Why RTX3090 is the GAME CHANGER | AD

My Patreon & Discord chat: / lebrov
I'm sure these cards need no ads, nonetheless, #Nvidia kindly sponsored this video and asked to test #RTX3090 on some of my projects. More details about the card: bit.ly/Andrey3090
There's not enough said from the artist's perspective... Is this an absolute GPU rendering dominator? Or not?

@@ArgoBeats I started to learn Ue4 last year as a C4D/octane user making graphics for live entertainment, I firmly believe Unreal and realtime rendering is the future of my industry. It's a steep learning curve, especially when it comes to the way it approaches materials compared to say octane, but I think it's worth putting the time in for sure. I personally can't wait for UE5 and the developments there over the next few years. Such an amazing time for this kind of technology.

@@ArgoBeats Comparing Houdini to Unreal is like comparing apples to oranges. If you're looking to develop your portfolio and to get a job, houdini has a lot of weightage. It's arguably the most difficult CG software I've ever used but I can assure you it's very much worth it. The time it takes to learn Unreal's rendering toolkit will definitely be a lot shorter than Houdini as a whole. Plus, Unreal has a houdini engine for real-time VFX and simulations, you should def give it a try.

@Choked Boy depends what you do and what you need it for. If you do something like 3D rendering with gpus you can get 2x the render speed because of the tensor and rt core count and improvements, for professional work that's worth it. On the other hand if you are a gamer exclusively, it's less worthwhile unless you really want to play in 4k especially now that dlss is getting much more traction. New series might be next year but it's still a limited product no guarantees what you'll be able to get, but if you ever feel in doubt just remember you can sell gpus at good prices to cover that transition, especially if this shortage lasts until then.

Andrey, I read on your blog you are planning to put two 3090’s in your new PC build. I have only seen puget systems build a multi 3090 rig with 3 cards but had to rely on blower style cards to prevent overheating as soon as there was more than one in the case. I’m eager to see the results of your tests as I’m wanting to base my own build off this and would prefer to avoid noisy blower cards.

Hey Andrey ! Love your video ! I have decided to go for the 3090 over the 3080 ( for hq 3d & octane render )after seeing this video, but I'm unsure wether I should buy the Ryzen 5950x or if the 3950x would still be sufficient to get pure output from the RTX 3090. Please do help me out if you have an idea on this ! Thank you ! :)

I have 5950x and am so impressed with it. But my work is mostly CPU based, and mine runs at 100% CPU 24/7 for the last 20 months. It runs cool and reliable with the Ryzen Master 'Creator' settings. Only gets to the mid 70's on days that are about 35C ambient (we live in the desert. I do have a Dark Rock Pro 4 cooler by BeQuiet and put three fans on it just so I can drive 100 miles away and leave my machine running full steam and not worry. Even if a fan or two stops, it'll still have lots of air.

Hi Andrey, I was wondering how you got the RTX activated. I have received the same card today and the RTX in always off. Any suggestions? BTW your videos rock!

Hi Andrey, do you know if your building workstation called "Snow" can accept 2x3090 ? Safely yes ? If not, do you have some advices ? Im searching everywhere for articles.. :) best regards!

Yeah easy. I was building it for 4x3090 on water, cause that’s what I usually do. You will need 2 PSUs for that though. The case recommended in the article is ideal for that too. Enough space for reservoir, 2 PSUs and 4 watercooled 3090 ;)

Do you know if it is possible to connect a Nvidia 20s series with a model from the 30s series with nvlink? For example my "old" rtx 2080 ti with the new 3090? I don't want to sell my 2080 ti because I would only get a fraction of the money that I spent. So is there a decent solution to combine these two cards? Keep up the good work I love your videos bro :)

No ) you need identical cards. Only 3090 has nvlink. 3080, 3070 etc don’t even have a physical port
