i play spt because i am a disabled vet that has had major spinal sugary that resulted in loss of feeling and hand eye coordination. S.P.T gives me the opportunity to play the game that i love and not die in the first 5 min every game because of my disability and this they should be praised for not condemned. I fought and was injured in the name of freedom i deserve the right and ability to play just like every one .

Reminds me of rockstar games. The problem with modding is that it could turn out to be a better game than yours. There are a few examples, counter-strike or killing floor that made millions of dollars just by starting as a mod. EFT is a great game, SPT would turn out to be another game in the tarkov universe, who gets the credits for it? Who gets the money? BSG or the mod devs? If I were BSG I would ban this game mod and cash it in as if it would be my own idea. Sounds cruel and disguising but this is how our world works.

@@collinsmith5978 agreed. Hardware ban would help a lot but it is not as easy as you think. Collecting HW info requires higher access to your PC. Some people then would start complaining that BSG needs this to "steal info" from you. Another very big problem is that some HW does not change it's serial numbers for example (i read this somewhere in the past in a post talking about HW bans), so if you ban somebody you ban another 100k users too. For a player not knowing too much about gaming industry is easy to judge. I am not saying that BSG is innocent and they cant do too much against cheaters, only thing i am saying is that things are more complex than we would think.

Good point. The game becomes easier as player levels up, completes quests, because more gear becomes availible for purchase (AP ammo, better armor, medicine, weapon parts that make shooting MUCH EASIER LOL). It is very time-consuming, but people skip the grind using RMT (account boost) and hacks. The BSG's anticheat tool (and BSG's Battleye settings) is really bad at the job, EFT cheats get detected by Battleye and EAC in other games, but not in Tarkov. BSG keeps hacks profitable, RMT cheaters earn more money than hacks and EFT cost together before they get finally banned, if they do get banned.

I love pretty much everything about tarkov, the med system, the weapons, the pvp, and the quests, but i cant dedicate my entire life to grinding out tarkov for weapons and gear just so i die to a cheater or because im bad at the game. spt gives me the ability to do whatever i want, and enjoy the parts of tarkov i like and not have to just sell my soul to the grind

I both agree and disagree. Some games are just like that. It's why I don't play any MMORPGs. And that's a valid choice developers can go down. I like SPT for other reasons... And for a few wipes after my first was born I only got to level 30ish but that's life. I don't personally feel entitled to unlocking everything or being given access to it all just because I don't have the time to put in. Tarkov is an RPG FPS I believe. People don't install an MMORPG to instantly be given a full set of the best gear and auto completing the raid bosses. It's part of the journey, it's not not for me! But I can understand why/where people enjoy the grind/reward cycle. If takrov respected our time more, that sick m4 I looted would mean almost nothing if I can just instantly replace it.

One thing I've learned over the years is that actively going against modders (not hackers, mind you) is detrimental to any game. Even more: I've found that you should take it as a blessing that people are not only actively improving the existing experience without needing to be paid for it, but also are willing to add additional features and new types of experiences that make the game accessible to more people, as well as give it a lot more replayability value. That's why STALKER and DayZ are also still relevant, same even with the insanely commercial GTA5.

There would have to be some kind of uniform system where all these modders sign their copyright rights over to BSG so if enough people like it they can incorporate it into the game without other small modders trying to dig their hands in BSG's pockets. I would expect nothing less from the community of Tarkov to be rats and try to take BSG's cheese because "they are the modders who created the digital content so they have a right to a portion of profits." Just saying that makes complete sense. Because now they are stuck with leaving SPT as a modded, bannable offense because they have no way of implementing that into their game while having their backs covered. Just saying

They've struck gold by being the first to get this genre off the ground in such a big way and they have a very passionate community that really, REALLY wants to enjoy this game. Yet, complaints fall to deaf ears and the hardcore element of the game makes it so niche that they'll end up losing anyone that wants an alternative. What modders are doing with SPT is not being "rats" banking off of BSG success. SPT is free, btw, so I don't see what "rats" you are alluding to. Tarkov is normally always online as well, so as long as we are talking about modders and not hackers, I don't see who exactly is creating content that is taking away "cheese" from BGS. I might be missing your point, I just don't see it. In any case, I'm not alluding to full on integration into the vanilla version of Tarkov. You need to have an official copy of Tarkov to play SPT. If anything, SPT allows players on the edge of buying to take the step because they know they'll be able to actually practice the game before seeing their investment in it be futile due to the sweaty players in an already very hardcore game destroy them before they even set foot in a building. If that's some people's idea of fun, I understand, to some degree that's me. But it's niche. At the end of the day, it's an online game. The only way such a game stays relevant is by having an active community. I'm a game dev, I'm mostly up to date when it comes to this type of games and if you knew the sheer amount of Tarkov-like games that will be hitting the market soon or are currently in the works (even by AAA studios at this point), then the last thing BSG should do is go against modders who are trying to make their broken game a bit more accessible to a wider audience. In all fairness, even if they did and considering their trackrecord of how long it takes for them to fix certain elements of their vanilla game, it's just a matter of time before they'll get replaced. Tarkov will become a even more of a ghost town and eventually, unless the studio gets picked up by some sort of conglomerate, which they won't due to the hardcore and mature nature of the game and the dwindling community interest. Rather, new games will improve on the mistakes of Tarkov and the only thing that will remain is SPT.

I didn’t even know about SPT existing before this video but now I think it’s the one thing that can really save this game for so many people. This needs to be integrated into the main game I can’t believe they DONT see the mega opportunity in front of them. While they work out the cheating situation they can release this single player mode to keep us busy while they fix the game

This is basically exactly what I was going to say. I've had an EOD copy of the game for years and I never play it. Even back then I knew how bad the cheaters were and I just wanted to be able to experience the game on my own/with friends without dealing with players who cheat or just have way more time than a father of 2 like myself. had I known SPT existed I would actually have EFT installed. As for why they don't have it, it's that classic "this game is for manly men!" bro mentality.

SPT is amazing, I’m so happy to be able to be a casual little loot goblin without the pain of online Tarkov. This game is absolutley amazing, and playing singleplayer lets me fully explore the BEAUTIFULLY deep systems that I could never touch in base EFT. Especially having fun with gun customization since I can, yknow, keep my loot longer than 2 raids. I can finally just enjoy the game despite my massive skill issue. Im astonished this isn’t in the base game already.

Im half decent at shooters in general and i can win gunfights in eft live. But it isnt any fun. Taking 10 mins to wait for someone to peak and vice versa... who has this kind of time

I watched other people play and thought it looked fun, so I bought it without knowing how hard it was. I didn't stand a chance against other players and I just kept losing all my stuff. To add to the disappointment, I couldn't even get a refund. This mod could make it worth a new try.

It doesnt help that every update seems to be focused on skull-fucking the casuals like myself into the grave. -Found In Raid Update, basically made it impossible for me as a solo-casual-shitter to get any form of good loot or cash because even if I get lucky and find a GPU, with my 20% survival rate of raids I most likely wont even get the roubles I could from it. Even when I am doing good, killing PMC's and getting out, I still barely make any real roubles or progress that day because there was 20 other raids where I got rick-rolled and curb-stomped into the ground so I barely made it out even. -Increasing the level requirement from 10 to 20, lowered to 15 later, basically made the previous FIR update 10x worse because now even if I DO get lucky and get out with that gear, It won't help me for days, if not a week or two because doing missions results in me dying 6-7 times per mission in an attempt to level up. It also made 'scaving' pretty much a net-negative because the hour or so I spend doing my scav could have been spent in another raid, getting to the flea market so I can sell the 5 million roubles worth of trash I have saved up. -Sound update, i just... why is the sound so fucking bad? Couple this with the fact that the game is so focused around Hardcore PVP it makes it difficult for me to even try to 'get good' because UNLOCKING THE FUCKING TRAINING / SHOOTING TARGETS TAKES ME DAYS AT A TIME AND THEY ARE ALL STATIONAIRY WHAT THE FFFFF- . I honestly think Nikita wants his game to die, or wants everyone that isn't 1000% behind his 'vision' of tarkov to fuck off so he can just play the game how he wants to play and have everyone agree with him or some shit.

After the huge cheating scandal that has erupted due to Goat's video, I suspect SPT will become more popular than ever before. A lot of players are simply going to refuse to continue playing online EFT until such a time where BSG can point to significant steps they've taken to get a handle on the cheating problem. I don't blame people at all for wanting to play it and guarantee they never run into anyone cheating. People have had enough. This is what it took for people to really get up in arms over it. They've put up with copy pasta posts from Nikita about cheaters for years now. And go figure, after this whole controversy, they've implemented a ton of fucking changes the community has been asking for, for years. Changes that they've previously said would take a long time to implement...but now that they're in hot water, they start changing shit rapidly? Lmao, ok bud. Based on some of the shit I've read about SPT, you can change a ton of shit in a matter of minutes, and a lot of those changes are things BSG has said would "take a lot of time" to implement. You can't make this shit up.

I stopped playing EFT several wipes ago because I just didn't have the time to play sweaty and casual play was just frustration as you'd have hackers ruining what little game time I had. The Wiggle video mentioning SPT was a god send not only to finally get some real pressure on them fixing EFT but gave me a way to enjoy EFT again. If BSG start BANNING accounts for playing SPT then frankly regardless of if they fix it or not I'd never go back to a company like that and it's a shame because it's such an amazing game that I really loved but it's becoming a game that only no lifers or hackers can play :(

Sounds a lot like Arthmoor from the Skyrim modding community... That guy created one of the most universally helpful bug fixing patches of all time, but then starting adding his own personal "updates" to the game that changed core content and REFUSED to release the pure bug-fixing version of the mod. If someone else tried to make the same bug fixes without his personal changes in it, Arthmoor would use his pull with the nexus modding community moderators to get the new mods taken down as "plagiarized content" (which is obviously bullshit, because when it comes to bug fixes sometimes there is only one way to fix a problem, i.e. if the code accidently has a 3 where a 4 is supposed to be, then obviously the only way to fix the code it to replace the 3 with a 4; Arthmoor would then call this plagiarizing and have the mod taken down and the creator banned). Later, Arthmoor would go on to update his mod for newer versions of the game, which were completely incompatible with older versions of the game (such as the version that SkyrimVR runs on). Instead of leaving the old version of the mod up so that people on SkyrimVR for example could use it, Arthmoor deleted all old versions and made them completely inaccessible to anyone (and of course got anyone who tried to upload the old version banned). Eventually Arthmoor got himself banned from just about every known modding community from nexus to reddit, just purely for being an asshole. To this day, the vast majority of Skyrim mods require Arthmoor's Unofficial Skyrim Patch in order to function properly, and so the vast majority of Skyrim mods remain broken for any version of Skyrim other than the absolute most up to date version of the game because there is no way to get the old versions of Arthmoor's patch.

As I've said in my other post, I play SPT more than ANY other game (in fact i have NEVER played online EFT) and like everyone else it frustrates hell out of me that BSG wont just enable SPT type mode in the official release - BUT - i would hazard to guess that where BSG are coming from is that the announced Single Player game Russia 2028 is meant to be their Single Player experience and the plan is for the content from EFT reworked to be a single player campaign is the plan for that game - meaning that they likely see including an SPT mode as making Russia 2028 redundant. If so I think they're wrong and there's room for both to work out great for everyone.

Why would they attack 60% of their playerbase like that though? The vast majority of players in EFT are cheaters at this point, so that would be financial suicide for BSG at this point since it's really the only source of revenue they have at this point from people buying those accounts.

SPT is a great experience. The ability to customize your AI to be as hard or easy as you want, the ability to add custom traders offering custom things you couldn't otherwise get from online and the ability to customize literally anything about EFT is what keeps me coming back to SPT instead of EFT. EFT was great for the first 5-6 wipes I played. I stopped EFT just after the Goons update and started SPT around then and haven't stopped playing since. SPT is a great addition to the community and in my opinion should be supported by BSG. Great video and great format.

Just got the mod and it's gotten me back into the game after I thought I was done with it for good. This should be officially supported.

I recently got into SPT and it's crazy how much it is a breath of fresh air. I had a moment mid raid where I was like "whoa, I'm actually having fun in Tarkov again." I'd recommend SPT to all the casual players just looking to enjoy themselves. Fuck BSG's bullshit.

@@WhyteDehvil Yes, there's an automated installer now. Instructions are super easy to follow to get it started, and then it does the work for you.

Just a fair warning, the last time people talked about SPT BSG copyright striked any tarkov content on their channels. I think it's insane that they aren't just making it themselves and are actively trying to suppress even the mention of it, just shows to me that they know how many issues their game has that would be fixed with SPT.

Most current players forget how difficult it was to actually learn this game for the first time: - What loot is valuable for selling - What loot is valuable for quests/hideout - What ammo is good - How to navigate maps and find exits - Where to find loot stashes, and what keys open what doors - Stash management - Quest progression - Weapon modding and armor stats - Which areas of the maps are dangerous - How to move around effectively - How to use audio - Etc. 7 years later, and we have more loot, more ammo, more weapons, more dangerous npc bosses, more maps, and so on. This is difficult enough to keep veterans busy, but it's absolutely inaccessible to newcomers, what between having to try and learn 1.5x more content while being hunter down by PMCs with 7 years of experience and hackers. Over the past several years I found myself telling friends and coworkers "EFT is great, but don't play it - the learning curve is a wall with a cheater sitting on top and throwing bricks at your head". It's infested with hackers and nikita seems to do nothing but insentivise more people to partake. With SPT, I managed to convince a couple of friends to buy a copy so they can (god forbid) enjoy it, and it's starting to spread. It's marketing-free sales! Why is this a negative?

While my understanding of copyright laws is very shallow (bordering on non-existent), I was under the impression that they're simply a legal tool that can be used to protect the holder's IP, assets, etc. This is the first time I'm hearing that the holder is actually required to take action - I always thought that the holder can pursue on their own volition. I've tried looking up the copyright laws surrounding the requirement to pursue legal action, but can't find it. Can you point me in the right direction? This is not a jab btw, i'm genuinely operating under the impression that you know more than I do. By the way, i'm not disputing Battlestate's right pursue legal action (i definitely don't have the international legal insight to do so). My question is "why" they want to pursue, under the pretense that pursuing it is optional and against their best interests as far as I can tell. Also, to re-iterate my initial point, I convinced my friends to buy a copy of EFT so they can play SPT, as an official copy is required in order to play SPT.

The official version of this isn't even offline. They're charging $250 for an inferior version of what you can get for free.

As to why we so not have any sp functionality in EFT yet, it's very simple; Nikita dislikes casuals, and wants the game to be "hardcore". He has expressed this on numerous occasions. The lack of sp does not make sense, because it is not rooted in logic, but in Nikita's feelings.

Only the cheesers/veterans and cheaters have any kind of fun in Tarkov, because they know how to break Nikita's dumb systems and enjoy themselves, meanwhile trampling on the newer players. This is the first ever wipe where I've stopped trying to meta and minmax everything and it's really un-fun being poor all the time because you're not minmaxing money, but the alternative is to be so rich that I can't spend the money fast enough...

SPT is amazing. You said everything that needed to be said about SPT: hurts no one, helps sell more copies of the game, so on and so forth. If anything, it should be integrated into Tarkov.

SPT sells more copies of the game. There is no way a new player would continue to try playing online EFT even one wipe. It takes forever to get into a match and as a newbie you don't get to play for more than 5 minutes on average due to cheaters, desync, or just lack of experience.

It's literally ONLY a positive for BSG. People can either straight up quit and not buy the game, or they can still be making sales and have people enjoying their creation. It's literally a GOOD thing for them, and leads to sales they would have never even made in the first place.

I love SPT. I played Tarkov ages ago with a buddy and I had no chance, lost the whole stash in a single play session (its supposed to happen I know but its not very fun leaching off a friend for kits), never touched it again for roughly a year maybe longer. Flash back a few months ago another friend messages me, asking if I ever played Tarkov and I repeated to him my experience, then he sends me a link to the mod. I have never had so much fun in Tarkov, and the mods available to slot in are just so well made. Modding communities IMO are one of the major reasons games like Skyrim and Fallout are still played and replayable ad infinitum. I hope Nikita and the Tarkov team reconsider and let the modding scene just happen, or embrace it. Thanks for the video comrade.

SPT's modding aspect elevates the game to a whole new level. As we speak I am wiping my install so I can update the client and server with a new mod build centered around Softcore and SAIN.

I have been playing Tarkov since January 2020 so I got a lot of wipes and hours of experience of the normal version of the game. I recently started playing Tarkov with the SIT mod wich basically is SPT but you can play with friend(s). Basically this gives me and my buddies our own Private version of the game with some fun mods. I started playing this because I was getting sick of wipes and redoing quests, the cheaters and also the fact that I never have enough time in a wipe due to work and irl stuff. I always fall behind a ton to the people who can play for many hours even tough that i’m good at the game I cant keep up. SIT allows me to save my game, wipe whenever I want, use fun mods, avoid these annoying quests that I have done for a billion times and replace then with custom quests and much more. The bot AI is fully customizable and lets you set then up and feel very realistic. I enjoy this a lot more then the vanille version of the game. I don’t think ill ever go back to normal Tarkov

I freaking love SPT, it still feels like tarkov with the AI PMCs. (They can still head eyes you instantly) but no de-sync or hackers makes the game worlds better.

If you love vanilla spt, try the Prey to live mod that adds more bot spawns, adds waves of bots so the game is never dead of AI and can be configured and edited to match the style of play you want with even the option for raiders on every map, you can literally make it hard as hell, those raiders don't mess about and you can actually feel satisfied when you die that it wasn't a cheater or lose to a guy who on your screen wasn't even there due to de-sync. I really like your passion in this video, props to you sir.

One Year Later from this Video I just bought Tarkov the other day just to play SPT so I can learn the game as start having fun with it.

I am also a vet, I work 105 hours a week and travel for work basically living in hotels. I don't have time to play online but wanted to play so bad I bought EFT just for SPT. Dont make me choose between providing the best life I can for my wife and child or pursing a hobby in extraction shooter games. I just want to enjoy a casual exp but for casual players.

I like SPT because I can actually progress before the wipe happens. Do to real life obligations and the fact a enjoy other games as well as tarkov. I can only get a few raids in every so often. It wasn't uncommon for me to go through an entire wipe and still have level one traders.

Modding simply shows that a single person or small group can put out consistently more content than a full studio.

I remember training in online for several hours, grinding Customs in offline mode so that I can learn its layout, loot spawns and player spawns. After a few days of training I thought I was ready to go online -- I died in the first 5 minutes. I basically quit the game at this point. A year later I discover SPT and, truly, I really enjoy the game now. I also added some mods that tweaked or added more content to my preference, I love it.

Being someone who's still new to the game, I feel like SPT would be an essential part to the learning experience without the risk of dealing with full squads as a solo player and would be relatively enjoyable especially without having to spend such a long time to find a match as well.

I look at spt as a learning tool for the online game. The reason I started playing was a car crashed into out internet box on the street. So i got it using my mobile data and have enjoyed the experience so much more while waiting for the wipe.

Honestly, I am at the point in my life where I just can't sweat out Tarkov the same way I could during covid. I am very interested in SPT, and it sounds like a fun and chill way to play a game I do enjoy mechanically. Quite literally at the point of either I play SPT, or I don't play at all.

SPT is far superior than the live game at this point, there is no reason to try and crack down on it. Why would I play the live version and deal with desync, invisible players, ESP and aimbot users when I could just have fun in SPT? Nothing BSG can really do to stop it anyway, even if they took legal action, someone anonymous would just take up the mantle. Hopefully someone will be able to implement coop into it eventually too.

If it had coop I would actually be playing it religiously with a friend of mine, who hasn't even bought the game because of how bad EFT is atm, and a friend of mine who uninstalled years ago because of how bad it was back THEN (and only got worse), meaning they'd get returning players and at least one more sale just from my two friends... The big point this video made that I was thinking on repeat was "If they feel like people would prefer the single player over the multiplayer, that isn't a mod problem, that is a game problem"

Sadly they've already said its impossible to implement coop into the game as that would require their own servers and online functionality, which would cause legal problems. Afaik they're not doing anything illegal which I think they've also stated, so BSG has no grounds for a lawsuit. No money is being made, nothing is being stolen and no copyright is being infringed on.

There have been cases of developers hiring on the most talented modders of their games. Perhaps BSG would be wise to do the same.

I see SPT as a great push for what players want... this is finally players telling developers "We want this and if you dont give it to us... we'll do it ourselves" The only way to truly get rid of SPT is if BattleState does the smart thing and just makes a SPT of their own that is completely controllable by the player.

I only ever play SPT now. I actually stopped playing EFT for about 6 months because I just got sick and tired of waiting ages to actually get into a game, and then get one-tapped from across the map by cheaters or ambushed by extract campers. Then I found out about SPT and now I can enjoy a couple of raids in an evening and feel like Im actually achieving something, doing quests and building the hideout etc, and progressing. There are mods that let you adjust the AI for example, so you can make the game as easy or as hard as you like.

My issue is I have to play solo anyway, and with really bad internet online is really bad in terms of stutters, and de-sync. I tried to get friends into this game, but only got one friend to play a couple raids, and he just doesn't have the time to commit. So between those factors I just play SPT.

SPT with friends in coop would be amazing. i bought the EOD edition years a go and while i love the concept i just cant compete with other players.

I play SPT because I enjoy tarkov and would love a single player experience. I am not the best player and have rather recently been verbally abused both for being new and for how I sounded (IE voice). Not the first time its happened either. So I play SPT and support tarkovs development. I bought it for a friend last month and his rig couldn't handle it. SO I'm back to either suffering solo and feeling like I'm horrible. SPT allows me to learn maps to better serve myself and "Try" to get myself to the point where I won't jump at very loud, sudden noises. I don't play tarkov daily for hours on end. SO just being able to boot up SPT and chill is very fun. I Struggle with ptsd and Tarkov has led to me helping get past my jump reflex I mentioned earlier. It still happens, but not as often, I'm no longer smashing my thumb from a jump scare or clutching my head at the noise. I know its a year late, but thank you for the vid. @@Err0rkatze SPT doesn't have a multiplayer/co-op mode is mainly because, it is Single-player, and it means to be. It is a little grey area and the protection that BSG didn't take immediate action on them somehow. If they have a connection mode I am sure things is going down real fast.

They dont see it but SPT is at 947k downloads right now, lets say that half are redownloads for a new version thats still a massive number for the game. Maybe they do see it and are angry at that. The only reasonable way to take SPT down is to make it obsolete by integrating it in the game, maybe even with the modding enabled.

I'm the last category of SP tarkov Players... I have a job and a family so gaming took a big step back in my life. I let tarkov down completly for several years because of the toxicity, cheaters and overall the time needed to play the game. SP tarkov is exactly what I needed to play it again and enjoy it exactly like you said it : As a newer and more grounded stalker that I can enjoy late in the evening when my child is sleeping and my wife is watching TV so yeah : Big love to the SP Tarkov team and to BSG too because they made a great game but they lock it behind worse than a paywall : a dedication wall that me and a lot of people can't bypass.

I like it a lot, cant figure out all the configurations and how to actually use a lot of the additional mods but I'm alowly learning

I play SPT and will continue playing as long as it exists. I find the online Tarkov too harsh for me, it really is brutal and like you said, I have family and work and a real life and it all takes time away from video gaming. It's not even that the game is too harsh tbh. It's just so fucking boring when everyone runs the same zero skill braindead weapon setups that beam people from like 500 meters away, meanwhile people who have like 20 hours max a week to play the game are constantly stuck with shit gear against the thicc Chads or the 60% playerbase that are hackers. If it wasn't for SPT I'd have never picked Tarkov up, I think the main reason that they refuse to make an official SPT mode is because it requires them to admit they were wrong and BSG wpuld rather the game be infested with hackers than ever admit such a thing at this point.

@Red_Lion2000 RIP ammo basically completely negates armor in SMGs for people with terrible aim who can't get consistent headshots with regular rifles. There are ways to get past high tier armor, the bullshit comes with kitted out guns and making headshots insanely easy. That's the real difference and disparity in kit between players no one wants to talk about for some reason.

I have nothing against the live version, and think ita genuinely a cool idea. But that's the thing, an IDEA. The implementation is poor, though, with network issues and cheating turning me off. With SP, I can still enjoy the game and atmosphere, without all the bullshit. Honestly, I'd rather play the live version with friends if there was absolutely ZERO cheating, and rock solid networking. Unfortunately that's not the case, so SP still allows me to enjoy what the devs created, and also be able to patch/fix any issues on my own without waiting for an update to be pushed out.

Originally when I got tarkov, I thought I wasted my money on something I thought was a cool idea. I lost my competitive edge a while ago so playing live tarkov results in misery. I love a lot of tarkovs features but the playerbase and net issues combined makes it unbearable for those who don't treat it like a job. Spt is perfect. As a stalker fan who's sunk countless hours into mod packs, I have a lot of fun with Spt. The modders there are talented and give us new content that might not even make it into the game ever. Spt lets players experience stuff they never would and appreciate all the work ur whole teams put into the game that live players might not even pay attention to. Ban me from ur live all u want, I'm 99% probably not ever going back. Nikita needs to learn how extremely potent a modding scene for a game is and how much it drives up sales and how fondly people look at u and the company when u encourage non harmful mods. Get off ur pedastal of "my way is perfect", it just drives people against u.

I wouldnt worry about doing bad in tarkov anyway. The game is much more gear based than skill based. Even if you get the drop on someone, the bullshit armour system and overpowered helmets just handhold them to victory as they shrug off several headshots from an assault rifle and lazer you down with some bullshit meta gun with ammo normal humans dont even have access to.

@@Red_Lion2000 complete bullshit, the opposite is true. they should not have removed tier 5 helmets and tier 5 face shields from traders. strong armor is good for the game, it gives you something to work towards. it adds progression. with no strong gear to grind for. there is NO POINT to playing this game. this mindset you have in my opinion is what ruins tarkov, it ruins progression. we NEED strong weapons and armor to grind for. progression is the #1 most important thing in the game. and progression means unlocking good gear.

I have not played this particular SPT yet but i certainly plan to, i will say that this version seems a lot better put together than the previous one i had tried at one point, being EmuTarkov. In that version, though it was SP they seemingly jacked the loot rates as well as the level of gear that the crappy ai pmcs have so it was far too easy to get the good stuff right off the bat and it took the fun out of working my way up in gear quality

I first found out about this by accidentally commenting on a reddit post and talking with real players. It was nuts. At first I was skeptical. I didn't understand why anyone would hide from tarkov to play this. As I thought more I realized I was just jealous. Imagine having a great game with NO flaws. Everything we love about tarkov just exists without a but. I wish I could play tarkov with players but without all the issues. It's be the best game ever. I can't. We can't. With SPT you can. I completely understand the appeal behind this. I support it becoming a full fledged edition. I hope nikita doesn't take action becuase you're right about it hurting no one. Everyone wins.

Its crazy how you were treated over in the EFT reddit page for even mentioning it. I played 2.5 wipes online and I will never forget the experience it was with the ups and downs it brought. SPT has sparked some serious life into a brilliantly made game (thank you Nikita its truly fucking something special) by players who have the time and know how into modding. I'm one of those players. As a casual gamer SPTarkov is superior. I honestly prefer it. If it had the ability to play co-op I'd buy copies for my friends too.

@@toneloke4417 Its all about having a good set of mods.. Once you get it tuned it's just as hard or harder than the live game.... You don't have to jump in at wipe day to stay current.. Its like having a wipe revolve around your progression.

In my 3rd wipe with EOD never herd of SPT till your vid. Tarkov was the first fps game I ever played on mouse and keyboard and I am still not great with them. Thanks for the video good to know.

I've never heard of this, and I very intrigued. I work out of town during the weekdays so everything I need or want to do at home including but not limited to house work, visiting with family, and gaming, has to be done on the weekend. Because of this, I only have 10hrs max to play Tarkov each week. It's just simply not enough to learn a game with so much depth while being so unforgiving. On top of it all, there are wipes where the little progress I have made is gone, so if I continue playing I'm basically replaying the same parts and tasks over and over and never getting to experience the later parts of the game I paid $150 for years ago! It's beyond frustrating! I eventually just dropped Tarkov altogether as I just didn't see the point. But with this mod maybe there's a chance! Thank you for shedding light on this!

I hate how they are more concerned about a single player mod then they are with weeding out annoying hackers that drove me and many others away from online tarkov. Get rid of the hackers and people come back. Simple logic really.

They aiming for anyone at this point. Can’t beat the cheat developers so they go for group of legitimate community members who are fully visible and tryna sue simply out of convenience… I know Nikita is angry about the recent media. So he’s just throwing tantrums cause he knows tarkov is gonna die if BSG can’t (wont) fix it

This is the BEST, TOM CLANCY experience outside of the actual games you can have. I currently have the version you need to pay for... but If I get banned, then I HAVE to get the free one... I payed lots of money for EOD.

You wont be banned they cannot even have ways to know if you have it other than running the SPT server and the live launcher at the same time (or stream it with the same name you have on the live version)

If you get banned you won’t be able to play spt anymore because it’s just tarkov that’s forced into offline. You would have to buy another copy.

Great video. I really hope the developers will watch it and reflect on your take of SPT. I bought the game when it first came out and haven't touched it since because it felt so overwhelming and the gear fear in me wouldn't go away. Not to mention the recent hackers too. If they ever impliment SPT or allow it in the future, I wouldn't hesitate reinstalling the game and having another go at it.

Or you could just play the game and overcome your fears. Seems you bought a game that wasn't for you, and blamed the game for it. Tarkov is still tarkov, even in SPT. you're gonna lose your stuff, unless you mod it otherwise, but then if you do that, should your really be playing it?

Spt is amazing! Can't be more thankful for the modders that made it happen and for the constans updates and the community that keeps making awesome mods for it!

What’s your favorite mod? I honestly really like the trader that adds new guns, the CTME Ameli light machine gun is my favorite weapon, it takes forever before it’s really usable but an LMG with default 200 round boxes and a working animation is super fun, going in with a machine gunner LARP is just plain fun

I just found spt on Monday and fell in love with it. I work from 2p-10p and when I get off all the sweaties are on. Spt let's me enjoy the game still. I still play live in the morning, but spt is my main afterwork now 😄

I'm definitely going to try this out. Never heard of this until now. Love tarkov but I'm away for work months at a time without internet

What nikita really meant in that post: No, you will play with our cheaters so we can keep capitalising off of them and you will enjoy it

Tarkov without hackers or desync, whats not to like? The mods in SPt are amazing, the fans have created a far better game than BSG ever could.

Its always mind blowing that modders are more capable of making games good. Corporations make shells, modders turn the shell into games with replayability and in some cases actually playable.

I play SPT a lot. You don't get the same thrill as live PvP, but I got frustrated and bored with it after the shitty recoil changes they made in 12.12. IMO, if you try to make SPT like live it'll get very boring very quickly. But if you install mods that make it play like a single player game, like realism mod, path to tarkov, softcore and more, it can be really fun. There are many mods that add new content and mechanics, stuff that I wish was in live.

I don't see how anyone enjoys the PVP in live Tarkov, the full 1000ms of desync between clients plus all the other weird desync that happens makes PVP entirely unenjoyable for me, both as a winner and loser, as a loser it almost always feels like you die to desync/cheats, but as a winner often the victim never even knew you were there because the game just wasn't caught up enough to render you yet.

Indeed. I only played for a few wipes, but left after sweaty chads and cheaters took over every match I played. I couldn’t progress much in live due to many reasons, mostly due to time (jobs, family etc..) and cheaters. When I started Sptarkov I learned the maps, weapons, fully use the amazing gunsmith and realized how good the game actually is. What ruins it is the abundance of cheaters and the weird metas that exist in the live version.

i bought the game back at wipe 12 and played with a close group but after so long the group grew up and moved to other games so im now stuck here with the EOD version and im too scared to play alone as i dislike the pvp aspect when im alone, when i found SPT i was so happy that i can finally play the game ive wanted to play for so long without the fear of raging every raid cuz im getting shit on by sweaty people that play 24/7 SPT has made my $100 worth spending

But if they planning on it they know already they have a money printing machine, they should shut all other development on arena and rush that one. As for the mod you have to have an original copy of the game so the money is going to them already idk why it would annoy them in that regard. Having an official offline mode will only bring more players its a fucking no brainer.

not gonna lie... if they decided to SELL a dedicated single player/pve mode... I wouldn't buy it on principle. It should be part of the base game, not a paid add on.

I played spt for about a week around when 0.13 launched, and its a great experience. I love that I can tailor the experience to play exactly how I want with mods and have guns with actually usable recoil. On my first day since I was still in the tarkov mindset, and would normally avoid raiders like the plague in a normal raid in tarkov, I decided to try fighting them in the bunker of reserve. I had recoil adjustment mods to make the guns more usable because this was before the recoil changes we recently got, and I was surprised at how easy I was able to take out the raiders with an m4 running m855. To be clear, the only mods I had at that time were custom traders to be able to just buy every item, recoil changes, and spawn rate/chance adjustments to actually make them spawn reliably. No AI tweaks. No armor or damage model changes. I died maybe once or twice in an honestly surprising amount of runs, and it felt so good to actually be able to play tarkov without the game feeling like its fighting me. Before this I thought I was just absolutely awful at fighting in tarkov, but it turns out when I can actually have some semblance of control over my pmc and their gun, I can actually kill things pretty effectively. Also not getting agro pushed by a cheater or someone abusing shitty netcode kinda helps (yes, I know how to push fights too, but all that really does is skew the coin toss in your favor). After that I just kinda ran through the tasks like I would a normal playthrough of a tarkov wipe, and it was neat to actually feel like I could fight good, proper fights. I would be interested in looking into more of the unique mods that add things like custom quests and things, but I just simply dont have the patience for that kind of thing when I do it so often with so many other games I play, on top of already having to do the other parts of tarkov along side it. Conclusion: SP-Tarkov cool, if you dont like the way tarkov plays right now, go ahead and give it a shot. The wiki/setup guide tells you how to install it step by step pretty clearly and if you can follow instructions, download a file, and can work a file explorer, you should have no issues getting it set up. And considering you already play tarkov, you should at least find it doable.

I just started playing SPT yesterday after spending hours playing offline raids in EFT since i rarely have time or desire to grind out and enjoy the game before every wipe i usually just hop on offline raids and just scav and test out some random builds from my stash. The offline mode in EFT should have always been SPT from the get go. Its so much more reliable and consistent and over all much more enjoyable, you can enjoy the game and still feel like you are learning the game unlike EFT's Offline mode.

You have earned a subscriber. I am going to install it now, because I am very casual, I just want to disconnect from the world even for an hour and not be under pressure. This game, being casual, is very frustrating and more so when you can't dedicate so many hours, as you have explained. Thank you very much for your content

It literally looks like SPT can become a part of typical EFT gameplay in near future, no cheaters, no desync, just the good stuff

Any time a game developer goes after modders for making something they can't and or won't make it's a bad PR move. Especially when people genuinely enjoy the game but most of the problems are implemented but poor servers and player management.

Playing spt aswell and loading into a raid in about a minute just makes it better too

SPT is the only way me and my father can enjoy tarkov. We're not young anymore. We can't keep up with the competitive young 24/7 gamers that use radar and cheats to just shit on people like us. SPT is the only good tarkov.

My friend is in exactly the same spot you're talking about in the video. She's an EFT chad, but now she had to attend some business around the globe and visit few other countries. Most rented apartments she has been to don't have a good enough connection for her to play online. So she's just enjoying the game offline, gaming laptop and pre-installed SPT is all she needs in order to play her fav game anywhere, and feel a little bit closer to being home :)

I think it's a great thing to have and they should have this implemented in a future patch or if the game ever fully releases it should have a version like spt. I use it to learn maps and to learn where missions or certain things I need to get are so when I am in the game with my friends I'm not feeling so lost when I am doing a mission

The only downside to this that I can see is that it siphons off some portion of very inexperienced players that can serve as cannon fodder to the more advanced players. I am very new still, made it to level 8 so far, and I can say that I'd love it if BSG made an official single player version, or even worked with the modder author to release SPT as an expansion. From my own experience thus far I can see a lot of people giving up before they learn enough feel comfortable playing online, especially if one has to start mid wipe

As someone who started mid wipe, with a couple of more experienced friends mind you, I can defo understand people giving up. The game simply doesn't have enough systems in place to teach you all the niché mechanics and all the features you kind of NEED to learn when playing. Shame too, cause when Tarkov runs at all cylinders, it is an experience unlike any FPS game I've ever played and I've played damn near all of em.

I just started playing tarkov this wipe and i got to say, its downright awful when i cant even penetrate the majority of the pmcs armor at all and I can get 1 tapped through my armor. It gave me a really good opportunity to get some much needed map knowledge and some target practice before i come back to online next wipe. Took me two weeks to get to level 5 online because 85% of my raids ended one tapped in the face from fully kitted up pmcs.

So apparently in the Reddit q&a Nikita said there is gonna be a tutorial map of sorts that's only PVE and it'll be exclusive to any PMC under level 10 and you'll be closed off from it after level 10. Definitely not SPT, but it is a start

Im glad I discovered SPT because of your video, because it allows me to play the game casually and enjoy it, before I wouldnt even play the game because I was afraid of dying to high tier players and loosing all my gear, but now I can actually play the game for fun and enjoy it.

I was unware of SPT until today but now I gotta say their hate of this mod makes more sense now with the Unheard Edition they must have been planning that ultimate fuck up for quite a while

I never understood why they are so agressivly against SinglePlayer or Co-Op. I fully agree that there is no downside to it. Maybe they are afraid when the cool boys loose their cannon fooder they get angry. I stopped playing Tarkov because as you say it isn't a game for casual play and it often felt simply frustrating as everyone was pretty much decked out like hell. Singleplayer kept me playing for quite a while and it would get me playing tarkov again. CoOp would even draw in many of my friends as buyers. It's sad they still dont see this, or maybe just the one guy at BSG, who seems a bit like a fanatic anyway.

I've played SPT and enjoyed it a lot. I used it after not playing for a long time, to help me learn all the new aspects of the game like missions, map extensions, quests and to learn all the new items they had added, considering when I played properly a long time ago, they only had Fort Armor and Paca in the game and 4 maps.

As someone whos played eft since medical animations were added I never played SPT but ive always loved it because current tarkov is just not accessable to people who arent only playing tarkov, or have enough money to throw towards it.

You earned a sub from me. You have explained exactly why I love this mod and why Nikita should embrace it, not shun it. SPT is an out for players who are tired of cheaters, want to actually learn, just do not have the time to sink in hours of their lives into Tarkov, just suck, or in my case all of the above. An easy solution to the whole "More people will play offline" problem is just have the live version get updates first, then those updates come to SPT. All SPT has done is improve the experience for people like me and help Nikita sell more copies of the game. It really boggles my mind that he continues to complain about this.

What a refreshing commentary on a mode that’s much needed (and desired) by the community. I do not own the game but EFT has been on my radar for years. I haven’t gotten the game because of possible latency issues, cheaters, and a steep learning curve that doesn’t fit into my already busy life with work and family. Hope they make SPT a thing.

The earliest form of SPT was called EmuTarkov and was literally made by cheat developers to make cheat development easy. That being said, SPT in its current state is vehemently against cheating in live Tarkov, and takes massive strides to stop pirated accounts from accessing the game, and to prevent people from using their mods in Live Tarkov with their new scripting system that Live Tarkov does not even support

What really peaked my interest in SPT, was the other mods you can get for it. that completely change the economy, and have realistic barters easier for the player.

Bought Tarkov 4 years ago. Coming from Stalker, its style just spoke to me. Turns out my playstyle just doesn't work in a competitive shooter. Discovered SPT last year, didn't mod anything and I had a pretty decent experience, although I do need a hardware upgrade. Solo and coop PvE would be a different experience, but that's why more people would be able to enjoy Tarkov. If Tarkov had coop, I'd play it all day.

Amazing video that was desperately NEEDED. Thank you. My mind has been made up almost 7 months ago. I simply will not go back to the live version until it's playable. SPT has shown me exactly how amazing this game really truly is. It's so good I would literally buy it again just to play it. I would buy it again if needed.

amazing video with amazing quality, great job man. hope bsg comes to agree with the rest of the world.

I stopped playing EFT right around the time me and my friends and brothers couldn't play a SINGLE RAID without encountering cheaters. And the attitude from Battlestate/Nikita was consistently in line with "We see no problem here." Leaves one to wonder. There is absolutely no reason BSG couldn't make an offline only instance of EFT. The same goes for a Coop only PvE environment separate from the competitive PVP side of the game.

I dont feel I am a total potato from tactical point of view and I play shooter games my whole life so I know how to practice aiming. Ive stopped because Ive noticed a pattern that if I took any good armor and decent gun and went into hiding.....some CHAD always found me.....always.....I started literally playing hardcore without knowing it using just armor that can cover me from scavs I found and some flesh bullets or some heavy rounds up my ass.....finally stopped playing as it made no sense becasue Ive ran into players havning no chance or cheaters gunning me down.....I suggest Nikita go and Fhimself with his opinion on SPT

I love SPT. Ive gotten to despising pretty much all forms of pvp so the mod is a fantastic way to get to play a fun game, and even better that I can play it when Im away at work with no service or internet for 2 weeks.

PvP is what makes EFT so fun, it’s is also what ruins the game. People sitting in corners in ways that just don’t make sense. Extract camping. Desync abuse. Non-registrations. And they have to balance the game around cheaters. I love competition, but at this point I’d love a Coop focused Tarkov with good AI that feel like thinking people and not a series of random inputs with laser vision.

@@Longboh1 People have stopped playing pvp as it was intended now everyone camps or abuses desync its literally unplayable even if there is no cheaters on the raid.

I've played EFT since its launch, always struggled and found myself mid-wipe to be slowing down in how much I played cause I could never keep up with the chads of the game which in turn hindered my personal skill progression. I bought a second EFT account and installed SPT on it and played to my hearts content. End result was that it totally help my Live EFT game play so much so that I have the highest level of confidence playing the live version then I have ever had. SPT is without a doubt an asset.

I have wanted to play a single player eft for the longest time. While i do enjoy online, i mainly play by myself, and not as much as i would want. So i am going to check SPT out, it looks like exactly what i have been looking for. I do wish the game would come out with a single player mode.

SPT built into the base game would be so awesome it would help new players to learn how to play the game and it seems like itd be alot chiller than having to deal with cheaters online also if it had two saves like you said whats the issue there i have played the spt mod bc i heard people can be banned for it and im not risking that which kinda sucks i feel like my internet might also have caused some of my deaths aswell and randomly loosing connection to the server sometimes

A single player version of Tarkov sounds incredible, they should make a standalone game or something out of it. In the same vain I think a battlefield-like or arena shooter version of Tarkov with many of the same mechanics and deep customization could be popular.
