Remember that he did not even score 20 goals a season until 2006-07. So 2002-03, 2003-04, 2004-05, 2005-06 all less than 20 goals a season in all competitions.

I agree with Ste, he will gradually get into it. He needs a Martial type striker, one that will play off him and vice versa. He needs that combination play in tight spaces, in a game with a low block team i would wanna see him and Antony start alternating positions where he can whip in the crosses from the right. He will bounce back.

I love this show! Keep it up Rio, Joe & Ste ! I am religiously watching it every Monday.

Having Sancho and Anthony for the right birth is what we need, two players for every position like citeh.

Ronaldo fan Biggest differences between messi & ronaldo , obviously messi has more technique , has elite playmaking abilities as well as insane goal scoring numbers, but ronaldos ability to come clutch whenever a team needs him makes this debate so good. Ones better on the eye but the other just always scores when needed. I don’t know how to put it but he’s just harder to stop. Messi has to have a bit of time, and the ball on his left foot to punish a team. Ronaldo can hurt you in so many ways - screamer, header, right foot, left foot, poacher goals, set piece goals everything. When it comes to seizing the moment Ronaldo has no rival. Messi is a better all round player yet Ronaldo just has had a better more impactful career for the teams he’s played for. I can’t name u a single game where Ronaldo has bottled, messi has bottled 2 copa finals, ucl knockout tie vs Roma from 4-1 up, SF vs Liverpool from 3-0 up, SF bottle vs chelsea in 2012 missing a pen, SF vs Jose’s inter. Ronaldo single handedly overturns multiole goal defecits (for juve 0-2 vs atletico , drops a hatrick - same in 2014 vs Wolfsburg 0-2 first leg but ends up scoring a hat trick) , messi throws them away. 6 late winners / equalisers in uniteds ucl group last season to single handedly drag a shite team thru the groups - if u swapped messi for ronaldo in that team we all know messi wouldn’t have took us thru the group. I have the upmost respect for messi, he’s done the biz against us in 2 ucl finals, and his peak is arguably greater than ronaldos peak but that came across a smaller body of work than ronaldos. Across their careers ronaldo just has been more impactful imo. 3 leagues, golden boot in each. Top international scorer ever much better stats than messi for Argentina yet plays for a much worse side and comes up against harder opposition more frequently. You failed to note that Ronaldo playing against epl teams in the ucl has 12 goals in 17 games. Which is not too shabby. His goals per game avg is .71 while Messi’s is .77. When you take into account that Ronaldo has done it with 3 different teams, while Messi has done it with one then its not shabby at all.

Haaland is one of the biggest players in world football, he’s a machine…add to that his finishing is amazing…add to that he’s super quick….and he’s only 21! Jadon has been such a disappointment so far. He used to be a solid 8 every game for Dortmund, now he shows glimpses of his abilities here and there and is typically a 5.5 or 6. I don't know what's wrong with him but time is running out: he is being dropped to the bench for Man United and his chances of making the world cup is next to nothing. I hope he doesn't falter like Dele Alli.

What people dont realise is that Casemiro making mistakes has nothing to do with the premier league. Anyone that has watched Madrid closely he has always been a liability at the back. He has always made mistakes when pressured or when playing out the back. He is great when he has the time on the ball but when he doesn't he makes mistakes. Every Madrid fan knows this which is why we were surprised by Ten Haag buying him with his preferred way of playing. Sancho at City was like Neymar, he was a dribbling master. Academy granted, but at City he was constantly getting the ball 20-25 yards from goal, not on the halfway line so much like he does at Utd. He's not slow but running onto things and taking the ball long stretches isn't his game

Messi played in a Barca team... which were more settled & arguably among the greatest teams of all time....from 06-13/14 Barca was undefeatable & had more opportunities to score than other contemporary teams..... Ronaldo switched 4 different clubs & thus have to take time to settle with new group....it 'll obviously have impact on goal tally....so Messi & Ronaldo comparison in that sense is skewed & similarly Messi fans would argue with their own biasness..but for me Ronaldo 2006-08 was on another level...2009-12 Messi was on altogether different level.... Ronaldo is my favourite for number of reasons....but they both have been 🐐...

not saying i agree but there's an argument for it. there's no denying he's an all time great and what he did internationally with france was unreal but he spent 10 years at undeniably the strongest team in the world (5 at lippi's juve and 5 in the galacticos) and he walked away with 3 league titles and 1 champions league. oshea and wes brown achieved more at club level. why does he get the leeway that someone like miroslav klose never gets?

I think Sancho needs to sit on the bench until he shows improvements. Perhaps came as a sub for now. I disagree with Ste about Sancho, he is better on the right. Antony can dribble and run past people and has a lot more in the locker. I just think he is trying hard to assist others and pass to more senior players at the moment but at some point he will be unlocked. He has the dribbling skills and ETH must encourage him to use it more.
