for my truck or one of our SUVs. After I have rinsed with my normal pressure washer (I also have an in line water filter that people use for RVs between my hose outlet and the high pressure washer.....yes, I’m a little OCD). I quickly fill the plastic backpack container with a few gallons of the distilled water and use the worx battery powered pressure washer and thoroughly go over the car. Literally, you can walk away and the next morning it will be dry with No water spots. Note-I have only done this on my truck. The 911 I always go much further into the detailing, so on that car, I still use the air blower method and then dry from there (sometimes using a very very light mist of quality detailer). And from there I go to the wheel, tires, etc. I honestly can’t imagine a black car having No spots using tap water and an air blower, in the sun, with no touching.

Reasonably new to the chanel, so apologies if you've already done an item on this; Have you thought about Paint Protection Film (PPF) or a Ceramic Coating? With PPF, the car is protected against scratches and swirl marks. Even if someone drags a key along the paint, the paintwork beneath is unharmed. Not a cheap process to have done, but on an expensive car like the AMG, it makes alot of sense and gives peace of mind.

Doesn't that degrade the appearance, shine, etc.? I think I have that on just the front facing most pebble chip prone areas of my M3, I think of it as sort of like those old bras (remember those fabric covers some ppl would put on the front?...thankfully a thing of the past as they looked like hell), or bra-lite, it degrades the appearance slightly to reduce the chipping down the road, so it's sort of a toss up.

Sandor Alex Fazekas that's a bad idea . If gas blower all the smoke particles mix with the the water particles and acid will build up , this will not be noticeable at first but can damage the paint in the long run , using a proper air blower with filter is best since dust particles are a little less .

Thanks for the tips I’ve seen people using a Leaf Blower to dry the car. Probably good to start with that then transition to a smaller one to get into the nooks and crannies. Thoughts?
