I was on his side until he said loans dont have to be paid back. Hes the guy that borrowed money, im sure he didn't say - hey you, give me some money, im a gambler. Dude has no integrity. Paying back a loan is honorable.

Saw Eli at ResortsWorld about 5 months ago, was playing cash of course in a separate room. Not sure what the game was and didn’t wanna be annoying and bug him. Oddly enough the only person at the table that knew him was the dealer. Nobody else had any idea who he was. Not a bad thing tho, shows that there will always be a never ending stream of new players in the game!

I have no idea about the financial arrangements these guys make. But what's interesting is the rather high % of these poker player stories that nclude allegations of reneging on gambling/staking debts. Which leads me to question what % of allegedly successful players are, in fact, successful (at poker specifically). I'm starting to think the marketing and side hustles are more the point than making money at the actual game. And based on all these outstanding loans, it's not enough for most players, even good ones.

Hmmm. Connected to Israeli Defense. Suddenly gets a big business and he uses the money to become a professional gambler. He then finds himself inside the biggest poker games, and part of the online boom. Then, suddenly the FBI shuts it all down and knows about inside cheating. Hmmm.

He never has done me wrong, always a class act…but that’s my experience

I dont believe in anyones background unless its VERY well documented ... much less a poker players. He longed to be a soldier huh? Yeah..I was bummed when Volvo took me out of their crash test dummy program ~I loved it so.

Well, that's how I always perceived him as an enigmatic somewhat slimy side character (probably the only one with his own book). So are his posts now, unclear and seeminly dodging a straight answer, wiggling out. My questions are: 1/ does he owe money now, is he broke? 2/ is his book any good?

LOL Eli was never a professional poker player. He was the fish in the game. Funny how you think 100% of the players playing high stakes are pros. You know that makes no logical sense right?
