My mom taught me ab this to me and my siblings when we where young. Ahmed gurey stories at dugsi (Quran school) was always interesting. Alhamdulilah Somalia has rich Islamic history and anti colonial history. As for the Maldives part it was a Somali who discovered it and ruled it and a bit later when the ppl of Maldives was being oppressed and killed by the Portuguese for not changing their religion. Many warriors from the horn and habesh went to Maldives to help the inhabitants. Somalia help many Arab countries but some forget ab us unfortunately but Turkey always help us and never forget history.

SubhanAllah! This sheds light on what i recently heard from another Muslim on youtube. He said, after moving with his family to Mogadishu, that he was finding that so many people there have memorized Qur'an, Allahu Akbar. So, it sounds as though Islamic scholarship is in their dna handed down from (perhaps) this early history. Maasha Allah. Yet, in my 25 years of Islam rarely, if ever, have i heard Somalia mentioned in this context. JAK for this enlightening video.

(Jabir said): We lined up in rows and after that the Prophet (ﷺ) led the prayer and we were in rows. Jabir added, I was in the second row”. Asalamualaikum Alaikum JazakAllahu khairan for your WORK I personally benefit alot. Please shed some light on the misconception that all Persians have converted to Shi'ism. It's important to recognize that the eastern Persians/Tajiks, adhere strongly to Sunni Islam, especially in the historical region of Khorasan and what Britain called Afghanistan. Sunni Persians/Tajiks of Kabul, Bukhara, Herat(Harawi), Samarqand, Balkh, Tirmidh, Ghazna, Merv(Marwazi), Bamyan, Ghor, Badakhshan, etc. Unfortunately the oppression imposed on them by the USSR in Central Asia and British/America in Afghanistan really crippled that Hub of knowledge.

Somalis are ancient people, they were nomads for thousands of years. The question of who is who has always intrigued the minds of all great people. So, to shed some light on where to begin, we should first decide on how to approach this challenging question? We all know that human beings must have originated from one source-in this case Adam and Hawa or Adam and Eve, and when the descendants of the source family increased in number they were forced to separate due to depletion of resources and other factors. Since such imminent separation was inevitable some members had to move towards north/south/east/west. Each group that separated took with them their traditions, cultures, faiths, DNA, and most impotantly they took with them their mother tongue (language). Therefore, We can all agree that every group of people that share a single mother tongue are the descendants of one ancestry. Somali language is therfore a member of the cushitic languages of the afro asiatic language tree.

We all were one Somali until the British broke us up. My father is from the Isaaq tribe in Somaliland. Our great poet and warrior Hassan fought the British and prevented them from making Somalis slaves as they did in West Africa. We fought the Portuguese to, and all other invaders. We are Somalis it is the blood line even though we came from different Tribes that has broken up into clans. We have been fighting for centuries petty of us over land that is already ours. The land belongs to all Somalis and Somalis only. My people are 200 years behind they think they are still fighting with swords. Now we have three armies with guns and bombs, pirates and planes. We are capable of wiping each other out for good. The British were wrong, Barre was wrong, and the killing of civilians were wrong. The splitting us up is wrong. All Somalis should be independent and help our country grow strong, rich and peaceful. We may have a love and ancient hatred for each other, from centuries past. That can only change for the better in time. The question is when? It is now 2024, I feel this year or 2025 this epic saga, this generational conflict will climax, this old story will end for the better or worst. However, we do have to live on the same land, and share it because, it is not yours, mine it' is ours. Separating and telling Somalis they are not Punt Lander's or Somalilander's or Somali, and they can't go here or there is wrong. Selling our land to non Somalis is wrong, and it is stealing from the Somali people. The Ethiopian MOU deal with Somaliland hasn't gone through as of yet, and if Ethiopia insist on stealing or invading our land it will be war. Honor Hassan and Huru/Horus and come together and live and let live in peace. You can't run or hide from your blood line. We can't deny that we are all Somalis. Although we embrace Allah, but we come from the god of the underworld Pluto, who has never left us. We have been living on his dark side lets change for the better, and live on his bright side moving forward. I burn a candle to honor Hassan and Huru/Horus my and our ancestors every night. Peace!
