I think the proper way to use a solver is repetition toward duplication. If you are seeing flops and can identify a common or widely-used GTO strategy you're doing well. You can always adjust your bet sizing in game to account for things like player tendencies, but the true crux of this is to start thinking like a solver. To do that you don't need 4 bet sizes. And, since you are not a solver, simplification leads to better retention.

So his actions aren’t particularly surprising. He’s not particularly well liked in the poker community i’ve been told.

Players playing different trees is very interesting subject. I'm not sure why but cutting betting size from tree can be +EV (saw it myself when tried simplify strategy). My guess is solver starting from all sizes with equal probabilities sometimes can't find optimum lying somewhere far from starting spot.

I've been watching a few of your videos tonight and I've enjoyed them. I have one question about a statement @13:41: You show that (in this example) bucketing gutshots into a 100% pot size bet results in the highest EV. Does the bucketing system of GTOx ensure that your 100% pot size bucket will also contain a sufficient number of other hands that are value in addition to bluffs? Or perhaps it doesn't matter because these buckets will contain different types of hands across different flops so that no one will be able to notice when buckets are bluff or value-heavy?

Both are good valid training tools but DTO is more applicable to pull off in game for the vast majority of players. People mixing a bunch of different sizings are simply going to massively mess up the strategy they're trying to implement. Obviously both sides are biased but I'd be quicker to take Doms side who is an elite mtt player, than a nameless faceless voice with no proven track record. Not dissing the product though both are fine but.. less sizings are better unless you're a top of the food chain type player with a bunch of time to study.

If you are using multiple sizings to explore the best option in various flop textures and turn/river transition, yes you should use as many bet sizings as your resources permit. BUT massaging your supposedly more 'robust' game tree to implementable strategy would be nontrivial and computationally expensive if you try to verify your simplification with resolving. Obviously raw strategy with more options will gain more or equal amount of EV compared with 'simpler' tree but without showing how your simplified/implementable strategy fair against your competitor's suggestions, your polemics lose some validity. Also HU for souls when???

Robust game tree --> simply execution. This is a flawed logic. Range composition of various bet sizes has an impact on future streets. You can't possibly understand what each range is composed of when you have more than 2 sizings. You also need to understand the response to each size and how to play against that response. You see just on the flop the decision points explode. Also, another flaw that I see in your thought process is that GTO play is always maxEV play or +EV. That's not true in a lot of situations. It always depends on the response. Yea understand that you gain EV from other parts of the range but that again depends which bet size is imbalanced. And knowing how it's being played in theory doesn't generate EV. It's the execution. That's what generates EV. So, there are 2 majors flaws in your approach: 1. Your approach makes execution a shot in the dark and takes way too much mental energy on the table and is detrimental to play. 2. Outputs are a function on inputs. No matter how great your model is. Garbage input garbage output. Speaking purely from a neutral standpoint and not knowing about the spat between the involved parties. Anything more than 2 sizes is a waste of time and impractical.

I liked the videos and analysis you usually put out and the light jokes you had used before. These "jokes" were different. Even taking Dominic's criticism of GTOx into consideration, I think the comments about "AIDs + Heroin baby", Dominics appearance, and allusions to Nazi Germany were out of line, very child-like, and immature. I was expecting a well-thought out and displayed criticism of DTO with a few light jabs as usual. I almost couldn't believe this was the creator of the same channel I had tuned into religiously everytime I got a notification. This video felt as if you were trying to imitate Doug Polk's and Daniel Negreanu's "beef videos" but turned up the dial to overdrive and completely overshot the borders of professionalism. Because of this, I believe an apology is in order to Dominic's person while you can retain your position on GTOx vs DTO. @Finding Equilibrium You may read this comment and think how easily ignorable an anonymous subscriber's comment on this matter is, but I really do want to see your channel and product succeed and want to suggest what I believe is a better way to present your creations.
