The guy just found a new passion in endurance racing and being a father. Both he and his wife have made a point of living as far away from Hollywood as possible. They dont even live in America. They live in Portugal since 2017. I'm sure if he wanted he'd get a lot of movie roles

Still don't get how this dude never got to play James Bond. He's ideal for the role, and probably one of the most talented actors that could portray the character.

He got married, had a kid and started racing. He has also started an acting school in his hometown.

Actually Mr. Fassbender has developed pretty impressive driving skills. Of course it's not easy for him being over 40 years old when he started race driving, but he took it seriously and had great support from his co-drivers. Just watch 'Road to LeMans', if you like racing this is a gold mine in terms of behind the scenes of GT-racing.

I’ve enjoyed Michael’s career since seeing him in Band of Brothers and the 300. He is a gifted and versatile actor. But in the past 3ish years he met and married the love of his life, had a kid and started racing as a bronze driver on one of Porsche’s teams. His work on The Road to LeMans is very enjoyable. When he wants to act again (and he has at least one project in post production now)he won’t lack for work

One of the best actor of his generation! I've never seen him being just good, he's always phenomenal! Many of the movies he plays in may not break box office, but he always chooses quality roles, his dedication is unquestionable. Could have been perfect Harry Hole or James Bond, hope to see him getting such roles if he decides to act again.

He could always come back in Triumph because he‘s proven enough of his talent in the past. Even if he would never come back as an actor he would always be remembered as a great one. 👑

He has two more movies coming up including The Killer (David Fincher) and Next Goal Wins (Taika Waititi). He is the lead in both and did them when he wasnt racing with Porsche.

I always dreaming that he would be great to be a Bond next. But wishing him all the best for racing and lovely life with family!

Michael Fassbender has been nomineed at golden globes and has achieved what most can’t I don’t see it a fail since he isn’t in Hollywood much anymore looks like his main focus is being a family man and putting his focus towards race car driving. He has a series on KZread so definitely seems like it’s Michael’s choice it’s either focusing on movies or driving and it seems like the main focus is towards the race car driving I say good on him.

Michael has been going after a life long dream of racing the 24hrs of Le Mans the last few years, which he achieved btw. He couldn’t act between March and November during racing season every year since 2019. This is the main reason for his low key acting career the last few years. The roles he’s taken have been exclusively filmed in December to March.

Getting out of Hollywood. Brilliant. just saved his sanity.

Well I think he lives the life he wants and that's great for him. Just a little sad for his fans. But he has at least two movies coming out next year.

To be fair; I thought everyone in Band of Brothers would have a never ending stellar career. He's done pretty well since.

He still marked his name in history. He overworked himself and didn’t get the return he wanted and deserved Hence needed this time out. He wants to be an “actor” and a superstar at the same time.. I guess now he has made a choice
