Risotto out of almost all of them is pretty much the only member of la squares that I could genuinely see teaming and just befriending giorno and crew in the end. Risotto is smart like giorno, Bruno and diavolo, but smart enough to actually recognize the value and assets and getting behind a cause that will actually benefit him in the long term by working together. Like literally all of diavolos problems could’ve been avoided had he been a nice guy who learned to build genuine trust and work with others and be willing to change. Having people work under you because they genuinely like and want to help you trumps ruling over fear anyday. All you’re asking for is for your men to grow so scared they either run away or plot to defeat you and swear their lives to revenge or usually both). Risotto strikes me as a guy who’s goals were a bit more profound than just wanting money and upholding the drug trade. I feel he’s more like mista in the sense that he’s cool with whatever as long as he’s actually cared for and it’s a cause worth fighting for. These are all traits giorno already has, so let’s be real.... Giorno would just make sure to pay and take care of them and ensure his needs are met, so there’d be no need to fight or betray a guy who’s THAT dangerous but also smart and valuable as a strong ally. 😂 Who wins in a fight: Risotto or giorno? Probably risotto, but even then, why would either of them WANT to fight when they’re both pragmatic enough to see that working together produces objectively better results?? Meanwhile melons is just a rapist 💀

What I love about Villain vs Villain fights that you usually *don't know* if plot armor is in play or not and Risotto vs Doppio as a fight uses that to its fullest potential. You kind of know that, with how Jojo operates, that Doppio/Diavolo has to live for his final showdown with Giorno, but the whole thing convinces you that they *could* die right here and now, and that Risotto would be the villain moving forward. Its that mind freak in the moment that really helps make this fight as good as it is.

I totally thought that Doppio was going to die here and that the gang was going to uncover Diavolo's secret and keep it from Risotto/fight him before leaving. Probably because, at the time, this was my 2 all time favorite characters fighting it out, but I was rooting for Risotto and thought of what would happen if he won.

A reminder that Risotto could've killed Doppio/Diavolo at any moment, but he held back to get info on Doppio in order to see his relation to the boss. It was only when he found out that he finally decided to kill him.

Risotto is 100% one of my favorite villains and him and Metallica have to be one of the most underrated characters and stands

imma be honest like people might hate me but the only reason rissoto was able to survive boss was the fact he had an option to runaway or escape unlike diavolo like the moment diavolo takes control rissoto can straight up dip and start doxxing him on twitter or sum shit which is what makes this fight so intense : man who has soo much to hide and lose vs a man who has nothing to lose

Yeah, I love how Araki showed us how screwed Diavolo/Doppio were in this situation. Diavolo couldn't simply start the countdown to taking over Doppio's body, because there was too much of a risk of Risotto seeing his true form (and his secret) and then escaping. So Diavolo had to somehow figure out the best time to start the transition. Too soon, and Risotto would get away with his secrets. Too late, and Risotto would kill Doppio easily (or so he thought). It's peak Araki writing, making is wonder, "What the heck can Doppio/Diavolo do to get out of this situation?" I mean ... it's like what the heck can Emporio do to Pucci? Except it's such a shock to us. We thought of Diavolo as utterly powerful, but suddenly we're in a story where he's the one that seems utterly screwed. Only of course, we "know" Diavolo will somehow win. From a story perspective, it doesn't make sense for Giorno and Bruno to have been spending so much effort trying to take on The Boss only for some side character to take him down.

by the first interaction risotto could have ended doppio in literal minutes. metallica is that powerful. the only reason he didnt is because risotto needed information, and by the time had it, it was already too late and he lost.

Okay okay, but the BEST part about the fight is that Doppio won. It was all Doppio. We expect Doppio just needs to somehow survive long enough for Diavolo to take over, but by the time Diavolo takes over it would have been too late. Doppio's the one who figured out how to win, by throwing the knives at Bruno-tachi. There's a running theme in JoJo of Stand Users needing to take on their opponent without any help, even if that help is tantalizingly nearby ... this is amped up to 11 in Golden Wind. The others could be just inside the nearby building. Or even in the next room. Or just turned with their backs looking the wrong way. Or they are looking straight at Narancia but they don't even understand the enemy Stand attack has already begun. So OF COURSE Diavolo isn't going to make it in time. Doppio was right! And it is so satisfying to see Doppio vindicated!

This is my favourite non main character fight and it needs more recognition. Glad you made this video.

I think people kinda misunderstand the premise of the fight. Diavolo could have easily won this whole time. The problem is that he was greedy for secrecy. Without the presence of Aerosmith to reveal Doppio, Diavolo's assassination of Risotto would have prevented the entire fight from happening. Without his desire to not reveal his true identity, he could have used the full extent of King Crimson to end the fight early. In the end, he used that same Aerosmith to make Doppio win. It just goes to show the extent that the Boss would go to hide himself, to the point of almost dying/making his alter-ego die from it.

It wasn't that simple. The problem is that Diavolo would have been in severe danger if Risotto discovered his secrets - not just his true appearance, but the fact that he had a split identity with the much weaker Doppio. Diavolo had to be absolutely sure of killing Risotto before he had a chance to escape, and that was extremely difficult for him! Bear in mind that he THOUGHT he had killed Bruno. But he failed, and it's a reasonable assumption on his part that it was because he didn't understand his opponent's Stand abilities well enough. If Diavolo hadn't been perfect in keeping himself hidden during his attacks on Bruno, he would have already been screwed. So Diavolo's paranoia is absolutely justified. He's especially scared due to his near failure with Bruno - and that was with him carefully preparing a perfect trap beforehand. And without Doppio to potentially mess things up.

You didn't even understand the reason why Diavolo was hiding in the first place. Risotto is a master assassin that even the association couldn't find, plus he had the ability to go invisible. If the boss revealed himself, then Risotto would know that the boss shared the body with Doppio and just escape, then he could assassinate the boss even in his sleep

Honestly Rissoto could’ve standed a chance against King Crimson even if it was Diavolo. For one he has pretty far from Doppio most the fight. Safe to say he was out of King Crimsons range if Polnarreff (who was considerably closer) was. Also had a decent speed advantage so he could keep this up. He can turn also invisible which Diavolo still can’t see even in his time skip. He can heal himself if Diavolo hits him (which Diopio did so fair to say Diavolo could get a hit it in) He’s intelligent so if Diavolo used King Crimson he could probably realize what happened More importantly his alot or attacks are from inside of Diavolos body. Even with time skip how will Diavolo stop that without injuring himself. Combine all of this and rissoto could probably just stay invissible and not do anything for 10 seconds and he could at the very least put up a fight against king crimson and DEFINITELY could’ve escaped if he realized King crimson was stronger

i know youve already done a video focused on la squadra, but an in-depth prosciutto and pesci video would be really cool. theyre very well written and cool characters that have an interesting relationship and development. other than that, good video.

Definitely one of the best fights in the series.

I still remember reading this fight before the anime was announced and just wondering how the hell DP was going to adapt this fight, and then being absolutely blown away by the stunning visuals, fantastic animation, and goated score. This fight was just perfect and you really had to be there with the community to appreciate this moment.

I wish there were more fights like this, but not only villain v villain but more same class stands too. Metallica and King Crimson are assassination stands and watching how each impact the outcome of each others own assassination attempts is like watching a chess match. I honestly feel like no other fight had this level of intellect and creativity aside from Pucci vs Everyone at the end of Part 6. Just an extremely well written fight and one of my favorites in all of anime imo.

A big thing is that it's not entirely a fight, more of a interrogation. Risotto could have killed Doppio easily but he needs information from him, while Doppio is just trying to survive and not give Risotto what he needs.

one of my favourite fights in general, maybe the number one. yes the animation is gorgeous, but i also loved how one leader pressed the other leader to a corner, and how the original half of doppio/diavolo handles it. it also established the relation between the dual personalities. i also loved risotto's stand, metallica, not only because i love metallica, but because of the way he used it. i mean such ways of using such stands isn't that rare in jjba, but i like this one in particular.

Risotto almost killed main villian by himself in fair 1v1 while main cast had to run and figure out what to do againts him. No requiem, no power up just this man alone.

It's fucking scary how ominous he is, he made needles and razors inside of doppio's mouth, he could have just as easily made wires inside his guts, iron balls on the kidneys, fucking nails and bolts inside your brain. His rage was too much for him to control sadly

I have to assume that Rohan was asleep during Bohemian Rhapsody, because if he were awake it would have taken him five minutes to figure out what was going on and then about 15 seconds to draw enough ridiculously OP characters to COMPLETELY mess up Japan and then after he realizes that was a monumentally bad idea another .2 seconds to draw his own "Put Back".

Here's something. Part four uses many perspectives as it explores Morioh. How would you narratively divide up the themeing in Diamond is not crash? ex: "in episode x scene y we follow Koichi. this is thematically following narrative theme 'A' and when we cut to Josuke after we are narratively in theme 'B'

Top 5 jojos fight, dare I say a top 5 villain vs villain fight in all of anime. The build up/ mystery surrounding both characters is unmatched.

I think it is interesting to look at this fight as an allegory. Doppio/Diavolo represents, like you said, the systemic violence of the status quo, while la Squadra represents an opposing authority disinterested in change but interested in seizing power over the status quo. What is interesting is how Diavolo uses Bucciarati's gang, the group representing change and improvement of the status quo, to achieve his goal of maintaining his grip over the very status quo Bucciarati's gang seeks to seize and improve. It is frankly very reminiscent of how revolutionary and civil rights movements are coopted by powerful individuals who seek only to maintain the status quo by manipulating those seeking real change.

Now you NNNEEEEDDD to do Risotto vs Itachi from Naruto, would be lit.

I love this fight, it was one of my favorite along with Narancia and Formagio but there was one thing, one little detail that always will have my attention, Risotto's T-pose, what a nightmarish sight to see.

Still one of the most hype fights ive seen animated in general, not just in jojo. It was never a clear cut win for anyone the whole fight and seeing the supposed untouchable main villian get beaten to a pulp is something you really dont see much these days. also Diav/Dop superfan here, dont worry, we absolutely know Boss is a nasty, terrible weenie coward. thats absolutely why we enjoy him so much. put him in a blender

You need to talk about bohemian rhapsody, he is overpowered. He can bring ANY fictional character to life.

I didnt really think about the purpose of the groups themselves, but Bucciaratis group must have been specially formed to investigate issues for Passione. He was ordered to investigate Leaky Eyed Lucas murder originally, and all of the members abilities have to do with reconnaissance. Kind of an interesting thought.

Risotto vs. doppio, is just Kaleb IA vs. x forts in another dimension 😅

Risotto is a good example of a stand user with an otherwise "useless" stand ability, being able to fully utilize and master his skills and ability to the fullest extent, just cuz his ability can be summarized by "oh he can Feely control iron" doesn't stop him from turning the iron in your blood against you, bro even took control of another stand meaning he has done so before, and his skill and knowledge of his stand's full extent is what makes him so formidable

Honestly Rissoto is another main villain tier character. His stand while a bit weaker than some of the ones The villains have is very very strong and horrifying. His design…. Yeah no need to elaborate about that, Hes smart, smarter than the actual main villain, he even has his own group with mostly powerful stands in there own right. If he survived part 5 he definitely could’ve remained a threat in the future.
