Actually if you multiply the half year work for the dole hours by the minimum wage and compare that to the years dole payments, you'll find the long term unemployed are net contributors, and it's only the tiny portion of people who are between jobs for 3 to 6 months and aren't rich and never again go on the dole who are parasites. Them and pensioners, since we're now paying for our own pensions through super and our grandparents' current pensions. It's actually just a round about scheme by which government money is donated to charities who cover basic necessities to the poor who's benefit payments are too low, in the form of labour by those very same people. All the while funnelling money off to unemployment agencies and paid training scammers and undercutting the unskilled labour market.

Outsourcing contracts to Private Companies to perform the responsibilities of the State is never a good idea. Being in the UK with a similar Tory Government, we have had the same issue with contracts being issued out to companies who have no experience in what they are being contracted to do. The most notable example during the middle of the Brexit negotiations where the Government contracted a company to provide Ferry services across the English Channel despite not owning any Ferry's. The Contract did get cancelled in the end, but not after the Company got paid out a few 100k in compensation. Expect Scomo, the Lib's and Tories to continue to give the State's money to friends at the expense of the Taxpayer.

Worst govt was Rudd/Gillard/ALP. First thing they did was drop our borders and lock up 50,000 boat people. Then Rudd destroyed our car industry. it was dead by 2013. Then Rudd lied about a NBN finished by 2013. Then Rudd trashed the budget and we have not run a surplus budget since 2007.

By 2013 that had crashed to only 10%. When Ford announced they were leaving when Gillard was PM the industry was dead In 2007 Rudd promised a NBN costing taxpayers $4.7B and finished by 2013. He then threw that policy into the bin and came up with FTTP in 2009 costing who knows what finished who knows when

@@JimboJones99 Look, I get that it's unknown to you and it's reasonable to question things, but all of the scientists and doctors and nurses involved in the vaccine rollout, the ones who've read the studies and actually seen the data, are happily getting vaccinated. Look at it this way - if the vaccine manufacturers were so good at hiding serious side effects why couldn't they hide the clotting disorder from AZ? These vaccines are safe if used as recommended (over 60 for AZ) and effective, and the components that make them up are well documented and well understood if you want to know more.

If anything, many people who've had covid experience long term health effects. The vaccines aren't experimental. It's already shown to be effective at preventing people from getting covid or reduces the severity of symptoms. The fact that you're calling it "the sniffles" really just shows you're either not informed about covid or just don't care about the millions of people dying around the world from it. Probably both.
