Why should anyone trade Forex? Corvin Codirla, ex-hedge fund manager and trader comments. I first started to trade in forex by chance and then by choice. PLEASE SUPPORT US. LIKE THIS VIDEO IF YOU FOUND IT USEFUL. The fascinating thing about forex is that its a very simple thing (it is just numbers) and there are only a limited number of assets you can trade. When it comes to trading systems, forex is ideal - forex also allows for very good levels and flexible levels of leverage.
Currencies are one of the purest instruments to express global macro views. Could you explain what you mean by this? You have been quoted saying that in Forex you have factors that provide returns and these are Yield, Value, Momentum and Mean-Reversion - could you tell us a bit more on each?

I'm glad Forex is so simple as it helps to explain why 95% of traders loose money, some so called experts have to be taken with a pinch of salt!

I get why currencies and fixed income are macro or big picture, but why no mention of international stock market indices like the S&P500? Isn't that also a macro indicator of the health of the US economy?

Why would any one trade futures forex or stocks knowing how efficient these markets are. The whole retail trading industry is to take retails money either through selling your order flow and through commissions

Id like to trade FX, but since theres no way to read volume, i feel like a fundamental movement indicator is lacking. Is this a common feeling, and what do FX traders use to replace such a profoundly influential indicator for day/ short term trading? Without volume, it feels like gambling to me.

I don't understand how they come up with the value of the currency. They didn't have a fast internet connection back then, yet the currency had a value at every time segment. They make it sound like there are thousands of bits of information that goes into the calculation, and just don't believe that is possible. I'm really starting to believe that it is just a random number within a confined range. They have to get the number from somewhere and some machine or person has to enter the number. It would help a lot to know all the factors, but like I said, I think it is random.

Is the "mean reversion" theory valid? The mean chases price; not the other way around. No?
