Why you don't need a bread machine for gluten free bread

In this video, I discuss whether or not you need a bread machine to make gluten-free bread. I break down the pros and cons of using a bread machine to help you decide whether it's right for you. Bread machines are a popular topic in the gluten-free community, and when I was first diagnosed with celiac disease I thought it was a must-have. Give the video a watch to hear my thoughts!
In my opinion, if you're going to invest in a new piece of equipment for your kitchen, you should get a stand mixer! Not only can you use it to make exceptional gluten-free bread, but it's multi-purpose. I use my stand mixer to make gluten-free cookies, cakes, pizza crust, cinnamon rolls-everything!

If I've convinced you to get a stand mixer instead (yay!), here are three great models. (The one in the background of my video is the professional series.)

It's been years, years, and more years of battling with this.... THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! This is incredibly helpful and I look forward to getting know more of your content!
Thank you. Some good suggestions. Unfortunately I have such severe arthritis in my hands that mixing and kneading are impossible for me. My gluten-free bread machine saves my hands. If the bread machine eventually dies on me I will try your suggestion of the stand mixer. Also, the paddles can be removed before the bake cycle on the machine so there are no holes in the bread.
that hilarious sense of humour got you a new subscriber. thanks for the info!
Wow thank you SO much for this video! Super helpful 👍🏼
Well, now I know that I need to invest in a stand up mixer. THANK YOU! Now I need high altitude recipes. 🙃
Thank you very much for this! My husband has Celiac disease as well and since I hate the idea of [and cannot afford] two sets of food then the worry of cross contamination, I plan to make GF Bread for him as well. I wondered if a Bread Machine was the way to go too, but mine is an old DAK Turbo 4 from 1992 which still works but I end up using Manual mode so I can bake it in the oven anyway, at least that's what I did when we did use Gluten recipes. Sometimes I have to mix the dry once by itself in the bread machine, THEN add the wet and restart the cycle! 🍞
Your videos deserve way more attention! Really great content. I wish I watched your Video before buying a bread machine😂.
Thank you! I rely heavily on my mixer! 🙏😇 wanted a bread maker to just be able To throw it in but now I don’t think so! I have had to remove a lot- Not only Gluten free but took out yeast egg dairy as well-so I am thinking the machine won’t work at all???
I was going to invest in a bread maker ans take the isea from your video on gluten free bread. Like 5-6 dollars for a small load of bread
Happy Birthday 🎂🎉. Makes perfect sense.

Love that idea! 😊 The only problem is that I have only really used Kitchenaid mixers. My mom always had one, and that's what I have. They are built to last and have an awesome warranty. Until I get a chance to review them, I highly recommend ANY Kitchenaid mixer. (The one I use is the Pro series, but any of them are great.)

Great idea! I have been mainly sticking to corn tortillas, but I'll have to try out an alternative. 😊
I’m looking for bread with extra extra gluten.
And then there are those husbands who like gadgets...smile!
