Why we drove 500 miles for THIS VAN! - It’s exciting! (Van Life UK)
After our winter vanlife adventure in the mountains was abruptly cut short we have been back in the UK for a little while. And although we haven't filmed much that doesn't mean we haven't been busy, we have just got back from taking a 500 mile round trip to buy a whole new van (new to us and the channel, not brand spanking new.) In this weeks episode we give you a quick look at this new micro camper with a mini van tour (we will save the proper tour for after the van upgrades) as well as explain why we have bought a new van!
Stay tuned to see what we do to it, the full 12 volt electrical upgrade to take it off grid, for some wild camping, and maybe a bit of stealth car camping too! We are excited to see what we can do with it and for who will be joining us on the journey!

Young lady I'm excited for you. Taking your mom with you just shows the type of person the BOTH of you are. I've lost both of my parents so you have to love them as much and as often as you can.

So incredibly blown away, your dad passes, and taking care of your mom so she's keeping adventures in her life.
In my quest for van knowledge, I also follow "Life is too short" and their adventures in their little Nissan NV200, and I'm impressed how useful the little van is. Best of luck to your mum / mother-in-law with her van life too.

What a neat little camper! Didn't look like much outside but it's really roomy and well designed inside for solo. Look forward to excursions with your mother, and maybe a spin-off channel Stealth Mum. 😀

When you said it was for Lou's mum I just knew that would mean the trio would be together again and then be going on trips together which is awesome. So looking forward to seeing the videos to come. As someone who loved the early days of your KZread channel and watching "fanny the van" come to life, the relationship between Lou's mum and Emily was so lovely and Lou's mum is hilarious too. After your families recent sad news I think this is the perfect next stage and opens up such a different dynamic. Highly looking forward to both the revamp and modifications to currently "un-named Van" ( I'm sure that will get named at some point) and the tweaks and no doubt carrying out of Emily's wish list for 'fanny the van'. Big hugs ❤

I have an nv200 as my work van. He has been very reliable and the fuel consumption is very economic. Your Mum/in law’s looks great. Excellent choice you will not regret this ❤

here we go - "its cold up north", another 2hrs + 100 miles to see me in sunderland ! excellent purchase lou, very good, reliable vans, if you service them they are indestructible. couple of things to do: new cambelt [its 10 years old now], new alternator belt, new fuel filter [it hides underneath under a panel next to the fuel tank], drown the wiring harness on the ecu with WD40 [known corrosion point, but not that common], + finally check that the tyres are the correct ones, not cheap car tyres. air filter change - 1 min, oil filter, little bit tricky [need small hands] damned good choice my bitches, stay safe, play nice

I have a similar van, there’s 2 of us and our small dog daughter, it’s perfect for us! Plenty of storage and great for narrow lane driving, easy to park anywhere. Your mum will love it! x

As someone who has been struggling with finding the path to life again, you're bringing exactly the great questions and maybe answers as well. Excellent. For me as a Solo, I love the NV, but too tight in the night to have porta potty out. So a single pullout side bed for me also giving rear access and tiny corridor to pull out the potty plus floor space for my little dog. There are single rock n roll beds btw, but all changes like that are pricey to modify, not something I'm skilled at. That's sadly why I knocked the NV.off. Micro van/cars are great for millions of us. Picnics little sleepovers and perhaps an annual adventure. I couldn't deal with a big van like yours, but then I'm an old lady 70 yrs loving freedom and trips and experiences and long may that last for you guys too hope your mum has a great time.
