@@masaki23joe partially. There was still the Force Wars of Tython that eventually led to the Je'Daii order reorganizing as the Jedi Order and affirming their alignment to the light side. The Je'Daii order repelled the Rakata, then fell into civil war after sects were swayed to the dark side by the war

Fascinating group of Jedi. I loved that they were more warriors than peace makers.

This however really depends on how you look at grey Jedi Grey Jedi as in light side users who do not follow the will of the council/Jedi code? Grey Jedi as in force users who can use the dark side without being corrupted? Assuming we go with the force users who can use the dark side without being corrupted, it is a bit like taking lsd and trying to not get high if described simply. There are many videos on this you can find that I suggest you watch as they can explain this better.

The first Force users were the Je'Daii and harnessed both light and dark, when they drifted too far they were sent to the opposing moon orbiting Typhon to regain their balance. Perhaps that is what the Jensaarai were lacking? I had not heard of the Jensaarai before, thanks.

I’m not too excited about the rey jedi order movie coming up but it would be really cool to see these guys pop up in the movie as a way to show how many orders of force users there really are.

Jensaari may have been on to something. Hear me out. Their understanding of the force, at the core, is using a blend of compassion and rage fuel a power that is best displayed in dueling, using the force internally, wielding armor incorporating a beast they relate to, on top of using lightsabers in combat. I feel like the only other things they forgot, that they should have learned to incorporate in their attempt at balance was patience, perception and insight. They bring to bare the ferocity of a beast with great skill in the blade. Had they learned compassion, rage, patience, perception and insight, they could have created a successful doctrine of their own, perhaps adopted and transformed in different sects of its own order, light leaning, grey leaning and dark leaning. Light leaning bring a peaceful presence amidst their doctrine, being of powerful herbivores, providing life in the force. Grey would be omnivores, having to devour what it needs to survive but maintaining balance between life and death. Dark would be predators, dealing death to devour life solely. Dark Jensaari I see as galactic hunters, going across the galaxy to hunt game, whether it is man or beast, where as grey and light live on their home planet most of the time. Dark Jensaari I feel wouldnt be opposed to collecting force sensitives of all kinds to teach their doctrine of death, going as far as adapting their teaching of their armor to mimic creatures beyond their world, such as a rancor, Zillo beast etc. they’d be monster Lis warriors I feel would collect trophies, and some force sensitives they’d incorporate I strongly feel would be mandolorian. A Mandolorian Dark Jensaari would be insane. Their beskar woven with the cortis makes an armor that utterly shrugs off lightsaber strikes, they’d probably mimic the mythosaur in their armor as well, incorporating mandolorian combat techniques combined with force power and lightsaber dueling skill to create an unstoppable force juggernaut, whose armor contains an individual internalizing a great deal of the force in combat. His armor would help him get in there to deal more damage in melee.

This balance would likely solve one of the Jedi's biggest flaws/failings: Not knowing when to jump head first into a war and when to. Both great purges were caused by a war and the Jedi doing exactly the opposite of that. The Jensaari almost certainly would have joined right away in the Mandalorian Wars, recognizing a force that is just slaughtering and conquering as a proper threat to be taken seriously, while likely they would have recognized the clone wars were not so cut and dry and would have likely been neutral because while the CIS cause was justified it committed a great deal of war crimes in the process

@@Furonanator139 genuinely see Jensaari earning respect with Mandolorians through sheer combat prowess and the shared importance of armor in their cultures, maybe even convincing Death Watch to work with them instead of against them. The Jensaari could also combine their ways with mandalore to better explain the force to mandalorians so they can apply their innovative minds to it. Hell, the fact jensaari have cortis weave armor makes me think that had they allied with mandolorians in their respective canon, they’d have beskar/cortis composite armor, mando gear and combined training methods.

reason that people find the grey Jedi to be “so cool“ it’s because they’re tired of the simplistic binary nature of Lucas‘s vision of the force: light versus dark, good versus evil, white versus black, etc. well, making for a great adventure yarn the simplistic morality becomes boring very quickly for anyone who’s ever had to deal with an adult, ethical and moral dilemma, or Quandre. The world isn’t binary, and nothing is totally light or dark good or evil all force users are by, everything we know of human nature, and, presumably, alien nature as well, suggests that the traditional view of the forces, in fact, kind of childlike morality. One of the reasons I find Quae Gong Jin to be so interesting as a character is because he rejected simplistic views of the force that his colleagues embraced without thought and followed the force, even when it ordered him essentially to commit suicide. The force comes off as not all that nice and maybe Darth Treya a point.

That's where the division between a writer and a good writer comes in. The Force itself IS binary but that doesn't mean everything associated with it is. The Sith are your typical mustache twirling villains but that doesn't stop a good writer from making Dark Side characters who use it to benefit others as well as themselves. Like a force sensitive using The Dark Side to get revenge on a tyrannical King by leading a rebellion Braveheart style. His lust for revenge would be the selfishness fueling The Dark Side but he would still be doing something good by liberating his people. Could even spin followers of the light in a similar way. Maybe they've detached themselves so hard from the rest of the galaxy to the point that they no longer act to preserve life and instead "Trust The Force" to take care of the problem without their intervention. Their crime being indolence and apathy and painting the light side as not nearly as safe and benevolent as The Jedi would teach.

When in fact, Jedi are “peacekeepers” never seeking war yet very proficient in violence to prevent the warriors from causing war. This was Qui-Gon’s whole issue with the Jedi Order, they stopped being peacekeepers of the Republic and started being General’s within the Republic’s army.

@@thorgeist They do go to war against the sith. They actively seek war with the sith. Gui gon only wanted to fight the sith to go after the bad things that present themselves like slavery and the like. The comics Master and Apprentice and Age of the republic kind of spells it out.

The Jensaarai sound more intimidating than the Jedi we know. They would've been a threat to Darth Sidious if they returned.

The grey Jedi have all upside of the Jedi but have none of the dogmatic views that hold back the Jedi and have a more open mind about the force

The Je'daii were the first grey. The Jensaarai is interesting. It would be awesome to see them more.

I do believe one could use abilities from both sides of the but not if you use the teachings of the jedi or sith as they oppose each other. On can use the darkside without anger won can use the light without compassion.

This video still makes me want to know what a servant of the darkaide would be. Not someone like the emperor or vader but someone who serves the dark side just like the jedi ideally server the light.

Cool interesting video on the Jensaari. Since most of the Jedi/Sith are extinct towards the end of Star Wars live action it would be interesting if an individual from this sect was explored in live action.

Except he wasn’t grey at all: he was a split personality If anything it confirms that a grey Jedi, a duel wielder of both sides of the force, is not a thing by any means

There are a few characters from the original trilogy i would love to see explored more such as wedge and bail antilles who ran the shuttle with leia and was the owner of c3po and R2 d2. I never here much about them.

What about Anakin in Ahsoka? He was able to swap between Anakin and Vader using light and dark and seeming to be able to swap at will

My best guess...that was a visual representation of a form of death that could happen to ahsoka,rather than actually dying. One could be dead without passing. The switching back and forth represents living,or dying.

i would suspect that trying to master the light and the dark would take a hell of a toll on the mind. imagine basically being bipolar on a much higher level, constantly battling with feelings of peace and chaos in your head. it would kinda be like your head constantly being in a tug of war

Star Wars Legends is just the true timeline for me. But the Jensaari are obscure as hell, and not nearly that strong. They feature heavily in the book iJedi and are only mentioned briefly elsewhere. Basically there was a Jedi in the Clone Wars who found some Sith artifacts and stuff. He started training in the dark and was confronted and defeated by the Jedi. But his students, who didn't even realize they were Learning Sith knowledge, thought THEY were the true Jedi and largely still remained in the light. The dark Jedi, Sith wannabe hadn't managed to turn them dark yet. By the time Luke is rebuilding the order, even the entire group of these people could not handle just Luke. And with Corran Horn, one of Luke's best students with him, it wasn't even a contest.

The fact that Anakin post-death became the balance or the will of the force demonstrates that the notion that balanced embrace of both can't happen isn't correct. It's more likely that either or even both the Jedi and Sith understanding of the force is imperfect. Examples to support this: As we've seen, an individual can sway between the light and dark. Anakin/Vader was a prime example of this. Therefore, a person, like any other object in the universe is subject to shift in said balance. Which means, there is no true light side or dark side. Because for that to be true. Then Anakin becoming Vader out of love for another would be an impossibility if compassion and rage can't coexist. Think on how the force is used by each. Jedi meditate into the force to receive guidance. The very act of meditating teaches the Jedi how to focus their minds to manipulate the force. By contrast, the Sith, develop the ability to use their pent up emotions to channel the force. Compassion, by virtue of what it is. Essentially is a mental process. Rage, by virtue of what it is. Essentially is a process of emotion. So... Putting those two together: compassion and rage are nothing more than tools used to manipulate the force. If we take actual science, which is what science fiction is loosely based on... From the microcosm (atomic particles), that possess polarized particles that flux in balance... To the macrocosm, take a galaxy as example. That has it's central structure that all other particles (planets, asteroids, etc)... Is balanced, based on what we know by gravitational fields, motion and momentum... Then it is completely fair and reasonable to expect people, made out of those balanced atomic particles... Must also have a similar balance. So, adding to earlier: if the mental and emotional are merely tools to manipulate the force. Then the light and dark allegiances are simply the person's preference. More support of this can be seen with the lure of the dark side... Which, to be honest is more akin to an addiction to power, or more simply: a person repeating a process because it worked. The more it's done, the more it becomes habit (aka addiction). The same as a child developing good or bad habits as a means of fulfilling a need, or needing to get something done. The above is why I think that the ideas of balance being impossible is incorrect. I think the closest they've come is Anakin as seen in the between worlds. The depiction thus far, being able to shift from each side to the other... Is what an actual true gray will look like. Hopefully, the writers (with Anakin) don't botch it. Because I think it's the right direction to go with Skywalker. When, (and if) the writers ever get there. I think a true gray, will be one who has completely mastered the self. And can freely shift between light and dark as the will of the force needs. Mastery of either though, would have nothing to do with the tools they use (mental and emotional). Mastery of both will simply be a matter of practice. Thus, mastering the self (ego, emotions, mind, body) would be an absolute must for a true gray. As of the Star Wars lore so far... It doesn't exist. But it doesn't preclude the possibility... In the example I've given. A true gray would be FAR more disciplined than any force wielding group currently known.

Jensarrai sounds more like the Janissary Ottoman Empire Military order of Elite Troops

he was literally so cracked at both he had a dark side and light side force ghost after torture/death/etc id say thats basically mastery of both and i get the implications of vibing on stuff not being a very light thing and yeah he was light based after redemption but still had high mastery over lightning n shit so id say he qualifies at least on an ability standpoint isa unique situation tho as his past is his fuel for dark side abilities which hes largely detached from and without falling back to the dark side prbly wont advance his dark side abilities further than they already are but as is hes detached from that past with attachment to the light and high level dark side abilities which is like the closest youre gonna get

The grey Jedi are the ones that have not made up their minds... That is why they don't have #TDBank... 🌎💘💰

Windu is one of the biggest examples of A Light Side Zealot. His saber isn't purple because he uses the Dark Side, it's purple because deep down he has a powerful, but controlled, hatred for all things Dark Side. Vaa'pad then uses that inner hatred as a circuit to send his opponent's Darkness back at them. Be it hate, fear, or something more tangible like Sidius' Sith Lightning.

Jensaarai Order didn't make any sense. It's impossible to consolidate both light and dark. You have to choose-light or dark. Both are inside us. It's what we choose. Jensaarai were unknowingly fooled. Nikos especially. They really believed they were followers of the truth. They also called themselves followers of the shadow,but they didn't realize what that means. Padawan was their leader so,,it's understandable. They can be called Gray Jedi. I would like to know more about them and other Gray Jedi organizations. May the Force be with you in all it's forms too. Have a great day too😀
