Technically speaking, mash was very limited in the final fight, if you look at his wrists, he still had the restrictions on them, so the version analyzed in this video is a suppressed version of the suppressed version (Heartless and without using any mode)

I don’t think it’s hard to believe in Planetary Lucifero. I’m just saying it’s less likely, than planetary innocent zero. And while Dorothy’s Glamour World does create things. We have absolutely zero idea how big the “moons” in that space were. You could very easily argue that they are just country sized rocks- or smaller. Since anything higher? Is a pretty extreme outlier, relative to what the series gives us. At least IMO.

@@TUCKALMIGHTY the arguments for innocent zero are pretty strong I agree with that. When reading the black clover manga it’s easy to tell they are more of a AP verse than dc. The salamander feat alone is calced to multi continental and that gets surpassed by Ladaros around episode 60ish which is way before the elf arc. Not to mention we get confirmation that not only does Dorothy/Reves dimension scale to infinite in size and we get confirmation from Sally that what they create in Glamour world is the real deal making them most likely to be the size of actual moons. Then we have Dante’s gravity singularity which has been calced to have enough gravity to be dwarf star, adding this with how much power cliffing is in the Black Clover series it’s safe to say Lucifero should be planetary at the least including the 3 separate statements he has for being planetary. I haven’t finished mashle yet so I don’t know how many abilities mash even has however, you’ve left out a ton of Asta’s abilities that completely shift the battle. Fate manipulation, time manipulation, resistance to time and space manipulation, precognition, power nullification, durability negation, reactive power level, and I haven’t even mentioned his causality manipulation with Causality break. I just find Asta to have a few more win cons.

Mashle is on an entire league of his own when he's able to just brute force through a bootleg Meliodas's Full counter Literally tanking his own damage and eventually hit so hard he broke the entity that was trying to bend his own power back at him

I found your channel today cause i was looking up mash scaling. I first watched mash vs toji. Then naruto v ichigo. I started watching aang and then came to this. Ill go finish the aang vid now but i really like your vs match up videos. I also like that based on how you did mash vs toji i was able to accurately guess who youd say would take asta vs mash. I like what feels like internal consistency within your understanding of the characters. Even more so when sometimes i dont agree with the outcome but agree with your outcome based on how you presented the info.

I definitely should’ve mentioned it, since the movie does have a few interesting feats. But honestly, it doesn’t really change Asta’s scaling too wildly. Since Conrad isn’t stronger than Lucifero, and Asta’s amp in the movie makes it hard to quantify how he scales to the manga with multipliers.

@@TUCKALMIGHTY there is some important factors you did indeed miss is that lucifero wasn't just planetary as a much weaker character known as Dante zogratis at only 80% devil power created a black hole which was calculated at nearly 5x baseline planetary and then he would gain a 20% boost which is a 20x mulipler added onto the 80x muliplter now the other zogratis siblings are nearly as strong as him so it would be reasonable to scale them together at at least 13x to 15x planetary together now this wouldn't scale asta above the mash calc you did but this is where it does where the god of curses megicula(she is a woman btw) she performs a feat that makes her 100x stronger then the entire dark triad who would be 13 to 15x planetary but lets go with only 14 times as a middle part getting 832.16 zettatons now x100 gives me 83,216 zettatons or 8.3216 yottatons which is large planetary now lucifero himself even tho it was only 50% his physical str and magical power he should be at least 2x stronger then this in base making his ap and dura to 16.6432 yottatons which is dawrf star lvl now i don't know how much devil power increases for him compared to the dark triad but ima go with the percentage normally meaning 50% is just 50% (probably might be the later but ima just use this) and since you used 100% to scale asta since its half his physical and magic power he should be around 4x stronger then his base making his ap and dura around 66.5728 yottatons which is still dawrf star lvl but higher and lucifero is a supreme devil now domnatio was stronger then paladin lily who was as strong as a supreme devil so him being able to one shot domnatio should make him at least 7x stronger then him making asta ap and dura at 466 yottatons getting him closer to the middle ground for dawrf star lvl

This is an extremely well put together video! That last line especially sld me on your verdict. Asta's other best matchup against Meliodas is just a guy with magic vs a slightly stronger guy with magic eraser. But Mash is just kinda a goofy little guy, who does goofy little things, leaving Asta nothing to really effectively counter. It's a bit like pitting Asta up against Deku if he didn't sadly stat stomp I can say this much though, Asta likely still has experience with him, having fought and trained for a longer time. I don't think saying the fight isn't close is correct, as Asta still has a few more avenues to take a victory on his own. I think you should have went a bit more in-depth on Mash's powerset to seal the deal (Which I did after watching this video) That being said, the matchup is still a little bit up in the air for me with me leaning slightly more towards Asta, but Mash likely does take it. Again, great video, I'll look forwards to more.

The mashed manga has got to be one of the hypest mangas I’ve read

Honestly, Asta's biggest weakness here isn't the fact that Mash can survive without his organs. Asta could do some massive damage inspite of that. The problem is that Asta is a SERIOUS shounen protagonist with some comedy. Mash is a gag character, who regularly fights seriously characters and just trolls the fuck out of them. For that reason alone, Asta will never win. But also, they'd instantly be best friends. And Mash might actually fall for Charmy, 'cause I have 0 doubt that girls sheep could make some killer cream puffs. o,,o

feel like gun devil would win as devils can regen limbs(sukuna's main attacks are cutting) and can kill 1.2 million people in 5 minutes, with 57912 in 26 seconds in Japan, compared to 1000 in 299 for gojo, which makes the gun devil over 700 times faster than gojo, who put up a good fight against sukuna.

He wasn't capping, all of the divine visionaries were working together to nerf the attack- so that it didn't nuke the planet. So if Mash fought innocent zero alone, he probably would've either totally deleted the planet. Or Mash would've had to stop the attack himself, somehow.

Not to mention where will Innocent Zero go if the planet is gone ? This isn't star wars, as far as they know it's the only planet with life. With Lucifero you can say he will destroy the planet because he can just go back to hell. But Innocent Zero not really. Asta has a on screen feat of cutting a Meteor which is calced to Multi continental. And that was mid timeskip. After all the multipliers he is easily in Moon to small planet level. Not to mention the abysmal speed Gap. Innocent Zero in his "God Form" was having trouble with Margert who was moving at the speed of sound and explicitly has the reaction time of 0.1 seconds. Even in terms of Raw strength Asta hit a asteroid so hard that he killed it's momentum. Again mid time skip

@Agent47 You can definitely argue the attack as Multi-Continental, although that sort of logic would remain true for any statements made in Black Clover as well. As for narrative implications? Innocent Zero was openly done with life, and prepared to throw everything at Mash- because he had reversed the timeline potentially hundreds of attempts over? Yet could never defeat Mash on his own, in any reality. So it would make sense for him to just say screw it, and destroy the world at that point. Asta's meteor calc is using an amped form, and is in a movie with debatable canonicity. As for the speed gap? It's stated on screen that Levis, is Mach 7. With Levis being fodder, to Domina, and Domina being fodder to Doom (by thousands of times over)-- with Innocent Zero folding all of them easily. Using Margert to lowball Mashle's speed, is similar to saying Black Clover can't be FTL. Since light magic is faster than Julius, who was strong in the verse. As for the Deku video, we made it months ago. I just didn't want to wait a whole year to cover the topic, when we had other Deku videos planned for the end of MHA.

@@TUCKALMIGHTY I am using that logic for Black clover. I don't scale it to planet level from Lucifero's statement because again too ambiguous. But the meteor feat gets it there anyway. The movie is canon but standalone. Like MHA movies. It did happen but it doesn't affect the main story and is never mentioned in it. We see Asta dodge light in sleep. And unlike Mashle, magic in Black clover doesn't follow the rules of physics. You have black light magic that somehow makes it faster. Plus Julius was winning that fight until Patri made him use up everything. Levis still blasts Innocent Zero's head off. Light is 800,000 times faster than sound and Yuno blocked thousands of light rays at once being calced at 430+ times light speed. So even if Innocent Zero was a 100,000 times faster than Margert, he would still be 3.7 million times slower than Yuno.

This is surprisingly your best video yet... The scaling and everything was so grounded into the CONTEXT... And story... Very good video... The part about the world thing that you corrected for Black Clover is very true... People always forget that except there is showings and feats to back up a statement, the statement is just a statement, plus Devils do not plan on destroying the planet, but rather destroying human lives and ruling over them.... But people just take it at face value and say Lucifero is Planetary. Good video... Will watch some more later.

I think the Planetary Lucifero line of scaling is pretty bad since it's just a statement. If you're gonna go that route, just scale Asta to moon-universal via Dorothy's Glamour World. Everything she creates in there is the real thing, and we've seen moons and stars. Not to mention her space is infinite, confirmed by Reve, who corrected Magna dismissing Luck's assumption that it is infinite. Asta scales much higher than Reve, Dorothy, and Yami (the one who destroyed Glamour World originally).

Can you do these BLEACH vs BC matchups analysis? 1. 26 Sternritter vs 7 Paladins 2. Aizen + Yhwach vs Lucius+ Lucifero 3. Five War Potentials vs Five Devils (Lucifero, Megicula, Liith, Nahamah, Zagred)

Beings that control time and space are different than beings that embody those domains. One had to learn to control them, while the other does it just like breathing. So there's a difference in power with those that slayed such beings.

I would've appreciated if you also added AP as the scalings.Mash currently haven't really shown able to destroy dimensions and yet asta can do this with a simple dimension slash plus with zetten he can just disintegrate his target tk pieces.Not saying mash can't handle it but his endurance is equal to his strength and his yet to shown feats of destroying dimensions

This is literally the 1st time I've seen anything related to Mash, I'm a big BC fan and after watching the video and learning what Asta is up against; Mash clearly takes it. Nice video though was very informative.

lucifero without the statements still scale to planetary via dantes singularity and megicula. Theres no reason for them to stay at moon level since the elf arc, Its like saying no progress has been done

A lot of people don't care for the type of scaling that black clover does which is linear scaling this character is stronger than the last character because not only are they fighting a stronger main character than the one that the other guy fought but they're also showcasing a lot more power versatility that the main character can't deal with these are the same people that have an issue if you assume that every character is light speed that shows up in these fights because 15 other characters have been stated but that doesn't mean all the other characters are fight alongside them are that fast which physically does not work I couldn't keep up in a fight if I wasn't relative to the person that I'm fighting

I also like how Mash still holds back because he actually isn't even trying to kill throughout the entire story, so even with his limiters off we haven't seen him at his FULL fighting potential. But I feel like you forgot to mention Mash's crazy adaption, it's a power in its own right I'd say.

Also the last point saying mash is a terrible match up for asta doesn’t make much sense since it isn’t like anti magic neggs magic.

This isn’t entirely true. Asta’s anti magic can negate any spell. It just can’t negate the force of spells. The only time the actually amount of Anti-Magic matters. (Which is referred to in the Viz translation as “Anti-Magic Power”) Would be when Asta is amping his stats through things such as TDU or the OG Black form. But TL;DR? As long as Liebe coats Asta in Anti-Magic, he’s effectively immune to any Hax/abilities- and is only effected by their raw AP. At least as far as I know.

I agree with the results off this video. But I did want to bring up that Anti-Magic doesn't JUST work on Magic. It's true that in the beginning Asta couldn't harm non-magical objects and what not. But as he trained he figured out how to. For instance, one of the panels you showed from Black Clover is Asta's Anti-Magic Zetten essentially disintigrating a stalk of bamboo. Now that's just the most obviously example. But you get what I mean.

I should've probably been a bit more specific, by saying that Asta's Anti-Magic doesn't do anything special- against non magic users. Anti-Magic zetten for example, is just a powerful wave of force against physical objects. So Asta can cut bamboo into atoms with his raw power-- but it's not exactly a hax ability? As opposed to just raw force. It's also never really stated, or implied that this limitation changed from earlier in the series? Where we are directly told, it only works against magic.

I came here as an anime only and since we'd JUST finished a fight where Mash was confirmed (slightly) slower than SOUND I thought this was going to be a very, VERY different video.

Why didn't you bring up glamour world? Its one of the biggest feats out there stated to be infinite sized realm thats universal and pre time skip yami cut through it thats means yamis attack had to move an infinite distance in an insant to be able to do such a feat and if i remember right it was aimed at dorothy and she somewhat reacted to it and saw it comming now thats a little to high ball but a feat either way, pre time skip asta was dodging light and asta devil union is at least MFTL+ and universal level as yami was shown to be able to cut an infinite sized realm and asta is stronger and has better hax, dorothy got destroyed by the curse devil which is weaker then lucifero which asta beat and the lucifero statement about being able to destroy the world at a 100% needs to be taken serious, he has the hax and power to do it, gravity manipulation is strong and that 1/100 slow down feat is nothing as asta is MFTL+ or you can say light speed for a low ball and thats still 2 million m/s , just dont see how mash does it, asta out speeds him by a lot and asta combining ki with his own style of dimensional slash which is do able as his ki works on everything so i dont see mash doing it

Slow down time to 1/100 buddy that's, if what is stated is true he should have killed mash before he was born, paradox is in existence and if he is above it, he shouldn't be affected by it

@@FranceOnTop Dorothy dream world is a different realm and even if you say it's not infinite yami was able to cut it, meaning his move still cuts dimensions, Dorothy got curved stomped by curse devil who is weaker then lucifero who mind you can create black holes as shown when yami fought Dante as dante had tbe gravity manipulation given by Lucifero but even that dante who made a black hole would not stand a chance against Lucifero

I am so tempted to break down literally everything you got wrong for Asta and Mash, cause honestly, you downplayed them both dramatically, Asta to an absolutely egregious level, there is a clear bias for Mash in this bideo, but you still somehow got even his power break down wrong in places. You say ‘Context is king’, then immediately ignored the fact that Asta scales far above several beings in his own series that scale to low and high universal, not to mention that your argument that Asta’s anti magic would be useless is baseless and shows a clear lack of understanding for the source material or the context in it, and that’s not even touching on the fact that you outright left out the fact that Asta is basically clairvoyant and a much smarter fighter than Mash. Though I do say that in terms of durability Mash still takes it, that’s not even a question, but strength and speed are stats that Asta can close the gap on by just using his Anti magic to pump himself up like a mage does with Mana Skin cause, get this, HE HAS HIS OWN INNATE ANTIMAGIC NOW! He doesn’t need to even have his swords to do it anymore. You’re making a fight that has a lot of layers of nuance and just saying that one is stronger than the other without contextualizing power ups in the least.

@sarav1124 He sort of did, but he used precognition (predicting it) to basically aim dodge the attack. We know Yami & Julius were both stated slower than Patri’s light. So BoS Asta is also quite a bit slower as well. He’s definitely FTL by the timeskip though!

how could they be slower than patri's light if both of them dodged it countless times and parried it countless times in their fights and asta literally dodged a light ray from gauche reflexively while asleep after that he learns ki and starts reacting to and dodging patri too. Also the magics dont even have a set speed. The patri who fought Yami was much weaker in all aspects than the one who fought Julius. That patri is also much weaker than the one who fought asta and yuno later. His magic from his first appearance is minimum light speed. Also for the whole lucifero part. If u actually watched or read black clover u would know a 1% increase in devil power is exponential. Vanica was at 50% and noelle was doing fine, she went up to 51% and noelle started losing by a good margin. Asta fought at beat lucifero who only had 50% power and no grimoire which would buff him even more than just having 100%. Lucius has 100% of lucifero's power, blood, soul, mind, body magic, time magic, gravity magic etc. He also conquered all of hell which is at the minimum Universal in size. In base asta after time skip managed to fight against him before learning zettan. Just ts base asta is vastly strong than him in tdu vs lucifero. You are lowballing asta like crazy the bias is insane. Buddy is a yappaholic. Also about mash vs innoccent zero the god literally had to lend mash power, revive him from the dead after getting folded and train him for a entire year for him to win. He was not winning without a handout. Also he didnt even survive without a heart like you said he died, god revived him and they gave his body a magically made artificial heart so he could get up and fight. @@TUCKALMIGHTY

Saying "x character is 10x(or any other made up mulitplier) faster than y, y is 99% the speed of light therefore x is ftl" is completely wrong and wilfully ignoring special relativity.

you under scaling asta my guy. just black asta one shotted ladros who absorbed salamander who was said to capable of vaporizig an entire ocean with just a swing of its talons and that alone puts him continental to multi-continental ap and that was just the first time asta awakened to his black asta.

The salamander calc is severely blown out of proportion most of the time. The original scan says “The fire dragon's breath burns everything down, a blow with its claws brings the sea to dry out!…” Because this feat never happens on screen? We have no metrics to determine what time frame this takes place in- or how big the sea was. The most common interpretations of this calc. Assume that the entire sea is vaporized, as well as assuming that the sea is relatively large (as opposed to something smaller like the Baltic Sea) So IMO? If you ignore the idea that this databook could just be hyperbole. The feat can range anywhere from Small Country Level, to Multi-Continental. Making it pretty inconsistent to use. In comparison to Lucifero’s more blatant planet busting/life wiping stuff. Hope that explained my thoughts on it, thanks for the comment!

I sort of agree? Since Mash does come from a more comedic series. But similar to OPM, Mash does have some pretty clear limits. As well as a very clear storyline, and likable side cast. So I’d consider him more along the lines of a parody character then a gag character personally.

Saitama isn't currently infinite in power. It's never stated that he does. Saitama DOES however, have infinite potential. As the manga makes it clear, that anyone who removes their limiters (such as Garou or Saitama) are granted infinite potential. With Saitama outright saying he had to use his "full power" against Garou (which obviously implies his power has a current maximum.) Mash is not Saitama level. But they are very similar, in regards to how their powers progress. As both seem to effectively have zero limits on their physical growth.

First of even if you wanted to go off by saying that Saitama went full power, Saitama then says afterwards that he only needs one hand to beat garou, implying that he doesn't have to go all out. If Saitama truly meant what he said then why would he deliberately give himself the disadvantage? And keep in mind garou literally has way better martial arts than Saitama, and yet Saitama is the one who not only uses one hand but STILL manages to beat garou. Secondly, as I've stated earlier, The official OPM website which is canon literally puts the infinity symbol on his strength, clearly proving that his strength is infinite. Even if you wanted to say Saitama went "full power" that in of itself doesn't debunk Saitama having infinite strength especially if a canon source confirms it. And also don't try bothering to bring up the graph, that doesn't contradict Saitama having infinite strength either, since the graph is the mathematical equation e^infinity which by definition is infinite and boundless, which is consistent with the whole narrative of OPM. Saitama has no limits and was never meant to have limits like other shonen, and it's clear from the show and anime.

No offense (which i know is a waste of time but I don't wanna be that guy) Black clover Get's MASSIVELY underscaled. Most Black clover characters scale as massively stronger than universal. Glamor world is infinitely big and yami cuts it in one slash, this same yami is nothing in comparison to current asta. In short Asta has at minimum universal+ scaling and while I'm not hugely familiar with mash I don't think he has that level of strength. Correct me if im wrong

I think its funny how a lot of these matchups are putting a character with deep writing, context and a reasonable amount of plausible deniability, against a character from a series that will just flat out bend its own rules to make the character indestructible. Its the same with the argument who would win between Sitama and Popeye, or Deadpool and the mask. If you put someone who has to play by the rules of reality against someone who doesn't then the answer will always be clear.

Innocent Zero literally traveled to multiple timelines, and he was always beaten by Mash no matter what. Mash is like canon event itself.

Don't know if u have already watched it but definitely need to check out Broku's Videos for asta Also, How can Mashle Fly? Because that thing he did with the Broom is Nothing compared to Actually Flying which Asta can

I've definitely seen a few of Broku's vids in the past. His scales of Asta are definitely interesting, although definitely on the more charitable, calc stacking side- as opposed to the more condensed view we gave here. And Mash can fly by kicking his legs at Mach speeds, generating large amounts of lift/downward thrust. It's more akin to walking on air, but functionally? It's just as useful to him as prolonged flying, since he can keep it up indefinitely from the start of his series onwards. Hope that answered your question!

@@TUCKALMIGHTY didn't know he can reach Mach speeds with that but does he have Proper Control to Fly Freely Like asta can on his Sword ? or Yuno? Or is it just a technicality as if to say "Well, Technically ! he CAN Fly" And yea I don't necessarily Fully Agree with Broku's Highballs Either but just wanted to acknowledge some his Stuff the Extent to which I Agree is BC being somewhat Large or Multi planetary At Most
