Phil Mickelson Secrets Revealed! | w Ed Mylett

When the pressure is on and your biggest dreams and goals are on the line... when all eyes are on you... how do you EXECUTE with clarity and accuracy? You VISUALIZE your victory!
This week's interview breaks down the path to victory and I could think of NO ONE BETTER to join us in this conversation than my dear friend and one of the top 5 golfers of ALL TIME, Phil "Lefty" Mickelson!
Phil is one of the GREATEST athletes from the last 2 decades in ANY SPORT! He's in the World Golf Hall Of Fame (and still playing), he's won 44 PGA Tour, 51 professional wins, 5 Majors, 3 Masters and has spent 700+ weeks in the top 10 golfers in the world! And what's even more inspiring is that his professional wins are minuscule compared to the type of father, husband, and friend he is! It is my delight to bring you inside the mind of a true GOAT!
Ever wonder what the difference is between the person who finishes #1 and the person who finishes last? In this interview, you'll learn the secret formula YOU need if you want to be able to pull away from the masses, sharpen your skills and your mental preparation and bring home the WIN.
Whether you are trying to win in sports, in business, in your relationships, in your faith, in your fitness, in any area of your life, the formula is the same!
Learn how one of the most successful athletes trains his brain in PREPARATION to win and how to turn visualizing your victory into an obsession!
Remember, our obsessions become our possessions! If you are ready to attain your biggest victory, this interview is for you!
On May 24th, Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady will take on Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning for "The Match: Champions for Charity" golf tournament along with a $10 million charitable donation made to COVID19 relief - Who do you think will win??

Great refreshing interview. Golf is driven by mindset. And it was nice to get an upfront perspective from one of the legends. 3 takeaways for me. 1. Visualize 2. Surround yourself with like minded people 3. Dont let prior misses impact your next shot. Always be positive and optimistic.

As a fan of golf since the 70’s (thanks Dad!!), I LOVED this one. Phil is a phenomenal golfer and human. It’s the human part that has kept me a fan of his. Tiger and some others have been great. But Phil is an incredible MAN. His poise, his talent, his tenacity, and his love have made him the success he is. Thank you, Ed, for asking such intuitive and intense questions of him. I’ve been a fan of his since the beginning of his career, but the insight you brought out of him about his process and his mindset are incredible. I’m grinning ear to ear!!! Thank you both! #MAXOUT

Thanks Ed, awesome opportunity.....Phil is one of my hero's, Ive admired him for years and now I get to hear what drives him and what he attributes to his success in life and his career. I look forward to meeting Phil some day and I have "visualized" that meeting many times in my life and in my own passion for golf. I have wondered what I might talk to him about upon our meeting, and now I have a better idea of how that conversation will take shape. Thank you for sharing this awesome interview with Phil, and thank you Phil for sharing your thoughts and tips to thriving in life and in making the most of our passions in life. The best thing I can point out in this is: "....surround yourself with people who are supportive of your efforts/visions...." which goes along with what Dan Pena says, "show me your friends and I'll show you your future" - life is too short to spend it with people who tear down your vision because they have no vision of their own; or, because they don't believe they can do it then nobody else can either.

“When you visualize, you visualize the shots and where it’s going to.” Such a powerful statement. What I understood from this statement is that “Mental rehearsal is as equivalent as physical readiness.” I am learning new things from Ed Mylett’s show everyday. I am currently going through all the videos to make sure I have not missed any of them.

Does this make sense. He talks about having a positive and healthy mindset. 😉

Amazing stuff.. great interview @EdMylett!

Certain things definetly resonated with me in this video and then there were things that I realized I needed to do better like visualization and making very specific goals- the thing is, and maybe I’m speaking for myself here, but I know I’ve been vague with my goals in the past but that was out of fear, fear of thinking too big and disappointing myself for not achieving what it is I truly wanted, afraid of asking for it and failing. That mentality however, is total BS and I’m realizing it’s far more gratifying to live with certainty and fail than not try at all. This was awesome Ed, thank you!

He is also driven by the importance to have a competitor. So much of what Phil says, if you saw David Letterman interview Magic and Bird after "courtship of rivals". they say so many similar things. First of all I want to say I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation! Because I am a woman, and that’s not to discredit any women that are into sports, but for me, because I am not that into sports, it gives me different language and insight that I’m not sure I could grasp otherwise. It really perked me up to essentially learn he knows he is walking in purpose. Additionally, I know I am a wife in the making and when I hear you guys talk, it helps me understand, visualize and ponder on how to become the type of wife that a man on you and Phil’s level needs. @@EdMylettShow it was your son's question regarding what's the difference between the top golfers and the guys who never "get there"... and Phil's answer about the 100 consecutive putts...it's the "price" that most people aren't willing to pay...this is straight out of the late Jim Rohn's teachings (I'm sure you're familiar with him!)...also kudos to Phil for talking about doing the shots in his mind...this visualization technique is straight out of Maxwell Maltz's best seller from 1960...Psycho-Cybernetics...which just goes to show there are no new fundamentals...thanks again for a great interview!

Hi Ed. Loving your channel, your channel is like food for my soul.. Can't thank you enough brother.. I am 53 years of age. I became a self made millionaire at 40.. Than went through a series of very bad decisions.. Than, in 2009 .. almost dead in a head on collision.. woke up in a hospital bed.. no front teeth .. shattered pelvis.. balloons up my nose because my face was caved in.. after which became divorced & homeless.. This January 2020, I have finally been able to walk without crutches.. Now I am starting over again .. I am starting a KZread channel in a few weeks.. I am going to document my climb back to being a millionaire..! When should I contact you in this quest.. at the beginning or the 1st. Million??

I admire how Phil has always played to win.. I think that's what separates the greats from the rest. Couple takeaways: 1. Visualize : Phil visualized the putt on the 18th at Augusta in 2004, but there is no way he visualized that celebration jump!! One of the greatest moments in sports! I hope he visualizes his celebration ahead of his next major, no doubt his lag will keep him hitting bombs well into his 50's. 2. Sees the value in the supporting crew. Brother, coaches, and Amy... success is not just about him.
