It's the same with a couple of other big companies. It's just that they get so staggering amount of reports in an hour so Steve's reports were just "teardrops in a sea". I would contact authorities who then contact KZread directly, but I am not sure how this works in different countries and places. But sure, there are no people seeing your report when you make it...

well, every minute, over 400 hours of content are uploaded. you can't hire millions of people to look at all this stuff. even if they delete it, criminals will upload it again. It's the same with facebook and twitter. So many content, different languages, different legislations. When similar stuff happens in the real world, the justice system would do the job.

He refused to use his privilege to get special attention - he cares about the perspective of the average internet user who can't get a direct line to the CEOs of these tech companies. These companies have been profiting from the economies of scale enabled by software but haven't taken responsibility for delivering customer service at scale.

KZread's current systems are rife with and easy to abuse due to this and the amount of manpower it would take to have a category that went straight to a human isn't realisitic (which is why it doesn't exist). There does need to be a way to escalate quickly or train the AI to better understand as they simply can't employ that type of workforce.

nabeelr he never ran the business side, but he had a powerful influence on the product. He and Jobs were both product people. Jobs was also a visionary yeah. But since they both left, Apple for example, has been run by the business people, in the business side AND the product side. Which is why the innovation stopped. That and maybe Jobs was a genius. But if you look at our modern word, the products we use, all came from those 2 steves. The terminal, the personal computer, the idea of a mouse and a screed with “windows” and drops down menus, color screens, touch smartphones. Since Jobs died, it all died. Everything has stayed the same. Why? Because it’s business men running the show, and for business it’s a lot safer and easier to just to the same thing better and improved and sell products to a cult like audience. The biggest invention since then has been what, phones that fold? Apple has done nothing since they left.

Why do you think those children go work in a factory?Because they have nothing else to eat. People are still slave working like they did in the early industrial revolution or even before that when we had slavery. "Had" slavery, like it's something from the past. It is still happening to this day. Don't be so naive to think that the world is a nice place and big companies are the bad guys, life sucks for most humans. They have to work from sunrise to sunset to get meal of the day and keep going. Big companies feed them all, by exploting them, but they feed hundreds of thousands of people. If they leave those countries, those people will starve to death. And first world country people wouldn't be able to afford their Iphones because they would be so expensible so they couldn't tweet about how much they are saving the planet by not using plastic bags. Apple has what, a trillion dollar in the bank ? And they can't do anything about their factories ? Are you kidding me ? They could have their products made by well-paid people in any country. Sure, the price might triple, but that would not be a problem because their customers are quasi-cultists and we all know it. When framed like that its easy to see. But this scam is expertly crafted to be very misleading and abuses the confidence you have in KZread and eases your skepticism. You have a featured, "live" conference with thousands of viewers(30k+), on a channel with 200k+ subs, and a millionaire speaker who probably WOULD give his money away. They are "donating" millions to bitcoin, therefore it doesn't need to make sense financially for them. In the conference, they are promoting bitcoin like everyone should have it. So the giveaway doesn't even register as not being a part of the "event". It can make sense like, "oh they just want people to have bitcoin, you send bitcoin just to show you have some or bought some, and as incentive you will be rewarded like they believe bitcoin will be rewarding in the future". What is more worrying is that it is a relatively new scam, not a lot of people know they can be watching a "live" conference from 3 years ago, or that views/subs/likes can be inflated by bots.

How much should they spend on the monitoring and/or how much should they pay him for dropping the ball? Then, there's the question of why they should be financially punished for the actions of a bad actor who will most likely never be caught or even pursued by law enforcement? Is Wozniak seeking punitive damages? Does he have a number in mind or is his goal to promote some other social media site? A reporter asks questions and her question seems reasonable to me.

This will not only create jobs but make the process of eradicating scam and illegal content much easier. Not everything needs to be done by computers. It's just their way of keeping more money. I appreciate that Woz doesn't want to use his celebrity status to resolve this (with KZread) in ways other people can't - but at the same time I feel like he kind of has a responsibility to do so. I mean, the reason his name is attached to these scams in the first place is specifically *because* he has that celebrity status, because that status has some degree of value and power. Someone without that celebrity status would have a harder time getting KZread's attention about an issue like this - but it would also be less likely to be an issue in the first place because their name wouldn't have the same kind of value attached to make it worth using as a banner for a scam. And now he is using the power of his name and reputation - but to call attention to the problems in KZread's process rather than directly to deal with the scam. And I guess I'm a bit on the fence about that one. On the one hand I appreciate it because I would like to see those processes be better. On the other hand he chose not to use that same power to stop the scam itself. I dunno. I hope he gets it all sorted though.

You make a good point Mr. Wozniak's "Integrity" about" not using means other people don't have" does not really derive from anything. He used means other people don't have to invent the amazing technologies he created. He used means others don't have to build companies and yes, he's using it now to draw attention to this issue. Meanwhile, how many people could have been saved from the scam if he had just called up ANYONE at KZread/Google/Alphabet and said "I'm Steve Wozniak, I built the bulwark of your industry, and I have a problem?" Ultimately, no one is guilty for crimes but the criminals themselves, but there is more than one way to look at this story.

Emily Chang probably is a person whom she thinks that everyone has a privilige to reach out CEO of KZread! She should be commending Steve Wozniak for using the same channel that any ordinary people would use. She forgets that this is a serious issue that can happen to anyone! Her questions are very condescending towards a person who had contributed so much to the world. Emily Chang's one sided approach tells skills as journalist. Soon, she would like to secure an interview with the CEO and go easy with the CEO...Please be more professional, Emily Chang! Yes, I know...I am writing on the same platform I am critising!

There have been hundreds of thousands of accounts in different social media platforms advertising cryptocurrency scams since April. Most of them are from Africa and these groups need to be put in prison. Just like what Steve meant here the reporting of these scam accounts is close to impossible. I had reported dozens of fake accounts in Facebook, all of which were African made, and the support team said “nothing about them is illegal”... These social media companies need to be sued on how very careless and broken their tech support are. A lot of people are “investing” on these scams and their money will never be returned.

Mr Wozniak lectures here in Sydney, I had a chance to meet him and he seemed to be going somewhere; I apologised and he said he'll make time to talk to me next time. He spotted me around the Campus, maybe 2 weeks later? He came up, apologised for last time and then gave me undivided attention for around 30 mins. I was learning about Investing, and he was so honest about himself; he especially said, "Look, don't focus on hype. It's okay to let the hype die down. That's when you focus. It can help to not jump the boat too quickly, just take your time, do your analysis, and you'll know what you have. Trust that, the data won't lie to you". Cheers.

If she didnt ask the question then we wouldnt have heard wozniaks answer... which is what the interview was really about... Steve wozniak did take this interview to rant about how people are using his name to scam people, he used it to bring greater awareness to the fact that the average person that experiences something like this on youtube does not have the ability to contact a live human being and the systems set in place by youtube are doing nothing to remedy problems experienced by everyday users. Interviewer question was warranted and answered.

This seems to be a typical silicon valley attitude, don't employ enough people, just use computer algorithms to deal with everything. Tesla is the same, impossible to speak with a human about a problem with their cars, all done though a phone app that is mostly ignored.

I think the youtube algorithm, twitter, etc, all the AI is just the stamp collecting machine, but it wants clicks and not stamps. I think sometime around 2017 it determined it could create real world events for people to report on for more clicks. Now its manipulating entire populations to behave in absurd fashions so there are more clicks.

Facebook has the same kind of scam advertisments, I've reported a bunch and have noticed that they say they will review and keep me posted, but I have never recieved anything and it's over a year ago I sent them the first scam report. The same ads just keeps popping up, sometimes they alternate the picture of the same celebrity or even have a different celebrity or company.

Honestly, thank you so much Steve Wozniak. He went through the channels we would all have to go through rather than just contacting someone to take care of it quickly while not ever really fixing the issue. Hopefully this will be the start to “better customer” (is that the right term? Lol) service in the industry.
