@@mpi9328 Yah? Ever had to work 70-80 hours a week on graveyard shifts to make ends meet? And be expected to write a novel on a moment's notice like an English scholar? Or be expected to understand the law as well as the lawyers and judges that you have to interact with? Or be a psychiatrist to hundreds of mentally ill people every year? Or be the one to comfort that young child after their parents died in a car accident from a drunk driver? But you still haven't to keep your cool and be a funny guy with a sense of humor when the person you pulled over for going 60 mph in front of a school makes fun of you for eating donuts? Oh also you have to be a great shot with a gun, James Bond good of course, so you can "shoot the bad guy's gun out of his hand's." And you have to be a paramedic when he is bleeding out because it's actually impossible to shoot the gun out of his hand. Don't forget too you need to be in peak physical shape so you can run down anyone. Now you have to be a martial artist too on a crappy pay and a job where no one longer respects you? My whole point is that society has a lot of unrealistic expectations on officers. They're just human and we should expect more of them but you also have to be reasonable too. If you want to see less use of force incidents, you'll have far better returns if you teach kids how to interact with law enforcement.

@@shrimuyopa8117 I lean on the side of there are a lot of unnecessary deaths in the US at the hands of the police, but your detailed breakdown of all the different expectations is spot on. That is a seriously complex job. I still think we have a long ways to go, but asking police officers to do all this on the side is crazy. Training should be part of paid working time. I think having an armed populace also makes for higher risk situations than in other countries, which also leads to bad outcomes more easily...

My brother served in the TEAMs and everyone of his teammates or superiors that I have met rightfully are proud of what they do. My point is the old guard followed the SEAL Creed "I do not advertise the nature of my work, nor seek recognition for my actions" now it's monetized. Therefore, the old guard who help train new candidates agree on consensus that the modern breed have changed. Take a second to absorb what your criticizing, dont be a pussy about it.

US law enforcement have that too. Depends on where you live and how many other officers are on shift. Half the time towns have mutual agreements between each other to have their police dept help the other police dept’s town. Back up could be 10, 15min out in some areas in the US.

dumbest comment on youtube...the guy with more skill wins, not the angriest guy you ignorant fool. By your logic, Sonny Liston wouldve never lost, Tyson wouldve never lost and Foreman wouldve beat Ali. "The more savage attack"...youre so dumb! If the skill levels are equal, maybe so, but a unskilled, "ferocious" person will get taken apart by a skilled, calm person. Not the brightest, are you?

Disregarding the jokes in the comment section. Fight or flight response is absolutely real and everyong will engage in it if driven there. That is so much of the problem with law enforcement in the US. It's taught to get it to that point. That is not how it should work at all, that does nothing but escalate every situation. Yes, some situations are going to be bad from the beginning. That is a very very small percentile. Officer fears come into that as well. (no reason to denigrate that either, it's a real fear for them, whether it is logical or not) It is. I don't know how to solve police issues either. I do think the biggest thing would be to hire officers based on how they perform with empathy....but that leads to potentially them being swindled. Hired on knowledge of law..........potentially means they wait to long. Hired on instincts..........potentially kill the wrong people. Hired on arrogance..........just don't hire that type. An empathetic officer, given time and a neighborhood can change everything. Everything else is just "cops", and that is always the enemy. (poor neighborhoods across all spectra of skin tones have this opinion) I still don't have a solution, only a personal observation. I wish I had even the basis for a solution. The only thing I can come close to thinking of is a personality profile of officers.....but that wouldn't work either.
