Why We Still Haven't Cloned Humans - It's Not Just Ethics

Ғылым және технология

We've technically been able to clone human beings for almost a decade. So, why haven't we? The answer has way more to do with science than morality. Not only is cloning inefficient and dangerous, there's just not a good enough reason to make a human this way. But making entire copies of people isn't the only way we can potentially use cloning to benefit humans.

A big thing that always gets me in discussions about cloning is how no one ever addresses the legitimate probability of the clone not looking anything like the person they’re a replica of based on the probability of expressed characteristics. Let’s say you have a pretty even 50/50 split on all the possible characteristics you could’ve had express in yourself - you still have all the genetic coding from what didn’t come to be in you structurally and looks wise, it’s just sitting in your cells unused at the moment until half of all of that is inherited by your kids. So it would in this hypothetical be a literal coin flip as to whether or not you’d get a visual carbon copy or a completely different looking person who is only identical in terms of what set of instructions you both possess in your cells and what characteristics took the driver’s seat

You need to transfer your memory and mindset into your clone if you want them to have the same goal like ruling the world. Either by biologicaly using genes inserted to his brain or machinery like neuro link where a chip will give them your memory and could even control them. After wars there's definitely going to be a clone soldiers that is much better than human.

the information about cloning is around twenty years out of date, the technology has improved greatly since Dolly the sheep, we can even buy a clone of our pet, the reason we don't clone humans is not a technical problem; There are many reasons to clone animals (eg the meat industry) but there aren't many practical reasons to clone a human, and the few we have are rarely ethical (eg infinite human test subjects). There isn't a problem that cloning whole humans could solve that couldn't be done better doing something else (eg growing organs) Assuming you managed to clone a human, there is a psychological problem; People don't like being compared and expected to act like others, imagine how much worse this would be for a clone of a person. Imagine if we cloned Einstein and expected his clone to live up to his brilliance; he would probably go mad being held to such an expectation Assuming you can legally clone a human there is also a legal problem; ie, if multiple of the same person can exist, then who is entitled to their stuff? if multiple people can claim, and legally argue to be the same person then there is also the problem of identity theft TL;DR we have no reason to clone a human and every reason not to

Okay does nobody play Metal Gear, or watch "A Certain Scientific Railgun?" They're are possibilities to be made, which widens the idea of having a network of well rounded or legendary people used for Cloning. Maybe the clones could have a psychological connection of sharing the same knowledge/memory. What if you want to replicate the greatest minds and hero's of this world? They can be raised to be even better then them. Sure they won't be a perfect copy, but hasn't there been research showing that babies can be grown from incubators, though I don't have much knowledge how this works. But this could be possible of not having to rely on surrogacy.
