Fassbender is half the reason I watch the ELMS. It's such a great story and it's nice to live vicariously through someone living out my dream. I hope he's back next year.

whilst he's crashed/spun too much probably for his own liking over these last 4 seasons of ELMS (not all of them his own fault to be fair) , regardless of whether you like him as an actor, a driver or as a person you can't deny that off the track he's been good for this series, look at road to Le Mans for example much better in more ways than a certain Netflix programme that shall remain nameless wouldn't you say

Absolutely. Very well said. His involvement in ELMS has changed my life. I’ve jumped ship from F1 and have started taking commissions of ELMS (WEC) cars from people who were impressed with the painting I took to Michael at Le Castellet. Can’t wait for Portimao, I’m nearly all packed!

@@parajuanjo respectfully, mocking is not nice man, I was correcting you for your bs comment. That’s not what racing is. Getting a vehicle from a to b without dying is what day-to-day driving is. Motoracing is about consistency and rhythm. Crashing is an inherent part of it. Michael is a great racing driver. Not the best, but he puts the work in and is improving. That’s commendable if not admirable.

Always want to see Fassbender racing, I feel like I support him from afar in the same way I do my friends. Probably because he seems likeable, genuine and just wants to do his absolute best all the time. After watching RTLM at the beginning, it really got me back into motorsport after being bored by F1. Can't wait to see what we have coming up.

Having been to a race to meet him, he is absolute gentleman and everything you said is spot on. They say never meet your heroes but all of the Proton guys are lovely in person!

Well the Porsche Documentation "Endurance" and "Michael Fassbender's Road to le Mans" is basically the reason I started watching VLN, 24h Nürburgring, WEC, ELMS and general Endurance GT3 / GT4 Racing. I also started Sim Racing and bought during Corona a Hyundai i30n and started setting it up as a track tool. It is a fantastic sport and I hope I will be able to participate at some point in a real race. I really love the series and my favorite episode is still Homecoming 2 - the podium at Portimão. Also Felipe was a great team mate for Michael

What a genuine presence he has. It's been a pleasure getting to know him and his journey. Looking forward to more great racing from him and the team next year! Excited to see a win in 2024!! 🤘🔥

I'm a big fan of Michael. He's a great actor, a genuine human being, and a redoubtable driver. I can't fault him if he's not fully on par with the top full-time professional drivers. He's already at a high level and his dedication is both palpable and inspiring. Plus, he's balancing two very demanding careers simultaneously. Impressive.

absolutely hoping to see him back in 2024 and that he finishes. Anyone know if Porsche is still doing their series covering him? have enjoyed watching the last 3 seasons.

There is a full fourth season covering previous season available and if I am not mistaken, season 5 should start on 31st of October. Based on what Michael said, it will be the last one. Cheers

In a world where everyone is perfect and no one makes mistakes, especially on the internet. I'm very glad that actors like Fassbender try to follow the foot steps of people like Newman, McQueen, Garner, etc. Being a racing driver is everyone's first dream but we all have to go to work to make that dream happen and seldom do the two align. I don't care if he had moral conundrum that I'm ill informed of. I like him.

I've enjoyed Michael as an actor, Inglorious Bastards stands out for me, and Band of Brothers. Hes made the journey of a racing driver the same as many. He definitely had huge advantages that other don't. But that can be said of others too. No driver/racer is ever satisfied. If they are? their career is dead. He's genuine and honest. Kind of a modern Steve McQueen. Best of luck to him in the future of racing.

It's been amazing watching him grow but there comes a time were consistency becomes very paramount before the opportunities run out or people start walking away.

Get this man talking to Jimmy Broadbent. It would be a brilliant and passionate conversation about motorsports and racing.

Newman, McQueen, James Dean...Fassbender! He is in good company.......wonder if there is a correlation between between good acting (visualization) and race driving...interesting concept

I’ve enjoyed watching the progression of his driving. Better driver than most of us.

I think he would do well in gt3 if he returns, slower car and more driver aids.

who knows, from a racing perspective we don't know who Manthey have done deals with or who they are talking too in regards for racing in WEC next season, if he stays with a team racing a Porsche which Proton won't be (they're switching to Ford and the new Mustang) then it would be the 992 that he races

Since Proton Competition is switching to the Mustang GT3, does this mean that when he returns will he stay with Porsche and move to a different team or Stay with Proton and drive the Mustang?

Above average in an underaverage category, yes. You have to think about a normal guy in his postition... would have been kicked out after a year... But this is a common feature of motorsport these days.. money and fame beets talent... the sport is expensive... @@hoya1178
