I’d prefer the fire starter be separate from the sheath.
I'm gonna go broke after watching your videos
Joker knife sheaths are made from sawdust leather glued together, compressed, and then buffed smooth. This is the reason we do not give Joker knives as gifts for employees or friends. Bark River knives offer full-grain leather sheaths with all their knives and this is the primary reason we purchase from Bark River.
So I actually like having my fire steel on a lanyard, either around my next or looped around a belt loop and in my pocket. What I really like on the sheath is a honing rod, either steel or ceramic, so I have a knife and a way to keep it sharp
Personally, I prefer no firesteel. I have a small fire kit that I throw in my pack with one in it. Also, I think it doesn't look as nice as a simple, classic leather sheath.
Scandi grinds are very prefered to me on almost all knives. If you need to chop or split wood, i use a axe
I like having a firesteel loop on my sheath. It’s always there when you need it and if you happen to carry a ferro rod in a bag or pack, nothing wrong with having a backup.
Yes I prefer to have the Firesteel. Definitely the way to go in my opinion. Thanks for the Opportunity to win.
I worry about losing a firesteel if it’s riding on the sheath, and not noticing, so I prefer somewhere more secure like a sealed pocket on pants or pack.
Scandi Grind: Woodworking mainly (Super sharp edge can be used for utility tasks, like draw cutting leather)
I usually prefer sheaths simpler, without attachments and have extra gear distributed in my pockets. Great knifes. Thanks, and cheers!
Joker makes a really beautiful knife, considering the price points . I think for Bushcrafting these are the best deals on the market. The fit an finish is on par with some big name brands maybe even better then some.
Been using them for years, great value for money , most of the people that give them bad comments, have never owned one ….
I like having the fero rod attached to the sheath. It's not a must, but it makes life easier in my opinion.
I would Much rather have the fire steel on the sheath. With it being connected it's much less likely to be forgotten or misplaced. Keep up the Awesome work!!. God Bless you and yours!. Amen.
I absolutely love having the firesteel loop on my sheaths!!!!it just makes life so much easier while out in the bush!!!! And making a fire that much easier to!!! Love the channel brother and thank you for the gaw!!!
Good morning. Awesome review! I prefer to keep my fire steal off the knife. That’s just one more thing to get caught on a belt, backpack strap, gear that I’m carrying, etc. and can get knocked loose. I like to keep it in a pocket and go. Have a great day!
These knives and sheaths look like real winners, especially at the price point - plus they're not made in China! ... I've always been attracted to the Nessmuk design, but have never owned one. ... I used to make my living and enjoyed recreating in the boreal forests of remote interior Alaska. A curly birch handle is definitelty a must for me. ... At the price point, they would make fabulous gifts too. ... Thanks for the great review of these fine knives.
I definitely like my fire steel separately. I love the Nessmuck. The blade shape and grind are perfect for bushcraft.
