I don't know, Sidious believed his weakened power was actually due to a mental block and i'm pretty sure he was briefly proven right in Legends.

Some of it was due to his mental state,but he did also lose some potential. Both reasons are correct,they dont negate each other If not for his mental state he would have surpassed Sidious but still not be at strong as full potential Anakin

Both are true. Alot of it was mental. He couldn't get rid of his former self completely. Losing all his limbs didn't help him any either.

You missed another successful clone as Luke himself had several clones of himself produced by Joruus, and Thrawn, and if both Starkiller's and Joruus' clones count Luke's should as well.

If I were Vader, I would have found another Force sensitive, cut off their limbs, then cloned replacements and watched what happened. Then he could see how he should proceed based off the results.

The first successful force sensitive clone was one made by Eldon Ax’s blood. When her mom created the clone she used chemicals to suppress her sensitivity to the force instead of weeding it out. I think part of the process to actually make a force sensitive clone is using something the blocks out the force during the process. I have a theory that if a force clone was ever made of Nathema then the process wouldn’t be disturbed by the force.

There was a Force Sensitive Clone in LEGO

My question is, assuming that they survived, why weren't Vader's limbs not recovered and reattached...? For that matter, why wasn't Padawan Skywalker's arm reattached after that fight with Darth Tyranus?! It was laying right there in plain sight for goodness sake!

Also i would count the clone trooper Glitch which was more of a im not sure what to call it since he is a clone of a none force sensitive but somehow was connected to the force unlike his brothers

You know it might uave worked since unlike cloning a full functional individual he only would have needed a clone that had enough force sensitivity and functional limbs(that wouldn't decay like Sidious's in canon), mental stability wasn't needed or anything

Would you be willing to make a reading guide for legends, continuity, and canon because I do not know where to start if I want to get into Star Wars comics

This is strange as I believe this is where the bad batch season 3 is taking Omega's character. The Kaminoan scientist keeps destroying her blood samples. So it makes it look like she is a successful force sensitive clone and it's literally being hidden in plain sight

He should have done it,even if his own midis didn't spread out to the new limbs, (though they might) he'd be much more mobile, probably almost as much as he was before ending up as a pizza. Also, lung and eye transplants DO exist, so he could not have the breathing or eyesight problems if he so chose. I think it would have been worth the risk

For that matter, why didn't Luke use a cloned hand instead of a mechanical one?

I have to wonder if it was ever considered trying to destroy the midichlorians in a Force user. It could be a tactic used to bring down Jedi/Sith in a bio warfare way. Sort of like an antibiotic killing off bacteria.

Regarding Galen, there are several hints that Vader simply fooled him again into believing he was someone he was not. The dead body showed to the "perfect" version of Galen, the real sith Starkiller that was came to see what was supposed to see Galen Marek's corpse, was dressed in tattered clothes that suggested that he was exposed to combat previously to his death, though they were not the jedi battle robes provided to Galen just before his fight against Vader and Sidious. There's also the firm belief of master Rahm Kota that Starkiller from TFU 2 was indeed Galen Marek (the dude was a force sensitive and a fucking jedi battlemaster and general. He even felt his and Galen's future as master and apprentice, respectively, while Galen was still one of Vader's puppet. Honestly, I believe he clearly felt Galen in the supposed clone we play as in the second game, thus his conviction). Don't know about you guys, but I believe Kota knew his shit

It didnt work with full on clones, Vader would only be cloning legs and arms and from his own cells not from some random limbs from a random person, so i would think it would work in his case

If Darth Vader cloned, and grafted limbs back on; Luke Skywalker would’ve cut his hand off anyway. Not only that but after that he might have turned to the dark side after not seeing wires in the sleeve (he wouldn’t have seen his hand removal as an act of mercy and have remorse after).

Just a random thought? Anakin was very good with machines he would realize to break down the body like a machine, clone just the body not force sensitive and then imbue his dark energy into that limb after the surgery

in the case of cloning Anakin, why not Sidious simply clone the body and use Essence Transfer to the body? Also, the complexity of the Force was only through creation of total Force Sensitive individuals. All Vader has to do is clone body parts

Better yet, why can't he clone himself. I think it's better to use the mind transfer.

Can you do video about people that successfully managed to give non-force users the powers of the force. Like the reborn and shadow troopers from Jedi outcast and Jedi academy.

Im pretty sure people dont lose power from lack of limbs. Its not total medichlorians its medichlorians per cell. Yoda had the highest count in the jedi order per cell before anakin came along but yoda would not have had the most in total amount because of how small he is. This was explained in the phantom menace that its how many you have per each cell rather than how many total. The only thing that does affect them is their potential connection due to cybernetics but not their potential. Vader was explained to have been held back by his mental state and a mental block, not his loss of limbs.

Why clone. Just transplant limbs from another Jedi

Did vlVadar ever look into some of the dark and/light side nexuses or Anomalies? What if he had, is it possible for him to have used the heightened connection to heal him self?

Don't worry he's still had more body mass therfore cells then yoda and more MidiChlorinents per cell. And as yoda had enough juice to match Sidious then Vader had more than enough.

There was one other thing that he never tried returning to the Light Side and using the Light Side to heal himself! I personally believe he could have healed the damage to his body with the Light Side of the Force as the Dark Side is corruptive & rejects him as soon as he feels any positive emotion upon succeeding in healing said damage! Those Force visions from the comics showing how he could return to the Light & make peace with the Obi-Wan show that Anakin had other options than remain as The Emperor's lackey & basically a slave to the Dark Side which had brought him nothing but pain & suffering (it failed to save the love of his life, destroyed the Republic that he once served, & made him the enemy of the Jedi)! I really wish there was an official what-if series that would dive into a scenario where Anakin recognizes his turn to the Dark Side is what took his wife & destroyed his body as Obi-Wan tried to warn Anakin he was prepared to cut him down with his It's Over Anakin! I Have The High Ground! line as to me it was a line in the sand so to speak, Vader cross it and Obi-Wan followed through! Its an interesting idea as it could allow Anakin to discover his children survived & potentially be a father to them!

Curious enough, you left out Set Harth and Luke Skywalker.

Palpatine knows what he’s doing regarding his cloned bodies since he has access to ancient Sith texts and knowledge. Moff Gideon is just a wannabe in wanting to harness the force. Gideon should’ve done research to know that the force will reject him and his failed clones

What about Luke's clone in dark empire?

Anakin was NOT force sensitive , he WAS the force. The force created him . Even in the extremely warped Disney cannon Anakin did not die on the death star , he transcended into a higher form . The rules of force sensitives do not apply to him as they do everyone else . Who knows , he might have even been able to completely heal himself if he tried hard enough.

@@austinbevis4266 Basically, even The Ones (like The Son) taking Anakin's body, amped him to such a degree that the whole jedi order + palpatine vs him stood no chance. This is because to be The Chosen One has no limits, because that's like saying The Force has limits. People keep trying to count his Midichlorians, but as George Lucas puts it, he could of had 30,000, or even 40,000, this is pointless because he is the embodiment of The Force. You can think of The Force like a bright light, and the Midichlorians like moths. The moths like to group up in mass to where the light is brightest, and to force sensitives, the moths can guide them and direct them. However, with Anakin, it felt more like the moths (Midichlorians) just bunched up to him naturally instead to what a max cell count could do, if they could house more, they would. This is why in Mortis, Anakin could pull off feats that went beyond what he should do with that science. If another being with 40,000 midichlorians came to Mortis, they could not have subdued The Son and The Daughter in the same manner as him.

It's not the amount of midichlorians, it's how you use them :P Jokes aside, midichlorian number thing is an elusive subject isn't it? Does a body builder sith/jedi may have more midichlorians by increasing his/her muscle mass? Couldn't Vader make up for his missing limb midichlorians by increasing his muscle mass since midichlorians live in host's cell structure?

All Vader had to do was take his limbs to the Valley Of The Jedi. Blamo they now got the force.

Honestly in my belief, I believed Vader could of regrew his limbs and healed himself, despite his midi-chlorian count severed in half. Lets say if it was possible, if it was so, Vader would have been way to overwhelming towards everyone and everything. Even Luke and Sidious wouldn't have been enough to handle Anakin Skywalker.

So how many mediclorians are in his robotic limbs then?... if we're going to involve mediclorians in the reason why it's not a good idea then if cloning technology is possible then the removal of the mediclorians from cells is also possible and if vaders robotic limbs don't have mediclorians and is fine with the force then he doesn't need limbs with mediclorians or if theyre able to reattach cloned limbs then they could attach non anikin limbs from force sensitive non clone doners!

I have always hated with a passion the idea that Vader's diminished potential was due to a loss of flesh. This goes against what was a central tenet of the original trilogy. Size matters not. If Yoda could be as powerful as he was despite not being the biggest fore wielder, than connection with the force should have had nothing to physicality. I think a better argument for Vader's lost power would have been because of severe mental trauma that kept him from fully embracing either the dark side or light side of the force, and the fact that much of his force power was diverted to keeping his damaged body alive at all times.

So how the hell did Starkiller get cloned?

In real life there are studies to use DNA from Salamanders to copy their regenerative abilities in humans. What Vader should had done is not cloning, but used Kaminian genetic tech to implant himself with regenerative abilities from another species, and then just let his body naturally regenerate itself. With Kaminoan tech and bacta it should certainly be possible. Another path would be Midichlorian Manipulation, the power Palpatine actually promised Anakin. Plagueis stopped aging and was reversing his aging, his respiratory irreversible damage was beginning to heal. But Palpatine never shared what little he knew about this with Vader and Palpatine himself never understood that ability like Plagueis did. In canon the most straightforward way would be to stop and think for 5 seconds and summon his ROTS body from Momin's portal just like Momin summoned his own body from there, then transfer himself to that body, again like Momin. He wouldnt even need to learn Essence Transfer, going into the portal automatically separated him from his body, just summon his uninjured body, step into the portal and hop into that body. But about limbs, I feel that there is huge difference from cloning willess limbs and clone an entite force sensitive. Cloning limbs and organs for himself, should be much easier and I feel the will of the Force would be ok with that, because the Chosen One should not be maimed. I think cloning for the sake of healing as opposed to cloning an entire being is unexplored and could be successful.

the Bad Batch also seams to be going down this rout, with Palpatine stating that "project necromancy" is above any other Imperial priorities. this seams to be filling in a piece to later justify the plot within the Disney films as it's trying to clone force sensitives with no power loss. the focus in the current season of the Bad Batch being that Omega is a success to some degree towards this project. how this doesn't ret con Vader's connection to the idea is simple, it was something Palpatine would keep to himself. man, Force Unleashed 2 was a massive downgrade in every way. the psp Battlefront games had fun ideas but never lived up to the first 2 games, though they were closer.

See, I deem this explanation of loss of potential as rubbish. Vader lost a limb as Anakin, yet he was still ascending to the peak of his power, and the Ones never considered him any less. Malgus and Sion were never diminished in the Force, nor was Plagueis. Hell, look at Maul, who was only growing more and more powerful despite losing half his body. The issue is Vader's focus, and obsession with the past. When he focuses on the present, as when he found out about Luke, he reaches the height of his powers around and after Episode V. And even then, he's got more potential, with the example of Malgus where Malgus gave himself entirely to the Dark Side being repeatedly used by Sidious in Legends to try and push Vader to the height of his potential.

Imagine how much better all of the Star Wars shows could be if they had just left Palpatine dead and Anakin/Luke as the chosen ones. We could potentially have so many good stories instead of them desperately trying to fix the 💩 that is “somehow Palpatine returned”.

The eerie thing is, I was just wondering about this question yesterday. I didn't tell anyone what was on my mind, and yet here is my question answered. Meanwhile, why no mention of Omega here? It would appear that she, a clone of Jango Fett (and therefor technically the sister of Boba and every one in the GAR) who herself may be mildly Force sensitive when her 'father' was not, and is also apparently the key to M Count Transfer in clones.

Wasn't Omega a clone, and Force-Sensitive? I didn't watch Bad Batch, but I thought she was both. So, I want to be an idiot. Someone might easy say "go watch the video", but why was Vader so scared of adapting his suit? Nothing said it all had to be done in one swap. A part here, and another part there, could have been swapped. Sure, it's pressurized, but we see him gwt entirely out if it now, and bathe in bacta. We see the Emperor crush his limbs, and leave him on that burning brach, again. We see Kenobi hewn a whole chunk if his helmet, and he's fine. He gets wrecked somewhat regularly in the comics, even if it takes huge beasts, or hordes of enemies, and he lives just fine. This always feels more like "this is the Vader we presented, and as changes have been made, we've written ourselves into corners, so here's this excuse!" Ecen dying, he lived for a fair bit, so it seems like they could have submerged him in bacta, segmented the replacement parts, dried him off, and better armor Vader, but that's not what the movies we can't change depicted, so don't ask questions! 😊

Vader was being an emo sissy la la as usual. He should have perfected cloning force sensitive limbs, then done so...killed Palpatine so he could take his time perfecting a full body cloning and then skewered himself with his own saber once he had and done an essence transfer. Of course we would have had a completely different movie so I think I'll be happy with gift in Star Wars Lucas gave us.
