Great video. Good to see you keeping up with the content. One thing I would suggest is making that build that is used in each video easily accessible. I realise this is an analysis and not a build video but it would still be very helpful.

Basically any AoE works great, Kael, Kt, Jaina either create icicles or marshmallows on your pointy stick and it's glorious if it works out :D

My favorite thing about these videos is, that you can see other players take this advice to a tee in game.

Very awesome video, generally the series is something cool! Earned that sub!

I actually used this exact set up when I started playing again last week and I'm surprised to see that it's a meta build

I love the change of style in thumbnail.

The level 1 and 4 talents stack with each additional mark removed. So you do 7.5% max health damage if you remove all three at once

Ever since his first mini-patch those first 3 talents are how I've played too. If you stick the Q on the initiate they are in serious trouble--your damage, and you set up your teammates AoE too.

if paradox comes back with his motivational voice “hUUUge amount of dmg”, means that hots is not dead!!! =D

Competitive games don’t need the company to back them. Plenty of grassroots organizations and the community can keep the game alive (like melee)

When l first saw some streamers' builds when he came out l was like 'meh' fuck that l'll try another build, and was close to this one so l'm happy it's actually a thing

I was expecting NotParadox to say "I only got him to level 15, still pretty low level". Anyway, carry on.

I like the series name... there will always be "pros" that play this game or any game for that matter whether there's an official pro-scene or not. Don't cave to the semantics game...

By definition one must be engaged in a paid arrangement to be considered a professional. That's not to say we wont use the word as slang to identify highly skilled players, but technically they are not professionals. This is not an argument on your statement but a clarification of what you are stating.

Remember when malth was actually able to melt tanks?

Do you have a video like this for thrall? And if you do not, could you make one? You fundamentally broke down a character that I main and do well with in such a way that I will be eternally grateful.

to clarify, that brand talent does 2.5% per brand consumed so if u got all 3 brands on target thats 7.5% hp on aa or u only get the bonus once per swing how ever many brands?

It's 2.5 per brand, so yes, you deal 7.5% bonus dmg if you have all 3 brands

i prefer taking Q talents at 1-13-16 and so far the only one i could not kill 1v1 is Artanis. 1 gives you reduced cd that works nicely out of 13 and 16 where 13 gives you almost same effect as armor but for your entire team. 16 is just dirty coupled with fervor(7) and active 7 during team fight letting you down most assassins to below 50%... multiple assassins

"a shield that can prevent a little bit of damage" 1000 point shield is a "little bit?" dude that thing will let you shrug off a pyroblast

Would like for you to do a how to counter video cause varian and imperious are not fun to play against

I want an only AI pro scene, played by DeepMind like AlphaStar in StarCraft. Would be so much fun to watch and learn more about the game because the AI comes up with strategies nobody has thought of :)

Did this build first time with imperius. MVP most damage, most damage tanked as solo tank. He is fricking OP

Angiris is definitely the more fun ult, but it's almost always the inferior choice. I have no clue why the cooldown is so long. It's a high risk skillshot with a significant windup for something that ends up being a worse version of Stitches' hook (at least that goes over terrain, Imperius' "flying" ult can't). It feels like it should have the lvl 20 talent baked into it by default, or make the speed/duration better, or at least reduce to a 15 second cooldown if missed.

Had big problems with imperius and it wasn't interesting to play him. With this build he became very fun :D

I’d say that imperious is a great team player due to his cc spear and a great brawler due to his self sustain and dmg (valorous brand then ofc). His heroics are just a clearer spec for if he is a solo duelist (shield/swords) or if he creates opportunities for his team (the wrath of the angeris). His one weakness is being kited by quick opponents..Comments?

The Imperius videos I'd seen before this seemed to suggest Impaling Light at level 1 was obviously the best talent to go for. I thought I was just being a crazy bad player that I thought Burn the Impure was so much better.

I do also think Burn the Impure might be the better talent but Impailing Light is so much more fun. I usually pick it and Celestial Swiftness at 16 and if you have the quest completed you can get that perma 50% attack speed and 20% movement speed in a fight which really turns you into a monster, as long as you hit your q's that is

at release, impaling light is his best talent since burn the impure at release only applies to the marks from his W, and there's no talent that make it easier to apply the mark. no cd reduction, even the blaze of glory talent doesn't apply a 2nd w mark. it was an awful talent, but then blizzard overbuffed it and made it so that all marks trigger this talent, which effectively means this 2.5% max hp dmg can be trigger 2-3 times more often in battle and can proc up to 7 times when the enemy choose to stand and fight with a full set of basic abilities(pre buff can only proc once).

How are you preventing them from taking the globe? You stun them a bit and then they take the globe.

Isn't the level 1 talent "Burn the Impure" even better than you are describing? The wording is kinda odd, especially when you compare the wording to the level 4 talent "Battle Hunger". But from my tests it sure feels like you are not only doing 2.5% max hp damage when you attack a marked enemy, but you actually do 2.5% per mark consumed. So if you attack an enemy with 3 marks it does 7.5% max hp damage.

that is how it works, correct. each "ability" puts its own specific mark and each of those marks consumed does 2.5% max hp damage. at 3 marks, it indeed does 7.5%.

I think he tanks enough in the cases he is used through the heals... He can't be stopped against teams with double tanks and not enough poke.

Wrath is a shit heroic; can't even damage and stun enemies you land on, can't take your target over walls or terrains (which a simple hook or toss can), while it should be able to do both.

i hate how bad my setup is, not offence to the guy playing but if he is considered a pro for the game i could definitely make it in tournaments, just i run with a potato computer hocked to a android camera for internet

I think his level 1 should be nerfed to either 2% or 1.5% max health damage per brand as it's doing way too much, actually expecting to see it in the next patch.

This vid just made me realize that lvl1 talent rly needs a nerf.. Maybe keep the burst but reduce healing received amount, something like Gul'Dan's Hunger for Power.. Keep it as an option, but WITH a cost in return

The healing at lvl 13 only gives about 500 more healing. It is bad. Only pick different talent at 16 imo. They are all good.

I play Imperius a lot. A. lot. (almost 400 games 60% winrate) I find it funny that the way Blizzard portrayed him as using W first, Q second, but ideally I will use my Q first and W on the follow up. Also, I don't bother with Impaling Light. Low chance of hitting 3 without a good set up, isn't worth much anyways.

There aren't. As soon as you don't make a living off of your profession (professional gamer in this case), you're no longer a professional. The only ones you can call HotS pros anymore would be HotS streamers, though even that's a stretch.

It's not their job, they are not getting paid to compete in professional competition, therefore they are not pros. I'm not belittling how good people are at the game. Maybe say something like "Why Grandmasters play (this hero)." Still sounds pretty good to me.

Another example, twitch streaming hots for their income does not make hots their profession, they are a professional twitch streamer. Sure you can say, "being a pro of something else makes them a pro," but it's disingenuous to say they are pros in direct reference to hots, which is what this video is about. So, if that's the standard we're applying, then my dentist can be considered a pro for hots.

the amount of people who think no hgc = no pro "Pro" just means making a living off of it. As long as there are cash-prize tournies & someone wins them enough to pay their rent there are pro players, tho i guess we wouldnt recognize them as gamers if they werent licking dog turds off the bottom of a corporation's boot

I do think maybe you can rename this series, just to don't contribute with salt, like "how to play". Personally I don't mind but as content creator you deserve lot of love, you do a great job. Imperius btw, I have to try 7 talent, I always picked the damage to w. I feel malganis and imperius in same team is gg go next to enemy, what a bully frontline! I'm curious, have recent events made you consider whether it's justifiable to continue supporting Activision Blizzard games? I've uninstalled bnet and won't be giving them my time or money and I wondered if there are any other justifications for people like you who rely on this type of content than "yeah but the game is fun even though my content acts in part as advertising for Activision Blizzard." IMO there are plenty of other great games out there made by better companies. Ethics is everywhere.

Is it justifiable to have money, when children in Africa are starving? Is it justifiable to enjoy yourself when there are so many deathly sick people? I enjoy the game. Why not play it? People enjoy apex legends, but it is made by ea. Should they stop playing it? This world is shit, man. So, why shouldn't he make content that he enjoys to make just because the publisher is bad. Gamedevs of hots are doing great job right now. Should he abandon them in the kind of a same manner Activision abandoned 800 people? Sorry for rant, i guess

I wasn't asking NP to stop or anything, just wondered if similar thoughts had crossed his mind for a different perspective. It's easier for me because I don't rely on making gaming content, but yeah I don't play any EA games including Apex Legends because I'd like EA, Activision and companies like them to fail and it'd be hypocritical to keep playing their games while feeling that way. It would be a shame for the innocent people working for them, but when you've got an infected foot, sometimes the whole leg's got to come off to stop the rot.
