Why You’re NOT Losing Fat (TRUTH!!)

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

If you’ve been trying to lose body fat but haven’t been successful despite following all the good advice on fat loss that you can get a hold of, this video is for you. In this video, I’m going to show you how good advice at the wrong time can become bad advice. If you are not losing fat as fast as you would like to, likely it is because you aren’t focusing on the right things.

To start, it helps to define certain levels of body fat so that we are all on the same page. If you are greater than 30 percent body fat, your number one culprit is and always will be your nutrition. It is not about the amount of cardio that you are doing or whether or not that cardio workout is being done in a fasted state or not. Given the fact that cardio doesn’t really burn that many calories at the end of the day and that a day full of bad eating can quickly eclipse what you burned in your training, it just isn’t a good idea to focus your efforts there.
This is the problem however, and it is repeated frequently almost every day. People will read a tip on fat loss and think that it is the best place to focus their attention as they try to lose weight and drop body fat. For instance, you have likely heard that carbohydrates such as sweet potatoes are better for you than white rice or other less complex carbohydrates. That said, if your body fat is in the over thirty percent range however, it isn’t likely that you are struggling to choose between these two options. Instead, you are likely eating french fries.
The same can be said for supplements for fat loss. People have been conditioned to think that supplements are the be all and end all, a savior for those wanting to eat better. The problem with this thinking is however that once the money runs out and you can no longer afford to purchase supplements every month then what habits have you learned to eat better? Likely none. Here again you are going to be setting yourself up for failure in the long run.
I always preach how workout consistency and consistency with your healthy eating is crucial for seeing long term results. The key to this statement however is that this operates on a sliding scale. Your ability to lose fat and drop down from the over 30 range to in the 20’s and teens is going to require that you only get it right 60 percent of the time. Instead of focusing on perfection (which is nearly impossible especially for those in bad shape to start), you need to focus on what can be achieved and be inspired by the changes that occur as you make those more consistently right decisions.
From here, you should start to get encouraged as you watch your body fat levels drop. Each new milestone becomes a new threshold for improvement and the changes that are required to get there. So, the advice that you were given to focus more on sweet potatoes over white rice may actually become good advice again since it will be delivered to you at the time that it actually matters. This and fasted cardio start to become relevant whereas they were not going to be able to make a difference at higher levels of body fat.
The key to losing weight and body fat is to follow a series of achievable goals. The ATHLEAN-X Training Systems take what others make complicated and deliver it to you in a step by step, easy to follow format. Never guess again on how to start losing body fat and get ripped, instead start doing what needs to be done to get there. Don’t set yourself up for failure by setting the wrong goals. Let me show you how to do it all at athleanx.com with any of the programs that are best suited to your goals.
For more videos on how to lose body fat and keep it off year round as well as how to get ripped, be sure to subscribe to our channel here on youtube at / jdcav24

No the message was for those who do not take supplements with a serious life style based around becoming a better version of themselves. If you dont watch what you eat but you take protein twice a day and skip all the other regular healthy life options it wont mean jack shit to your evolution. Keep paying attention to your Jody and reflect on what happens when you do certain things. Find your rhythm and make better choices and you'll find your entire mind and body become what you always dreamt of. Nothing worthwhile is easy :)

I am 35 years old and 5'8", and I went from 219 lbs to 145 lbs in about 7 months WITHOUT working out OR lifting weights. I stopped eating refined sugar (no soda, no candy), I drank only water, I cut out gluten (breads), and I ate healthy fats like coconut oil, avocados, and nuts. In addition, I stopped eating until I was stuffed. I prepared healthy portions and did not go for seconds on most of my meals. I allowed a cheat meal once or twice every 2 weeks where I'd eat whatever the fuck I wanted. It is truly that simple, and it becomes progressively easier as the weeks go by. Your body will start to hunger for healthy food and you will naturally want to eat healthy! At this point it's been 10 months, I hover around 142 lbs, I eat pescatarian except on cheat meals if I feel like it, and I'm very lean. My cheat meals are usually fish, chicken, salad, veggies & fruit at the buffet. That's actually what my body craves now--I don't even feel like eating sugar anymore because when I eat sugar I feel fucking terrible. Sugar makes you feel like shit when you eat it excessively. You don't realize it when you're overweight because you've forgotten what it feels like to be healthy. Being healthy feels fucking rad. Eat healthy and you will physically feel FUCKING RAD all of the time.

I also really like your channel because it talks about facts and the logical reasons why a 5 minute HIT workout won't burn much fat in a day but it will add up over the longer, and that it may not be most relevant at 30% body fat. And when you say guys I never think you just mean boys, definitely feels like you are talking to anyone, regardless of gender. excellent!

People fail to lose weight and get discouraged because they don't take time to learn the basics and keep it simple. Imagine if people did this for their first year : 3 Months : Walk 10hrs a week. Start making gradual nutrition changes. Next 6 Months : Keep up regular walking and add in basic bodyweight exercises 2-3x per week. Start tweaking and eventually fine tune macros/cals. Final 3 Months : Keep up regular walking and if bodyweight can be done with no assistance/modification, basic lifting plan 3x per week. Also finalized nutrition plan. If you kept it simple and used patience/consistency like this for the first year, you'd easily be able to transition into more intense training and specialized goals. But people just want to latch onto fitness trends and get instant gratification.

This is so true. I was 275lbs (all fat) not giving a rats ass what I consumed... Drinking a case of soda a day, fast food and garbage. I also had really bad knee and ankle injuries keeping me from doing too much physical activity... I began by cutting the soda, started losing some weight, started eating less fast food, lost more weight. I dropped to 230 without any exercise easy. It then started getting easier to make healthier choices like taking the stairs instead of elevators, or walking instead of taking the subway and weight training. I now have a pretty solid diet, 190 lbs and building some lean muscle. The journey has been great so far and it's only just begun.

My ankle is a whole different story.. That thing has 15 screws and a long plate up the side (unfortunate mosh pit incident) This really messes with my range of motion, it hurts far less after losing weight, but still aches daily and if I work it too hard it swells.

Whereas most supplement companies and KZread “experts” want try to sell to the 35-40 percent body fat, Jeff wants you to get yourself into the sub 20 percent range before even considering his products. This is the mark or someone who really cares about his clients and their results!!
