Actually we do have a vague origin for Kaiju. In the ocean there is a fault that leaks some kind of energy that produces the Kaiju. Granted you wouldn’t know about the energy part at the time of this video but the fault was established all the way back in the sagamihara neutralization operation chapters of the manga.

Really liked the video. One thing, in the Kaiju no. 8 manga, when Kafka loses control against Shinomiya and goes feral, he begins to grow as the fight goes on. This kind of implies to me, that we haven't seen Kafka's final form yet, and it is absolutely possible he has a 50 feet tall Godzilla form up his sleeve. Kafka's body is very versatile, he can grow rockets from his elbows, stabilizers from his legs, so it's pretty hard to say, where his limits are.

This is 100% true. Kaiju no 8 will probably be revealed, to have some insane powers during the endgame of the story. Since we somehow, still don't even know how he exists- nor the lore of his previous hosts (like the shadow samurai guy). So, I'd say Kafka definitely has a lot of potential to grow. Especially with the anime hyping up the series even more now.

​@@nutcruncherIt is a big question. My best theory is the bug knew about no.9. Either at that time or later no. 9 infiltrated the Kaiju Sweepers to get a better look at how the Kajiu it created faired and could be improved. The bug that makes no. 8 might have known, and for some reason saw Kafka as the best host available. It expected for him to meet no.9 soon as a fellow sweeper. I also forget if Kafka's very low unleashed power was due to being no.8 or not. If it was not that may have been what the bug was looking for. Also, no.8 seems to want other kaiju dead. Kafka only lost control when against the no.2 weapon when he did not want to fight it, but the bug did.

I love how the more optimistic manga protag (So far) Beats the Nihilistic one.

Diavolo is infinitely sent to different scenarios where he is on the verge of death, but right before being released by death he's sent to another scenario. Don’t know which you haven’t seen. But it basically boils down to a titan doesn’t have the durability to take kaiju attacks. While the kaiju can take anything eren can throw at him. Think giant antman vs the hulk.

Kaiju No 8 definitely doesn't have as deep of a story as aot and is more focused on action and comedy. I'd say it is a bit similar to to One Punch Man, from what I remember

Heres the thing about "The curse of ymir" The curse was destroyed when Eren took over the founder making ymir under his control. He could extend his life past that 13 year range.

if that's true, then why did he not just Conquer the whole world with his power, Become eternal emperor of the world and enforce eternal peace ? He does not really have to kill entire populations, just destroy their armies to a degree and scare all the others into surrendering, he does have the power and knowledge for it... Because he could not extend his life past 13 year range and thus did not have time for complex time consuming solutions and therefor the curse of ymir cannot be undone like that

These types pf match ups never make sense against attack on titan since AOT isn't really a typical shonen, its barely a shonen to be honest so it doesn't have those crazy power ups that most shonen anime rely on, the titans are just a means of telling the story.

If I remember correctly, when Kafka dodged a point-blank sonic boom, he wasn’t even fully transformed yet. He is far faster and stronger when fully transformed than he is when partially transformed.

He is, we just didn’t need to really go into it. Being able to blitz mach 1 characters is enough to confidently solo most of AOT, IMO.

Another person I think we can add into the mix is Denji from Chainsaw Man, he joined a Devil-hunting agency working for a Demon, and working with a man that made a deal with a demon and a fiend that’s close to a Demon, all while having Devil powers as well, he helped a former Devil regain its health by offering his blood and in return, the Devil became his heart after Denji got chopped up, Denji continued on, slaying Devils, fiends and anything else in between all while using the gifts of the Hero of Hell, I personally think Denji would fit in well with this mashup.

There is one thing you missed for Eren. If he wants to use the founder's powers and alter himself as he wishes like you said, he needs to be in contact with a royal's blood. If you're taking him and Kaiju no 8 he wont have access to the founder's powers at all. It would be War hammer and Attack titan at most, and him having foresight is STILL taking in an assumption he already touched royal blood before the battle at this point.

That first scene in season 1 of Kaiju end this discussion

You also for got to mention a plethora of abilities other Kaiju have been shown to manifest. Including the ability of the very first recorded identified class Kaiju, No. 1 who had the ability to predict the future. Or No. 2 the strongest recorded Kaiju before Kafka. Then you got ones like No. 6 who could freeze things as fast as if not faster than liquid nitrogen.

I brought this up to my friend when he punched a kaiju at the start of volume 2 and it's body just unraveled

recently just read the whole manga of kaiju no. 8 cuz i got tired of waiting for the next anime episode, and i can say, kafka slams.

Without looking at Kaiju No. 8 spoilers (other than a brief mention of the wiki for #'d Kaiju vs. in-verwe scaling). So, my head goes to today's episode to answer this. The defense force's tech is heavy enough that kafka can barely life the barrel off the ground at 0% output but everyone else, with 8% being the lowest, can easily truck around with them. Not to mention, at higher % output (40%~) they can literally blow up small Kaiju with their bullets, when the 15% can only kill them by aiming for weak points... Considering No.8 is a numbered Kaiju, which are known (according to the wiki) to need captains to be taken down in prolonged battles, and a platoon leader is around 40% (as stated in today's episode), this means Kafka is probably a LOT sturdier than Eren, even with titan hardening. I dont think Eren could hurt Kafka, much less tank more than 1 of his blows considering he blew a Kaiju on episode 2 away with a single punch, blowing it up. I think that Kaiju was even around 8 meters (higher or lower) in size, which means that even without being able to completely destroy his titan, he could easily destroy a whole arm in one blow... Then there's... The end of AoT. Pretty big, but didnt do much fighting. That's just an endurance battle, and i still think Kafka would win purely off the defense difference, even with the numerous titans.

Cause I got that implication at first as well, but then Eren kidnapped Zeke when he went full Founder mode, and I can't think of any reason to do this other than to keep in contact with royal blood, and without a good reason I don't see Eren keeping someone trapped, ie without freedom.

I have seen one clip of kafka like 2 second where he one tapped a monster then when i had a feeling says kafka is one of those Absurdly op protagonists who just one taps anything in his way and guess am right

While I think Kafka does win this, what if by using the warhammer ability Eren somehow breaks the core? (Not far into the series so don’t blaze me for a lack of knowledge)

No worries! I definitely think Eren could pull something like this off, given the right scenario. But the big problems he would have, are speed and attack power. Because of how fast Kafka is? He could likely dodge attacks from the war hammer, even more effectively than characters like Mikasa or Levi (since he’s far stronger) And of course, if Kafka’s core wasn’t already previously exposed? Eren would likely struggle to pierce his skin- due to its raw durability. Hope that answers your question, thanks for the comment!

some kaiju tend to break physics, kaiju no14 is capable of creating a PORTAL within its body, so considering one of kafka`s abilities manifests as a form of energy that apears like lightning, it wouldnt be too much of a stretch to assume he could some pretty hax things too, unrelated franchise wise, cole mcgrath from the infamous series is a capable lightning user, whose possible future self TIME TRAVELLED using lightning, so it could be possible for kafka to just throw enough sheer energy at the laws of physics to tell them to fuck off temporarily.

This is actually a pretty interesting question, since I have a pretty weird American accent. But I've always pronounced it "Nucular" instead of "Nuclear" Because it's a regional dialect, revolving around the phonetics of other more familiar words, like particular, circular, spectacular (or even other scientific words like molecular, ocular, and vascular) which use this "-ar" ending. If you combine that, with it's usage in pop culture during the late 1980's, then I'd say it sort of makes sense. In a similar way, to a lot of other short hand or region specific phrases. That's just my opinion though, hope it helps!

Kafka most like wins but AOT does hold a special place in my heart so I think Eren at the very least won’t make it easy.

For the easiest scaling for #8 is scaling based of narumi.The first time we see narumi in action,he was to one shot a godzilla sized titan in which can easily make him mounting or island level.#8 should be around narumi's level or even higher considering he knows stand toe to toe with #9 in which narumi struggle a LOT fighting #11 who is weaker than #9

In kaiju no 8 they have similar/stronger to titans kaiju's norlally pulling up almost every day, and just no one cares, only inconviniance is for them that they have to clean it up

Foes vide my only jab is talking about no.8's weakness being having a different shape heart lol. He didn't gain a weakness, it's the same one he already had but now it's alot harder to destroy than a normal heart. Not sure dude has any weakness

This is why you only hear the name of the manga pronounced Kaiju NUMBER 8.

It’s honestly kinda funny how weak the Titan verse is when compared to most of Shonen protags. Most protags utterly demolish them with relatively low effort.
