I don't always comment but had to now. Loved the editing on this one, especially the gameplay clips when showing off some of the in store games. Probably takes more time to do that but it's much appreciated. Also the decluttering/unpacking/de-stickering(?) segment was really fun and cosy to watch. Would love seeing more of that. 10/10, can't wait for the next upload

All killer and no filler is my motto. No point having fodder like fifa 98, eyetoy play, buzz etc.. you're never going to play them and they take up valuable room, which could be used for proper games like that Castlevania 😉, which by the way didn't even have the correct box either.

6:48 If I had a controller to hand I'd be pressing X (to doubt). 😀 As someone else commented, a complete custom shelving solution looks to be needed in there. It'll be fun to see how you deal with it all. It would be nice if we could all have one of those huge American basement setups.

I love your added collections every time I watch your videos. My best retro pickup this year would be "Mercenary Force" on GameBoy for around 9 GBP/11 euro. A quirky japanese side shooter (with some very japanese bosses in it), but a ton of fun if you are into side shooters. This game is very nostalgic to me, because I had it when was a kid. Now it is a very rare game to find CIB with a decent price. Found only the cartridge though, but that's good enough for me so I can replay it again. :)

I recently found the tekken 2 double case and had to have it but didn't realise it was meant to have a demo disc with it. Any idea which demo disc was meant to come with it? x

I’m not sure what demo came with it. It’s a shame because on the double case Crash Bandicoot, there was a sticker that told you what games were on the demo. A missed opportunity with the T2 extra for sure

Great vid Gem, especially with Molly hanging around in the background too. She just didn't want to leave. Random spot, I had forgotten about Street Fighter 5 Arcade edition. I think there have been 3 releases, the original, Arcade Edition and Champion Edition which included all the DLC.

Nice relaxing video again.I like to organise my Game and Movie collection aswell.Seems your cute "puppy" is also curious about your collection.😄Most of the time new titles are coming into these catalogues, some of them are leaving.I'm thinking to let my GC collection go but it's difficult to say goodbye to some nice hidden gems in it( Def Jam Fight For NY / still factory sealed,NFS collection,Spartan,...).Biggest mistake in my life :selling my Sega MD to buy a PS1.( those were the days we were young and had to save money to buy new stuff).Still miss my SOR2, Valis 3 and Thunderforce IV gems in that collection.Grts from Belgium.😎

Truth, I had street fighter turbo with the steel box that I bought in 98, saw it yesterday for sale for £70 at the retro trade in London.

Speaking of N64 games, I was wondering if you have the New Tetris for that console? If not, would you ever buy one if you can find it? It was released in 1999 by the Blue Planet Software.

Zombie Zone is a fun little game! They released a remaster on PS4 under the original JP title, Onechanbara Origins. The combat is much better on the newer games but they're all surprisingly fun :)

I always take all stickers off, and clean them with alcohol and get them looking nice before putting anything on my shelf.

Love a good cleaning sesh

I'm a fan of Super Mario Ball, developed in the UK by Fuse - who would go on to create Metroid Prime Pinball on the DS. I was in my local CEX yesterday and didn't pick anything up. There were a few retro bits, but there is no longer a dedicated GameCube section; it still has PS2 and original Xbox.

That is so weird. Ratchet: Gladiator is called Ratchet: Deadlocked over here. You guys definitely got the better name.

I've had Zombie Zone on PS2 for a while but still not got round to playing it yet, then found out this week that PS4 Oneechanbara Origins is a remastered version of Zombie Zone and the sequel that was only released in Japan. I bought the deluxe edition on PSN yesterday as it had 60% off for £19.99, was looking at a physical copy, it's Korean with English but didn't want to pay £150 Ebay prices.

This might be a bit drastic but it's something to consider... If you want to make more space for your games then ditch your shelf cabinets and have custom length shelfs screwed to the wall instead. You'd be able to have shelfs to go across the entire length of the wall and you would also be able to control the width between shelfs too. Like I said, you'll probably won't consider it as it would involve some work but you'd be able to store a lot more of your games this way. Good vid anyway 🙂

Then you would screw them to the wall using an electric drill. Make sure to use a level otherwise your shelfs will end up wonky LOL It's really easy IMO. If you need additional help then just look up "how to hang a shelf" here on KZread and you'll find tons of video guides on it. However, If DIY's not your forte then get a friend who's experienced in DIY round to help you or pay someone to do it for you. Either way, when you do this it'll give you tons more room to store your games in that room. If you'd live in Leeds I would of done it for you for a price of a cuppa tea LOL. Good luck with it anyway 🙂

Not had a decent cheap pick up this year. But last year I got Mortal kombat Shalini monks, deception, Armageddon and deadly alliance from a charity shop for £2 each

I haven't bought any games in this year, my story is I bought many games about 2-5 years ago and now I play everything I bought long time ago, for PSP: Silent Hill: Shattered Memories and Gran Turismo. For PS1: Final Fantasy 8 and Silent Hill. For GBA: Wolfenstein 3D (As soon as I get working GBA console, old got broken).

Time for a spell of gardening

I think I would have caved on Castlevania and then sourced a manual separately. I've still got my mint Collectors Ed of Symphony Of The Night here on the shelf Gem. I think I would have let it go last year if you hadn't have said hold on to it.

I hate cataloguing things, but it`s super easy since the AI can help. Make a good picture of boxes, let the ai read it off the photo and put into a table. Might as well make him add some details like year of production of production, platform or something. I copypaste all that into excel and just check it anytime I need to find out if I have any particular game.

So far ECCo JR for Megadrive. Now I've finish the pal Megadrive set slowly adding the Aus exclusives

Yesterday at the London retro market I got Indycar feat Nigel mansell Acclaim for £25 only the cart for the SNES and mario all stars cart for £10, not one vendor had the lost vikings. Doorway to Dorkness to their credit said I could order it off their shop online. Lovely people.

Devil May Cry 3 is superb! Also great condition and ONLY £5.

Question Gemma where do you see yourself in 20 years as a game collector. Do you still love gaming?

When it comes to best Retro game pickups of 2024, that would have to be Breath of Fire IV CiB for me. Got it for around half the prize it usually goes for which makes me happy. This might change however, as I am heading to Retromania April 27th. Retromania is a market for Retro games, toys, comics etc.. that is held one to two times a year, so I am looking forward to that.

I have that Tekken 2 double disk, it’s an absolute beauty. I started off gaming with the SNES but there’s something strongly, strongly nostalgic about Tekken 2, it might be because it was on that famous demo disc, but dam, it hits hard in the nostalgia feels. P.S love the Chun Li theme playing whilst opening it up 🙌

I always buy the best version of games so I wouldn't buy any Sony ps2 game that had a ps3 HD remake. Especially pal versions. Ps3 versions are HD, 60hz and display and play better on your hdmi tv. And a blu doesn't scratch like a dvd. Save space by buying from a wanted list, not what is in a deal.

Good game and good game music but you'd find a better copy sooner or later possibly cheaper. CEX ain't bad with most pricing. Ever watched OG Duffy KZread channel? He's getting a good subscriber and view count. Friend of mine, I've even been in one of his videos (trip to Herne bay on my birthday last year) you probably see me from time to time on other videos of his in the near future.

But she awesome cause all the games she has 😂❤
