I was fishing Charlie Cravens “Mole midge” this past weekend and killing it!!! but it was getting hard to see the takes later during the days light change and I didn’t want to switch flies… I wish I would have remembered this technique. Thanks for reminding us… definitely putting this to use next time.
I did this for the first time last year, and it was a lifesaver with the amount of glare and the rough water I was fishing in
I just tried this last weekend with so much success. I had a dry and a emerger and I couldn't believe how many takes it produced 🙌
I like fishing midge patterns like Griff gnatts, or even small sugar cube emergers
Tom, very cool tattoo !
Great tip!
Is “above” closer or further from the reel?

Closer, I think

Above is closer to the reel. The extra tippet length will end with the smaller fly.
Nice informative video Tom 🎣👍🎣😊
Been doing this for years, one light fly and one dark fly. Can always see one
Wow ! 👍😎🎣👏
No no no.
Because you're not good enough to catch fish with just one?
