Toby and his band performed many many concerts in the combat zone in Iraq and Afghanistan. Seen him in Balad, Iraq he put his life on the line for our troops. A real hero who will be greatly missed. God bless you Toby Keith.

@@TwiztidPain I love Toby but as a 2 time PH recipient, a Purple Heart is _totally inappropriate_ . Toby was never actually _in_ the military and was never _wounded in the line of duty_ . That medal is reserved for those of us who have.

Toby was a True Blue American who loved and was proud of his country. He also loved and faithfully supported our military. I spent 24 years in the US Army Infantry and never once ran into anyone who did not love him, even if they were not country music fans. He was a faithful man who loved God his family above all others. May he forever rest in peace. He will live on through his music.
