Which is why he told Abraham not to worship porcelain or any objects in deuteronomy but despite any instructions on how to worship statues, the Bible says no idols and that's all you got. Sometimes people get impressed too easily. Cassius was a slave but he was famous causing a revolt against his slave masters and on the contrary and ironically, Muhammad was a slave owner who owned multiple sex slaves from the wars he waged. He had killed multiple slavers, and forced Lincoln to sign the emancipation proclamation earlier than he wanted. Clay was an American hero. His father on the other hand was one of the richest slave owners in all of Kentucky, the moment the slaves went to Clay. They were let free, and sometimes given land and money.

This is just a one statement made by Mohammed Ali. It is not the main reason he changed his religion.

Casius was a name of a white man who risked his life to free black people; a hero. Casius was a common name for a black man where he was from, just that his parents forgot or simply didn't know. I think it was his grandfather who had Casius as a name and where they got it from.

People change religions all the time according to what they believe in and the morals of said religion. Especially when one digs deeper to know more about a religion and find something they disapprove of. This is nothing abnormal and happens more frequently than some may think.

@@flash4901 Sahih Bukhari 3755 Narrated Qais: Bilal said to Abu Bakr, If you have bought me for yourself then keep me (for yourself), but if you have bought me for Allah's Sake, then leave me for Allah's Work. Bilal was asking Abu Bakr to be freed after Muhammad died. It's tradition that he was freed, but the sources don't actually say he was. Surah 33:50 mentions the slaves of war given by Allah Surah 4:24 says you can sleep with those slaves of war even if they're married Surah 4:92 and other places mentions the freeing of a slave as a punishment for a crime committed by his master. Sahih Bukhari 5843, 5433, 4234, 4200 and many many many others speak about the slaves of Muhammad and the Muslims. Even Aisha had a slave. And that's just in bukhari. Slavery is everywhere in the hadith. It's also in the muwatta imam Malik showing early Islamic legal regulations regarding slavery. There's absolutely zero reason to think either the Quran or the sunnah do anything other than endorse slavery

@@AcidAdventurer slaves of war is literally prisoners of war you goofy, every military/government has prisoners of war, and not only prisoners but also make them work, and islamic ethics regarding slaves of war are far better than societies today such as america with guantanamo bay. And bilal was bought and freed by abu bakr al sadeeq, he wasnt freed at the beginning because mecca had strict rules around slaves and they were waiting until mecca was overtaken. Bilal is one of the highest regarded people in islam and you cant even handle that fact. Also, slaves were given rights to leave their contractor in a process known as mukataba, which basically makes it a worker/contractor relationship. and you probably didnt even bother to research what mukataba is. And for the icing on the cake: "The freeing of slaves was regarded as the high-mountain road that led to heights of divine nearness" (Surah Al-Balad, Ch.90: V.13-14). Keep crying in a corner with your academic dishonesty. Reality doesnt care about your feelings.

Tragically enough muslims were the early pioneers of the slave trade(some of it was on overland routes) that was taken over and later expanded upon by the Europeans. Muslims traders in the Swahili coast werent there for the scenary. History isnt always clear cut.

The ones doing the enslaving weren't muslim. Back then, plenty of ppl in the middle east, actually most of them, weren't muslim they believed in like 366 different gods and worshipped statues. The few Muslims among them were the only ones actually FREEING the slaves. It literally says in the Quran that one of the best things you can do with ur money is free slaves (cuz Quran came out in 1400s)

@@tanzeela1308 sold? In trade sense propably youre right but i dont think he ever sold a slave. Because Muhammad did buy a lot of slave. But the different is, he buy the slave to free them. And he also encourage others who follow him to do so. So in a sense, Muhammad propably the first person to do and encourage others to systematicly abandon the slaves trading. There is no other way to make people to leave their custom or norms without force, but he sure start a movement to abandon the slavery without forcing it on everybody.

In Islam, it's prohibited to force the religion to anyone. The only way someone can become a Muslim is when the person accepts it sincerely, purely from the heart without any forms of pressure.

Yeah except when Muhammad (PBUH) died tons of arabs left islam and his successor had to force islam on the arabs again so that the religion doesn't die out, it also happened alot where islam was forced upon people.

I get the message and I respect him a lot. And maybe he didn't know, but the religion he switched from to the new religion isn't all that different. Islam was in the slave trading business in Africa long before the Europeans came over. Kind of Ironic.

You are supposed to accept God yourself in both religions (I assume according to you, admittedly I don’t know much about Islam) but this obviously isn’t always the case. People suck, all shades, ethnicities and religions can suck. People suck but increasingly, it’s mostly white and or Christians who get blamed for all the wrong doing. I agree, a ton of them suck but I also don’t understand the overly demonization in recent years. Remember back then Christianity was a way for the pope and his people to control the population. Also you have the heretic hunts where non Christians would be killed and tortured. Christians have a dark history and the things they did in the middle ages were horrible. If you really look at it with care you'll find Islam to be the least non violent religion. Even less violent than Buddhists

He rejected Christ. He was bitter all his life blaming whites for any misfortune.

The irony is the both Mohammed and his nephew Ali kept black slaves that they castrated (Christians didnt go that far) and who viewed blacks as only being worth half of an Arab. Contrast this with Cassius Clay who spent his entire life fighting for the liberty of African americans, and treated his slaves as equals and gave them land when it was legal for them to own it. So he joined a religion and took the name of someone who was worse to blacks than the Americans, and got rid of the name of a pro black freedom fighter who was of a faith that teaches NEVER FORCE THIS RELIGION ON ANYONE. Just cause the pope doesnt follow the teachings of Jesus doesnt make the teachings of Jesus bad

@@firelightgamer3964 i don't know you to judge but i know many non Muslim people who are contributing to humanity in every shape and form, in the other hand, i know more than example of Muslims taking innocent people's lives to serve their allah through history, islam is a blooded religion since it's creation,. correct me if I'm wrong, again I'm not talking about you personally cuz i don't know you, but i know some facts about the religion that you follow

@@izemamnon I agree Islam is a blooded religion but people who take only innocent peoples lives aren't Muslims they will be put in the depths of hell all these terrorists who are Muslim think that they are serving Allah but no they are just making their life in hell much more painful And yeah Islam has been part of many wars and won many of them Muslims are allowed to fight back with enemies

I sure his conversion story must be much more greater than this.

Most definitely true, slaves were given American names so I understand why Ali didn’t want a Slave Name

Too bad he didn’t read his history. Because it was the Muslims in north Africa that captured blacks and told them to Europeans as slaves. But of course that part is left out
