Who the fuck actually hates fantasy? I know some people who can't relate to it, but hate???

Of course, hate is a stronger word than what the people I’m talking about actually feel, but still, some people will tell you to not read fiction or fantasy, or consume games and movies, as if a particular genre was bad in itself. It’s just a reminder that genre doesn’t determine that, the content does.

Strong phrase but soft philosophy! So Basically it is facing the delirium of the ego, with courage to be able to confront the adversities of life through the diversity of experiences and balance them with our own self-determination to explore the unknown. Simply Marvelous! Witcher Saga Rules!! Also I love this kind of Double Edge Reviews!

The witcher 3 is really such a beautiful game, crazy to think that it is 8 years old. It was one of the first games to make me think that video games are a medium of art and expression like that of written prose, poetry, films, etc. What's so unique about them is also the fact that it also creates this illusion of influence, an ability to affect change, just as we are able to in real life. We as the audience are put into a fictional world and are able to interact with it in ways other artistic mediums are unable to. I think that's part of the reason why fantasy works so well in video games. In books and movies, you are always experiencing the fantasy world passively, as an outsider looking in through eyes of the characters. But in games, you get to experience it through your own eyes -- you effectively become Geralt and interact with the world through him.

Couldn't agree more! And, like with every medium and genre, there are some bad (and very addicting) apples in the gaming industry, but it doesn't mean that the whole medium is bad in itself, like some people say

Love the idea, actually that's almost exactly the title i wanted to use for my next video (in French) : "Why good people hate fantasy". And i totally agree with you.
