@@noshnipeee7794 the war is horrible. But, I'm glad that overall it doesn't make a lot of influence on my life here, in my city. The question is, who provoked it. And this comes down to an interesting question, what would other governments do if they were Russia. Just let USA take Russian military base in Crimea (Sevastopol) in 2014? (pro-western coup and regime change in Ukraine). Or just let Ukraine join NATO (huge anti-soviet, anti-russian military block) giving away the complete control over the Black sea to USA? I think what happens now is a big geopolitical game, and every country would make decisions in their own interests first. And sadly, nobody considers human losses in these games.

I am supporting Ukraine in this conflict, but want them to win without having to inflate global economies and lining defense sector pockets. Ukraine garnered tens of billions in outside funding, making their defense sector spending awfully close to Russia, with most of that funding being placed into equipment generations ahead of the fielded equipment by Russia (see Bradley vehicle from the 80s killing modern Russian tank).

A better way of checking what infratructure has been damaged and the ukrainian army procurements is to make an account for UK government "defense" contracts. It's how I found out about the power stations being damaged before the news did and how I know when offensives/defensives will be happening. Obviously this counts as spying/subterfuge/high treason if you share it (which is a life sentence here if you're lucky) so if you don't live in England don't bother unless you want a visit lol. I'll be amazed if this isn't shadowbanned. Check yours out too Tommy you should be able to check Germany's procurements and available/taken contracts. Not many people know of this, but man I can't stress it enough: you REALLY don't want to be sharing the stuff you've learned when you take a look as it is perhaps the most illegal thing you can do and is high treason. Looking is okay, but *DO NOT* share it. There is a reason the public is not aware of this.

Before the war Ukraine had the second worst fertility rate in Europe ( 1,29 ) and due to emigration was losing 200-400k population yearly. both sides can see any manoeuvres coming a mile off thanks to modern satellite technology. Also the way the Russians have chosen to carry on the fight now they can sustain for a long long time. They can use China to get around most western sanctions since they have the main commodities that China desperately needs; Russia is a major producer of foodstuffs and oil and they are currently sending all of their oil mostly to China and India, same with food. We in the West still act like its the mid nineties but so much has changed, we shot ourselves in the foot with self-hatred and narcissism. Fewer and fewer western men want to fight for their country. The second world and the third world smell blood in the water and they're not entirely wrong. Our leadership class have gone insane and are third-order, maybe fourth-order compared to what we had two decades ago. We had a few decades of unchallenged supremacy and we squandered it because we believed history was over but the self same man, Francis Fukuyama, who said that the post-soviet period was the end of history himself recently said he'd changed his mind.
