The game of Basketball has been my passion since I was 5 years old. I grew up as a kid watching my dad's recorded VHS tapes of playoff games through the 70s and 80s, and collected all the Basketball cards. Something about the game and what it represents just hooked me from a very young age.
My love for the game only continues to grow as time goes on. I love studying and analyzing the game, with an unbiased perspective. Feel free to subscribe, follow me on social media, and celebrate this amazing game and it's rich history with me!
I post videos every week on NBA history, predictions, hypothetical scenarios and current NBA topics.

His stats would be better for sure. He would be equally dominating tho. His 29ppg in 2000s would be 35ppg today in my opinion

Well there’s not a guy in the league that could slow him down in the paint, maybe embid, but he’s too soft. Hey would put up 30 a night with 15 boards

@@TheDwight12 maybe, but still he wouldn't be as good as Embiid this year or Jokic. Embiid is averaging also 35 points per game, but while Shaw would average those numbers with only dunking on everybody, Embiid does it while shooting most of the time from mid-range and taking threes too. On the other hand, as great as Shaw would be, he wouldn't pass nearly as good as Jokic and he would be nearly as efficient as him. I'm only talking about regular season this year, obviously Dhaq would eat Embiid for dinner in play offs.

this performance is what Phil Jackson meant by Shaq was capable of winning 10 straight MVPs and being the best player ever. it’s interesting how we look back on the Diesel’s career and we can say ….he underachieved. yet 4 titles, an MVP, and 3 FMvPs is by no means an easy feat. it’s just that he could’ve done even more.

    >>How many centers have a better resume? That's a good question. The answer is "very few." That said, I think the issue being made here is a comparison between Shaq and his own capabilities/potential, not Shaq vs any other center. I'm not one of those people who think that everyone should have been as "focused" or intense as MJ and Kobe, but it is not hard to see that Shaq's current level of success makes it easy to overlook the fact that two people that were close to him in his playing days (Kobe and Phil) both indicated that he could have been even greater -- a lot greater -- without being MJ/Kobe-maniacal about it.

I read the 3 Ring Circus book and there is another side to the story told it it. Shaq was trying to get free tickets for his family to watch him play on his birthday but the box office said no. Shaq was mad, of course, because it was his building and he was the best player in the league and he was being told no by a inferior team now sharing a building with the true L.A NBA team! He told Fisher to get him the ball as much as possible and it was a wrap.

There's a bunch of Bird stories. The Xavier McDaniel one, when he tell him where he's going to score the game winner, the 60 points where the Hawks were high-fiving on his baskets, the 3 point contest and "who's coming second" are only the first that come to mind.
