I'm an older Saints Row fan, and personally I keep the mentality of "The series stopped after the second game" because of how ridiculous of a turn it took, especially in characterization - with the Protagonist going from cold blooded to light hearted. I'm glad you explained this Flippy, as I feel a lot of people who've played Saints Row only because of the Third and Fourth games just didn't see the point in even referencing Dex. Dex was the last loose end to add closure to the story. I just want to know why Saints Row took a different direction with the 3rd and 4th. I can't help but feel cheated whenever I think about how you started off as some gang banger, fighting in the streets of Stillwater, and then you're the president fighting aliens... It's just so.. No.

I completely agree. The third and forth saints row took a turn I was never expecting and It really dissapointed me. Sure, they're extremely fun and easygoing, but when you've been a hardcore fan of the series from the start, seeing all the characters you loved change or not even be included at all its really heart breaking. Shaundi for example, she was so cool and laid back in the 2nd one, really a great character and definitely my favorite female character in the series (other than Tanya Winters). She turned into a bitchy whining parody of herself and I really disliked her character in saints row the third. The emotion of Aishia's, and especially the cruelty of Carlos' death, brought me to tears. Nothing in the later series came even close the the harsh, badass actions of the boss in saints row 2. I know it's never going to happen but I wish so much the creators would make a tribute game to the originals, called something like 'Saints Row Origins" or something like that.

bob No there was balance between the wacky humour and serious plot driving cutscenes like Aisha’s death. Saints row the third didn’t have any of that, no emotional investment. They tore the balance to pieces and it ruined what was built in the previous two. But then 4 came along and they pushed the boundaries so far that it actually became likeable. Yeah it ain’t the wacky game with a storyline about gang warfare anymore but at least it had good writing and amazing references

The storylines were a bit more unique and saints row 2 was more remixed and cooler .. also with created character GTA didint have that and Open World 3rd person with cars and guns aren't just exclusive to rockstar and volition there have been plenty games just not as successful.

I once read an article years before the release of "Saints Row: The Third" that the game was going to take place in another city where the main character would hunt down Dex. And honestly, I wish that they did do something like that before moving on to the goofy path that "Saints Row 3" and "IV" followed. "Saints Row" and "Saints Row 2" are classics that had a really good story-line going on. And having "Saints Row: The Third" avoid that loose end was just a slap to the face. And killing him over and over again in "Gat Out Of Hell" wasn't really as good as confronting him and fighting him to the death. For all those possibly and yet annoying little kids who started the series at "3" and say "who cares about Dex", they'll never understand the importance of storytelling.

what if saints row 3 and 4 were just movies made about the Saints after they became famous after SR2? would be a great way to retcon things without throwing the newer games completely out the window for the people who enjoyed them and explain how crazy they were

I started with Saints Row: The Third and loved it then played IV. Hated IV. Then I played 1 and 2, the only actual Saints Row games and I still play from time to time. They're much more immersive.

Only thing that can save this series for me is an "It was all a dream" DLC. You just wake up and find out you were drugged. Continues on from SR2's story.

That wouldn't work. It would be confusing. They should just reboot the series from the Dex storyline, and have SR3 non-canon, but with the original writers if possible. I feel like Volition might easily fuck up the story from now and forward because of their tone shift.

@@kingjah8661 Yea.. So having them time travel back in the next game would be continuing that stupidity. They need a complete reboot or to write it off as a dream or maybe someone's book or something stupid. Just got back to 2's formula of humor and a gritty story.

This is how I view the whole Dex thing. Okay so, Saints Row 2, yes it makes sense for the boss to be upset and to be this psychopathic considering his last minutes awake was met with an explosion to the face. Everything the boss does is more often then not out of rage. Out of rage that his crew/friends betrayed him, that Stilwater became under gang warfare by three (arguably) worse gangs. So the boss lets that rage and anger that's been years in the making fly on everyone that crosses him. He doesn't stop until that last bullet goes deep into Julius's skull. Hold on, Dex escapes. We're going to go after him right? By this point the boss finally starts to calm down. Stilwater is back in the hands of the Saints, Vogel is dead, and his former boss is now whistling a tune through the hole in his head. There's no point to go after Dex anymore, so the boss lets him go in what I like to think is his first act of mercy, before Matt Miller. Then over the years the Saints make a name for themselves with the help of Ultor, and over those years the boss becomes more lighthearted because he doesn't need to be angry. The Boss doesn't need to kill Dex, he got back the city he loved, and made the Saints bigger than if Julius was still running it. The Saints are huge celebrities by the time SR3 comes into the timeline, what could Dex possibly do to harm them anymore? It was a way of saying "I don't need you in my life anymore. I've become more successful by letting you go then to spend my time chasing you down." So the boss lets Dex go, he leaves the past behind him because it has nothing to do with what's happening in his life now. That's how I've always seen it at least.

This actually could have been an intresting theme of saints row 3 and I think they tried to do something similar but never developed on it. The death of Johnny could have lead the boss to reflect on some of his last words "we traded our dicks in for pussies" The boss could be begin to think about he they let their idenity be sold out and what it had done to them and their gangbanging within steelport could have been his return to being the mad dog asshole. It could go more meta then this, with the rise of ultra polorized media The boss and the rest of the gang could begin to wonder if it's really possible to not be exploited even if inadvertitly by orginizations like stag to push some facist police state. But no, you beat red guy with veiny dildo because lol.

The Third really fucked this series. They could've done so much after the ending of 2 but they chose the worst possible route. They swept almost every character and plot point of the first two games under the rug and simplified everything under the pretense of "fun." The Third was the least fun of the series for me. Hopefully the reboot brings Saints Row back to its roots.

***** How? The only thing SR2 simplified was the store robberies. Most characters from the first appeared in some way. Two side activity characters from the first even had minor roles in the story. All of the plot points from the first were addressed in some way and at the end they even hinted at finishing them up in the third game. But nope. Clean slate in SR3.

To Be Honest The CGI SR3 Trailer Seems like it's on the Classic Gangsta Side: SR3's Story Should have Been: - The Main Character, and Pierce, Gat, and Shaundi are asked by the FBI, to help take down a massive organization (Like the Vice Kings and Saints Combined) which is led by Dex. There are also another Three Smaller Gangs (Colombians, Russian Mafia, and An Roman Themed Gang) - Dex is the Most Wanted Person on the (Saints Row Universe) FBI's List, using his Intelligence, and Douche-Baggery to rise on the top. Corruption, Murder, Assassination etc - Kinzie and Zimos would appear, however Kinzie is less of a Misanthropic Bitch, and is still in the FBI. - Viola and Kiki would still appear leading a prostitution ring like what the Vice Kings had in SR1, and are Dex's Assistants etc, unlike Tanya they however Join the Protagonist's side. - Steelport Appears but isn't represented as it does in Saints Row: The Third, being more fresh, little to no copy-and-paste, and more realistic (On a Saints Row 2 Environment Level) - Killbane is replaced with a Ex-Soviet Russian Soldier (Similar to that guy from Rocky IV) who is more intelligent, and doesn't fucking obsess with fucking wrestling. - Matt Miller is replaced with a Man who is obsessed with the Idea of a "New Roman Army" basically a Schizophrenic Historian. - Loren is replaced with a Hispanic Druglord, who is comparable with Victor, Angelo, and Big Smoke from San Andreas. - The Mission Strand would be comparable to Saints Row/2, where the prologue has the player sent to the (Alternate) Steelport, getting the basic setup ready, etc. Then The Roman, Russian and Colombian Mission/Stronghold Strands. - The Final Strand is Dex's Gang, with the Smaller Gangs out of the way, Dex's Gang is more tougher then three combined, with the gang members being like a Cripz/Masako Hybrid, with Powerful Weapons, etc. - The Ultor/Saints Product Whoring and shit, never happened, The Saints are well Known, across the US, however aren't celebrities, but like the Fame of Cripz/Bloodz across Urban Western Countries and that. - It would be on the level of how SR2's Storyline went out, Serious, with some funny elements. - A Few new, character's would be introduced. - Oleg, would appear, as a Russian Agent, that is taken Hostage by the Russians, and would help the saints. - The Gang wars become so bad, that by Dex's Gang's Mission Strands, a More Realistic (With No Laser Guns, however the Sonic Boom would still appear, since that would fit in as a Easter Egg/Special Weapon) STAG Would appear, their appearance would be similar to the Future Warrior Program the United States Military was doing in the Early 2000's. - The Map would be Bigger than SR2's Stilwater. - More Weapons, Vehicles, Characters, Activities, etc and things to get and find then Saints Row 2. With some returning weapons, vehicles and clothes from SR1/SR2, including new content. - Drugs and Alcohol would act like they did in SR1, along with spawning on Pedestrians, and Many places to get it from, along with some new Drugs and Alcohol. - There would be about Double the amount of Interiors there were in SR1 and SR2 Combined. - It would follow on the Style of Saints Row 1 and Saints Row 2. - The Player is similar to how they were in Saints Row 2, A Mad-Dog Psychopath. - Dex can die, however the player wishes. - Modifications for Guns would appear, how they would act similarly in Far-Cry 4/GTA V etc, the Player can put them on and take them off etc. -- Camo can be applied, like in Saints Row IV. -- Dual Wielding would be like in Saints Row 2. - You Can Shoot from Parachute (After You Activated it) - Food is Realistically Cheaper, however it is more abundant, along with more Food Types. - Grenades would take up the slot like they did in SR1/2, however the R2/RT is still binded to throw them. -- Satchel Charges would still work like in SR2. - The Game would be as challenging like in SR2. - Drugs would be bought from Drug Dealers, instead of Liquor Stores, Drug Dealers would have an Icon when they spawn. - The Game would keep everything that was good in Saints Row 1/2 that wasn't mentioned. - The Multiplayer would work like it did in Saints Row 1, but with less glitches, and better gamemodes (That don't suck dick) - Any Crazy, Over-the-top weapons would be Easter Egg, End-Game weapons, similar to the Gentlemen of the Row Weapons (and The Penetrator, Finding it in a Strip Club, back entrance or something) - No, In-Your-Face Easter Eggs, or Penis Jokes or anything, like how they were done in SR2/SR1 - More Special Dynamic Events (Robberies, Hiests, Suicides, Gang Wars between the Different Gangs/Stag/Cops) - Melee Weapons are like in Saints Row 2 (Satisfying and Powerful) - No Upgrade Horseshit, Respect is used like it is, in Saints Row 1/2. -- Health, Sprint, and Faster Gang Heat wearing off is gained by Finishing Activities/Diversions. - Weapons aren't weak BB Guns like they are in SR3/IV/GooH (They Act Realistically but Fun, like in SR2)

I don't really care about Dex, but this video shows why SR2 rocked so much. The story was deep and complex, and made you care enough about a character, that years later you still want to get your hands on him and exact revenge. Can anyone say that about any of the SR3 or 4 characters? It's not like Dex was the only one we were emotionally tied to either, the writing was great.

I feel like I'm the only Saints Row fan that doesn't give a shit about the first game, only to care about 2, 3 and 4. Also, I feel like I'm the only one that cares both about the story and the increasingly insane mentality the games get with each installment, not one or the other. Consider me a hybrid fan, I don't fucking know.

After playing a bit of the fourth and third game I decided that I had to play from the very start, if anything just for all the references. And yea, it's gonna make me sad that the more serious stuff takes a pretty nonexistent spot in the 3rd and 4th game, but I have a feeling I'm gonna love them just as much as I did playing a bit of them before the others. Ofcourse I also had the knowledge of how the games were gonna play out(Not story, but the feel and style) so I could put my own/my characters mentality after that.

I consider parts of SR3 as a Saints Row game since they're at least still a gang. The fourth comes off as a kids game about some aliens vs a super hero. It has the SR name, but wrong content. Can't say I consider SR4 as a Saints Row game.

I love the first two, don't get me wrong; but I prefer to play the Third because of the replay value. For some reason the Third is the one i'll remain playing until another decent one shows up. SR4 was just a fucking disaster in my point of view.

They probably have to make Saints Row a little...well, I wouldn't say Childish, but less extreme because people are over sensitive nowadays, the killing isn't as brutal and extreme as it was. But SR4...in my opinion was quite ridiculous.

Yeah they kinda of fell off the first 2 were really good and very rewarding games but in the 3 and 4th games they just stopped taking themselves seriously i mean it still is enjoyable but if you played from the first two games points then its disappointing how it was a good game from the start and then just tragically fell apart and left a hole like what happened to Dex after the second game a mystery it's pretty much insulting to the fans of saints row who been there from the start with this annoying nonsense games and i wish they would go back to where they started from but its too late now so were stuck with what we have now

I am still disappointed to this day! He was my favorite Saints Roe character.

Now Saints row have fucked up again with the reboot.

Man i miss Old saints row im talkin 1 and 2 not that awful 3 and 4 volition messed up seriously? ALIENS? what? for gods sakes they were a gang not some government agents fighting aliens on other planets!!

VIadimirPoutine I sort of agree. I miss the psychotic boss who don't take no for an answer. But the saints row series has always been a not serious game. I mean SR 1 was a gang game but 2, voodoo, toxic waste tattoos, um super Asian ninjas! It was always a have fun killing game. Yes volition took it to the next step and said fuck it. But the best thing to do is go with it. 3, and 4 are both really good games. But the series was allays funny and didn't make sense.

DrMrCole I think Saints Row 2 was as far as they should've gone with the unrealistic factor. They completely forgot about the whole gang ordeal. The game shouldn't even be called Saints Row anymore, it's a whole new game now, in a bad way. I haven't bought Saints Row IV and I don't plan to buy the fifth possible installment. They have just really taken it out of context and it shows they are lacking effort into their games since SR IV is just a DLC of SR3, it pretty much was a DLC. I am not going to commit to a game that doesn't commit to itself. Saints Row is turning into the next Call of Duty. The reason why GTA sold so many copies is because they let the anticipation build up and as well they took their time with the game.

i like what they did whith the powers and stuff but in my opinion they messed it the series up with 3 and 4. i still liked playing sr 3 and 4 but i think they should have been a different game series, but sr 1 and 2 where so sick i think it could have become a better game series then gta if they had continued on the same path

DrMrCole they are not ninjas they are a army that shogo was given by his father and then his father sent jynichi to be shogos bodygaurd shogos father belongs to the yakuza and alot of crime families in japan or from japan like tradition so they would have their members own samarai swords and putting toxic waste in tattoo ink will burn your face the voodoo is in fact unrealistic but they made mr sunshine a scary character and the truth about mr sunshine is he is the generals personal zombie not a decomposed man eating zombie a man who sacraficed his life to gain mortality but he has no life doesnt sleep or eat or feel emotion and his master is the general in voodoo to kill a zombie you m,ust remove the head thats the only way to kill them and mr sunshine doesnt die unless you chop off his head with a mechete

Has anyone else noticed that in the second one, the phone book is called “the dex”

With the time travel thing at the end of SR4, I want to go back in time and see SR1 people again. Especially Dex, Troy and Lin. They've got some interesting potential with the Boss, especially considering how the Boss has changed since the old days. Maybe even stuff with Julius too.

All I could remember of him was him correcting people on "the los carnales" As fun as SR3 and 4 are, I still get hella bored by them as the sandbox joyride runs it's course. But man. Back in the day, especially when 2 was released, people were talking about how Saints Row was a worthy contender to GTA. Unlike the later ones which are comic parodies. The hype behind waiting for 2 was intense. God, I kinda wished they'd never taken the piss out of themselves.

This is why I always change Boss's appearance to the Joker. Makes perfect sense. Every game his personality is different. In one moment he's a relentless murderous psychopath, the other he's a lighthearted fun psychopath. You don't know how he'll act. I call Saints Row Joker's Wild

This is the closest thing I'm ever going to get "The Real Saints Row Experience." You should make a video examining and deconstruct the tone of the stories of all of the games. How the boss went from a sick individual that would fuck you up if you wrong him to this "puckish rouge".

I liked the gang theme of the earlier saints rows, but being a super hero was dope.

I started with SR2 so Dex was extra mysterious to me and it only made him more interesting. Especially since I didn't get the dlc and it stayed that way for yeats

this video is so old but speaks so many truths , i played saints row 2 and i loved the game so much so i bought SR3 & 4 and expected it to carry on the storyline of the ruthless gangleader who loves revenge, but i was so so so disappointed. sr3 & 4 were such a big waste of money i cant even begin to start. the storylines are so thrown about and there’s barely any meaning to them. i get sad thinking abt what this game could have been vs what it is.

it's sad how they fucked up the series after 2.. Like really sad

Maybe but I doubt the next game will be anything other than a soft reboot of the series

they need to have saints row 5 be a wrap up, with chapters that cuts loose ties. How did Dex die EXACTLY? where's Donnie? how did Troy get to where he was? etc., and they need to also end off the games, maybe with some disaster that kills ALL the saints permanently, but the Boss makes it to the time machine as he's bleeding to death and somehow stops himself from having the Boat Explosion Incident, (but also getting shot up at the beginning of the first saints row because the machine glitched (because it was damaged in the conflict), or something else along the line of time travel that allows the series to have taken a turn to a extremely dark, violent side (not GTA dark, but I mean REAL dark). it would be a nice change. they already changed the game so much anyways, now is a time to do the opposite of Saints row 3.

Dex died when the world exploded. Donnie was put in a simulation and appeared in 'Enter the Dominatrix'. Troy was always a cop and after setting up The Boss he was promoted. The disaster was the world exploding. Did you completely forget about Saints Row IV?

honestly, it could have been a decent game if they didn't slap the Saints label on it. Same with 3 tbh. If they had put them out under a different franchise, they could have seemed better.

I just wish in Saints Row 5 Playa just wakes up and realizes that everything after 2 was all a dream.

In the third was a small dialogue line at the start of the game:"Even Troy can't help you now".

If there’s a saints row 5 I want the main character to wake after saints row 2 and start over from there

1:00 we do hear someone mention Troy in the first mission in SR3 where a cop says "Troy can't bail you out this time."

As someone who bought all the dlc’s I personally can say I’m disappointed but looking back the never was to much when it came to fighting ex Saints members yeah u defeated Julius but it was in a cut scene and he was helping u the whole time and u stopped him in a cutscene it was no different then holding him hostage the whole time till u didn’t need him the cutscene was satisfying at least but I feel it should at least had been a fight dex was more annoying however u actually had to pay money for nothing u get to technically speaking the only vengeance is in the gat out of hell and even then it’s just his voice actor and his purple hat put onto a ghoul creature

Saints Row 4 should have been about going after Dex but it wasn't. I think Saints Row 5 might deal with time travel or something (saving the earth, preventing past Saints from dieing, maybe going after Dex if he didn't die on the Earth when it exploded). Saints Row 3, unlike what most people say, wasn't totally crazy or totally out of the story. I am sure after Saints Row 2 they were looking for Dex but couldn't find him, and somehow along the way got very popular (and you notice in 3 that it went to their heads, but by the end they changed at least in some way). The whole point of SR3 was the the Saints were thrown off by the Syndicate being involved, it wasn't that they didn't still have their own missions they wanted to do but that this group got in there way and they had to finish it. So I feel SR3 was a good continuation in as it was the Saints being side-tracked. As fun as Saints Row 4 is THAT really messed a lot of things up.

no they became actors selling merchandise and they made johnny gat too fucking bad ass and powerfull and he was legendery in sr2 and 1 he fucking whent dark when aiesha died and now its like he doesnt give a fuck oh and sr3 you were really cocky and annoying it felt like you became dane vogel but a bigger bitch the gangs were not realistic what gang has a shit load of cyber goths shooting you with cyber wepons and mexican wrestlers with rpgs ang miniguns or a bunch of guys in suits well thats ok but wait the females look like they are from sin city oh and fucking stag a military that is 100000 times better than ultor but was never mentioned sr3 sucks and sr4 is basicly a game for people who want to see men in thongs and girls in g-strings

ARE WE ALL FORGETTING SOMETHING?! Zin captured multiple humans such as Gat and Matt. So it can't be hard to imagine Zin captured Dex too. However the boss couldn't look through every single pod for Dex. So there is an option 4 and 5. 4 being obvious now is he returns in Gat in Hell. Option 5 they eventually find a pod labeled DEX that is broken and empty and they must find him before a huge sabotage. However I did realize that the momentum of the return is probably dead so what should these points matter anyway?

I was playing some SR4 today and when you are in the first simulation where you have a happy family, the simulated wife mentioned Dex and how she just blew him off and shut the door in his face.

I only got into saints row when the third came out and that was my first time playing it. I fell in love for the fact that they do some crazy shit no one else does but I do kinda miss the normal beginning in the third. I really fell like 3 and 4 is more crazy and on the spot writing rather than planned out gameplay. Dex also played a small role in the dlc gat out of hell for the fourth game, but he only appeared 7 times as a sort or collectible that you had to kill to unlock a weapon. He has a few lines for each time he appeared but was reimagined as a ghoul and was treated worse than pierce in the third game. They basically made him out to be a doormat

As someone who never owned an Xbox and only played on PC, I've never even seen Dex.

***** Go to the police station and listen to all of Troys police tapes. You'll then get a call from him where he asks you to meet him at the church. Besides that, there's an entire DLC dedicated to him unless it was never released for the PC version.

I wish they would have made it were Dex created his own gang and started a war between his gang and the saints were the end is a massive gang warzone and the protagonist and Dex have a intense fight

I’d like to think that the explosion at the end of SR1 is what knocked the Boss’ screws loose and made him the psychopath we know and love today

3ish years late here flippy, but I'm glad that a popular youtuber know what most saints row fans want. +sub. Lets hope for a... Real SR5. Not this crazy insanity that SR3 and SR4 was, as fun as they are/were. :)

I've said this ever since SR3 released. He should have been the head of STAG.

It's 2020 and we're still waiting for justice. Whilst I do care a bit too much about the fate of Dex it still aggravates me.

They said “Troy can’t bail you out of this one.” It’s pretty much saying that all the illegal things they have been doing from the events of 2 and it’s ending, leading up to 3, Troy has been covering it up and getting them out of trouble by using his role as Chief of Police. The Boss also says that they paid up, which implies they’ve been paying off the authorities to continue doing the things they do. I don’t really think anything happened to Troy besides taking the heat for the things the Saints do and getting them out of trouble. It probably just got to the point where it was out of his hands but you never know.

From what I heard there’s another Saints Row in the making. It’s wishful thinking Ik but I hope the new one is a reboot

I love all four titles of the saints row series. and I've been a saint veteran sense 2006 (when saints row came out). and yes I am also one of those people, that wants to know... what the fuck happened to Dex? now two things are mostly to happen for saints row 5... Either the saints leave the Earth as rubble in space, and become Galactic conquerors. or the hint at the end of SR4 will make them go time traveling. now if they go back in time. there is where we fans. might get our closure. because it would be like having a second chance. and honestly both ideas for SR5 sound awesome to me. either taking over Planets and solar systems... or tag teaming with you're past self. to stop what happened, and finally get Dex. either way. saints row 5 is destined to be fucking awesome. wither it's a closure... or just more random bullshit fun. now. you can be a butt hurt loser about how saints row has gone form a GTA skin. to it's own fucking thing. or you can except that. the saints is a fun game. and just get over it. I honestly Love saints row from 1-4. and I can't play GTA the only GTA I've played and beat was Vice city... nothign else sense. I can't get into GTA after I played Saints row. saints row (even if it was just GTA sanedreas recolored and redesigned) it had WAY more flair, and fun aspects about it then GTA sanedreas had. the story was way better then sanedreas too. and honestly. I loved that game. Saints row 2 came out I creamed My pants. it was fucking awesome. Saints row 3 came out. I'll admit I was scepticle about it. but once I played it I quickly got over the fact that the old saints are dead. and I was fully inthrulled by Saints row 4. it was wacky, crazy, and fun as fucking hell, and I love it. also because of Saints row. I've found love for the color Purple. before I never really payed attention to purple. Now it's my favorite color.

I was so confused as to why the fuck you said we didnt see them again, only to realise that at the time of posting, saints row 3 had just come out lmao.

I was one of the multiple people that played the third before saints row 2. After beating the third a year later I game shared with my friend on ps3 and sat down and played saints row 2 at first the graphics turned me off. I have to say the game is probably one of my favorite open world story game to date. Like just the way the story was setup the balance of humor and seriousness was amazing to me. I wish they would go back to that or even remake the game with new graphics and controls along saints row 1. Also the character customization was so much better in 2 than 3.

It's cool to have Troy as a companion after completing the fighting club in sr 2

What I would like to happen: At the end of SR4 it's hinted that the saints can now time travel So the start of SR5 could be going back in time and killing Zaynyak Before he blows up earth saving all the other saints on earth including Dex this could 1.create a new sci-fi version of steeleport with flying cars similar to The citadel from mass effect with all the alien races out there 2.we could all the saints that were killed in saints row 4 3.we could have a secret mission where we kill Dex and get some closure. why exactly does dex want to kill u in saints 2 anyway? arnt u supposed to be looking for troy when u get that call? isnt troy the one u would want to kill? so why does dex put u and julius together and start trying to kill u if he is so smart why would he expect that to work anyway?

*****I believe it to be the best game in the series due to more things than just the story. The gameplay, customization, easter eggs, characters, city, and multiplayer (to a certain extent) were all awesome. While the story is a fluke, the campaign is still awesome! The result of the fluke was the badass encounter with Julius in the secret mission, the most dramatic moment in all of the series, at least in my opinion.
