The Saudi International is a golf tournament held at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club in King Abdullah Economic City, Saudi Arabia. The title sponsor of the tournament is PUBLIC INVESTMENT FUND, a Saudi government sovereign wealth fund. PGA players were granted permission to play, by Jay Monahan, in this tournament back in February. I wonder if Jay's bank account got a little bigger back around February when he granted PGA players permission to play in the Saudi International tournament. The sponsor of the Saudi International tournament is the exact same people who sponsor LIV Golf, but somehow the Saudi International isn't "Saudi backed". Hypocrisy to the core.

The US invaded the wrong countries on purpose because of oil. At this point it's a known fact that the WMD line was a farce to get the US public on board with an invasion. What matters now is that the Saudis are committing a genocide in Yemen, with American-made weapons and support from virtually every US politician. Saudi money is very active in US politics, including the presidency.

Ryan Tannehill can throw 3 interceptions in an NFL playoff game and he still gets paid. Phil plays bad in a golf tournament and it's absurd he still got paid? Well we should all contact every other major sport in the US and inform them that players shouldn't get paid for bad performances.

"Forty years ago, it was considered by some a risky move for the guys who play professional golf to break away from the group created for golf professionals." This was about the PGA Tour splitting from The PGA of America in 1969. "The golf breakup occurred largely because of the influx of money that television had started to pump into the game. The top players (Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer among them) wanted to use the additional TV money to pump up the purses." "The PGA of America wanted to put the money in the general fund. That's when the compromise was reached, with the golf professionals and the professional golfers going their separate ways." Sounds a bit like today... The PGA tour categorized itself as a non profit so it could avoid hundreds of millions in tax revenue. That decision is now haunting them since it also means they can't hand out guaranteed money contracts like other professional sports. The LIV tour is doing exactly that so it's not surprising top level golfers want guaranteed money. If someone loses their PGA tour card they're gone with very little support. I don't see how you can treat people as independent contractors and then complain when they go elsewhere.

I do not understand how LIV Golf that is operated by the Saudis is going to make the PGA Tour better. I have my opinion of Phil's decision and the money the Saudis offered him and that he accepted for membership in their LIV Golf. I just don't like the looks of this whole situation at all. The Saudis flew planes in to our World Trade Center buildings on 9/11 and, the way Phil answered and acted while he was grilled with questions during the US Open, he seemed to have the attitude of "that was then, this is now" sort of thing. That horrific day that will go down in infamy, just like the deliberate attack on Pearl Harbor, HI by the empire of Japan. One of the announcers on the US Open said that Phil definitely is not himself the way he spoke/acted during those hard questions, Phil avoided answering many of the questions and kept giving the same answer over and over. Sounded he was told what to say maybe by the Saudis. I don't know. Just too weird.

Look at it this way. Mickelson is getting roughly $10 million dollars per LIV event over the next 2 years, just for showing up and agreeing to pimp this garbage tour called LIV. His legacy is trashed whether he recognizes it or not.

I am certainly not angry with Phil at all, I might be the only one, but honestly, I see this for exactly what it is. Phil has been at odds with the PGA tour for years now. The PGA tour is a greedy and arrogant monopoly. The PGA tour is full of hypocrites and false outrage, China is OK, Saudi was OK until now that there is a threat to the PGA. People need to get over themselves.
