Why NOBULLs are BETTER than other training shoes

Ғылым және технология

NOTE: This video covers my issues with other shoes, a review NOBULL as a company, and the shoes.
If you're looking for the best workout shoes, cross trainers, CrossFit, weightlifting shoes, whatever the hell you want to call them, NOBULL has got you. After breaking on the fitness scene in 2015, they've stuck to their minimalist NO BULLSH!# design. I've been thrilled with my purchase of these shoes, and I cover why in this video. Enjoy!

    I'm very interested in the marketing idea of certain career fields receiving discounts. It's virtue signaling at it's finest, with the hope that it will align itself with others that also want to show how their support for healthcare "heros". The problem is it's bull crap, which ironically is contrary to their namesake. Oh you mean you mean you go to work and do your job for which you are paid? Effin heros! Not exclusive to bobull, nike is always doing stupid virtue signaling crap all the time.

    @@samclegg2805 Conversely, not sure if it's a bad thing. From a business perspective, I'd view any discount to a certain demographic as a marketing expense. Their products are great, and if they can find acquire a customer through a discount, who then feeds positive reviews of their products to those who don't, it's a win-win for the consumer and business. NoBull has utilized ID.me, along with quite a few other companies, to provide discounts. Also, from my knowledge, NoBull doesn't openly advertise this discount. Personally, I don't qualify for any of the discounts, but I have spoken to them about it. As for the virtue signal, I do understand your point. To that, I'm not a fan, but also a business as their own entity/identity is able to do what they want. We answer with our dollar.

    I'm fairly new to Crossfit about 3 months in perhaps. I absolutely love my NoBulls i wear them everyday not just for lifting but my day to day as well. The durability is phenomenal with these and they aren't too bad for running. I have worn mine for a few 4-mile runs but I land on my midfoot. If you are a heel striker i can see some discomfort coming on after even 1600 meters.

    Another good options would be minnimalist running shoes (I have a saucony type A9, super great for running and also very stable, good power transfer, also super bare bones). Tennis shoes could be good, very stable, also latteral stabillity, best would be hard court I guess (best grip) basketball shoes meh, indoor football shoes heck yeah! Why? They fit snugly and can be very minimalist and hard wearing. Also, shot put, hammer throw and discus shoes are stable and pretty good I think. Skateboard shoes are okay for lifting nit cross fit, they aren't too stable with lockdown in directional impact movement but when lifting they can be great. Good when you can get enough lockdown. Anything minimalist and stable is a yes.

  • @WesJH

    The bike will be no problem. I sometimes bike to the gym in these. As for the treadmill, I've done 30+ minutes at a moderate speed (5.5 to 6.5) with no issues. For longer times or distances on a treadmill, you're fortunate to get some give on the machine so they work great. At that length on pavement or a track, I wouldn't recommend it due to the lack of cushion.

    100% on the list! Going through the "Big 3" right now - Nike and Reebok breakdowns coming soon. Being in Florida, GoRuck is kind of a local company so I really need to give them a review. Everyone I've met from that company has been great. Obviously not aesthetically pleasing, but I've heard good things from their function. As for the NOBULL runners, I'm not a fan to use them in workouts. They're not really great running shoes, at no fault to them. They just don't have the R&D behind them compared to running focused companies like Nike, Asics, Brooks, and my absolute favorite - Hoka One One. I think they're trying to be an in between that are good for WODs that have running/lifting, but they kind of fall in a weird limbo for me. Okay at either, but not great if that makes sense. Sometime down the road, I may do a breakdown of them.

    From what I've seen, No Bull has also seemed to make their way into the Armed Forces community. I've started to notice more and more people wearing these in military fitness centers especially since the CrossFit and the military fitness culture feed off each other (ex. @@outerspacing9207 no, all trainers. I think their runners are too expensive since I can find running shoes cheaper. And I have a pair of dowins that probably need replacing but I only used them when I didn’t have ankle mobility on squats. I’m impressed with the trainers and I NEVER spend more than $100 on shoes (and I have 7 pairs). Lol I’d say get them because they allow returns.

    - They slip on and off like chucks nike blazers, jordan 1s, etc - I think that's just what you get with high-tops; - Interior lining is much better against the skin than the canvas of chucks; - bottom is more forgiving than chucks; and - slightly wider than chucks. I used to wear Chucks for powerlifts, but my feet would stick out over the sides. NoBulls are more comfortable for me. Hope that helps!

  • @WesJH

    @WesJH

    Please correct me if I'm wrong, but from my understanding Nike had to push hard to lure Jordan from signing with Converse. Doing so, they designed the Air Jordan 1 around the style of the Converse Chuck Taylor, a shoe that Jordan loved. Being that the design is inspired from the overall impression of the high top Chuck, it would make it by definition, a derivative.
