Why The Angels are literally CURSED... | A Baseball Story

Спорт

The Los Angeles Angels are a certified mess right now.. But what if I told you that they were actually CURSED?
Tin Foil hat time Baseball Fans! In this video we dive into the ACTUAL curse of the Angels. Starting with the curse itself, which involves an ancient burial ground..., and then moving into the actual facts that support this notion! We walk through the injuries, including Trout and Ohtani, the DEATHS, and conclude with a string of FIVE players suddenly forgetting how to play baseball... Seriously, Albert Pujols went from being the best hitter in baseball, to the worst contract in baseball simply by joining the Angels... And it might be because of where the Angels decided to build their stadium??
Do you think the Angels are actually CURSED?? Let me know in the comments and please consider subscribing if you haven't!

If it were not for the 2002 WS, yea, it would be the most cursed team in baseball history. When you consider the 1986 ALCS loss to the Red Sox who had a 3-1 lead and loss Game 5 when Donnie Moore who gave up the home run to Dave Henderson, he ends up committing suicide after it. Then in 1995 the Angels had a 11½-game lead over the Mariners in late August only to lose the lead at the end of the season's tie breaker game. That 1995 Angels team was loaded, but they went into a major slump near the end of the season and missed the post season.

As a Rangers fan, Hamilton holds a special place in my heart. And it breaks my heart to see the relapse and results of that relapse happen. At the same time, Josh knew he felt relapse symptoms and brought it up to Angels management who refused to accommodate his needs. That combined with CJ Wilson's twitter thread about the mismanagement and lack of athlete care and conditioning in the Angels organization just makes me think the Angels have such an easy solution that they refuse to take. Seriously that CJ Wilson thread just explains so much.

CJ Wilson's comments make sense so good point. I'm sorry, Hamilton was an entitled a$$ who decided to blame and hate the fans instead of taking responsibility. I thought Moreno was a fool for signing him but it was a very gracious act and Hamilton crapped all over it. Addicts always blame everyone else and you are enabling that just because you like him. I liked him too but he's responsible for himself.

One could argue that Tommy La Stella (2019) fell victim to the curse, as well. He was having an awesome season before he fouled a ball off his shin that he didn’t return from that season.

The Angels are cursed. His name is Arte Moreno. They finally put an end to their curse in 2002 and Arte bought them in 2003. He spends money but not on the most important things. He destroyed their farm system. I read in a book about ghosts and baseball that the players see ghosts in the tunnel they use to get to their parking lot.

Didn’t even mention they didn’t want to move to Anaheim, the Dodgers owner threw a fit and wouldn’t let another be built, because he technically owned the Angel name because he bought the PCL LA Angels and moved them to Salt Lake City so the Dodgers would be the only team in Los Angeles, they didn’t have a choice.

Also it is worth mentioning the Angels of the late 1990's and till 2002 was owned by Disney the company that loves to throw cash around to get the results and when they got that world series they promptly ran for the hills selling the team the next year in 2003. That being to Arte Moreno who is cursed to be the forever owner of the Angels.

I got to ask. Did the Angels so willingly decided to allow their team to be portrayed as a total joke in Angels in the Outfield out of desparation for some extra money after one failure after another? Hahaha! It's so funny to think about but it probably had more to do with Disney owning the team at the time.

The epitome of a one hit wonder franchise. They won it once 20+ years ago and haven’t been back since. Haven’t won a playoff game since 2009. Somehow someway the fans are still delusional and can be insufferable when trying to talk down to other teams.

It really is absurd when I hear people say Ohtani might be the best ever. He's going to have missed almost 4 entire years out of 7 pitching due to injuries and he's a .274 lifetime hitter with one season of 100 rbi's or more with exactly 100

@@LandoCali5 you can really tell someone has absolutely no clue or ability to think when they buy into the nonsense that putting pressure on the pitcher and defense by getting hits and stringing hits together as well as keeping rallies going by getting hits doesn't matter, furthermore driving in runs when the opportunity is there. Hits create opportunities for runs, having a high average with risp drives in runs. Analytics is bs that can be manipulated to make a .200 hitter that has a big couple of months and 4 months of garbage look like they're actually a good player.

Sorry Ohtani is great but not near the best hitter or pitcher ever. You're kidding, right? He does both but it's wrong to even compare him with Babe Ruth who did both things far better than Ohtani. The numbers don't support people saying crap like he's the next Ruth. He does both damn good, but the rest is all hype. We'll see what history says when he's done. Sorry I sound a little jerky; I like your vids & channel. Just don't feel the same about Ohtani & Trout.

Dude Ruth would not do nearly as well in today's league as he did back then. The overall competition is on a totally different level. There were fewer teams, fewer players, and a different approach to the game back then. Pitchers back then in general didn't throw as hard as they do today. Strategy and equipment and training these days is miles ahead of what it was a hundred years ago -- meaning hits were easier to come by. It was easier for a pitcher to throw a whole game and their performance got a lot worse as the game went on. Nowadays we rotate pitchers and hitters are up against a much more difficult series of opponents. Ohtani isn't just a hitter and a pitcher, he's an elite level hitter and an ace pitcher. His arsenal is a lot deeper than Ruth's was and he also likely throws significantly harder than Ruth did. Ohtani has done more two-way full seasons than Ruth at this point and has even surpassed Ruth in a few places. Playing the way Ohtani does genuinely takes more effort and places a lot more strain on him than Ruth did back in the day. "The numbers don't support people saying crap like he's the next Ruth" -- tell me that you've never seen any of the numbers without telling me you've never seen any of the numbers. "He's damn good but it's all hype?" It can't be both. Either he's really damn good or he's not. He's probably not even halfway through his career yet. I'm not saying Ruth isn't the GOAT. I'm saying that calling Ohtani "hype" is enormously misplaced. There's nobody in the game who even comes close to what he does right now, and he's the first player since Ruth to even come close to that.
