Because in the end ,that's why women marry men !! Financial security and social status!!! Love in a women's concept is how the man can facilitate her up market lifestyle. Romantic love is what men seek . Women just want the coin!! How many successful business men who find a young trophy wife then propose a pre - nup and the wife is agreeable and compliant NEVER !! I’m married 11 years and I love it so, so much. We have 3 kids and one on the way. I stay at home and keep the cleanest house in the neighborhood hands down. I cook family dinner every night. I homeschool our kids. I keep a garden. My husband makes a great income that allows me to stay home. But for the first 6 years of marriage he was building his career and money was tight. I still stayed home and budgeted and raised kids. We’re Mormon so we were well “trained” for home and family life. Both virgins when we got married. All our major moments: triumphs and struggles, have been together. I am absolutely crazy about my husband. He is so handsome, kind, thoughtful, admirable, moral, a great father, a wonderful husband. I have never known bliss like this marriage and family life. I wouldn’t choose any career over this. I wouldn’t choose ANY man over the one I’ve got. I have “everything” in the sense that this family is worth the sacrifices, worth giving up selfish things for, worth more than any other endeavor.

Never enter a contract where 1 side gets paid to break it. A woman knows her currency and the power of her P is so strong that I would say that a man would easily forget 75% of the knowledge they gain from these types of channels and fall back into old habits. Not getting married has to be one of those things within that 25% you retain as she's giving you the "best" head of your life and begins breaking you down as a man.

I see the protection for myself in being married to such a great person and I believe my husband feels the same. I remember after I gave birth to our daughter I felt incredibly vulnerable. Yes your husband has to show up and own his responsibilities to have a chance, but if you chose to go your way, the law allows you take regardless of how good your man is and preforms and that’s the problem. Good for you!! Maybe one day most women will wake up and realize what they have been and are losing. Background- I am divorced 20 yrs (10 yrs married) with 2 wonderful 25/28 yr old grown kids. Family law (Child support and divorce) are still back in 40's when 1 income was enough. When the man made the money, the women raised the kids and the household. That's gone, yet men are still required to provide after ties are severed. The mom could be on drugs, on welfare...she gets the kid, the guy has to pay her regardless of how much he has them. I get my daughter 60% of the time...yet I still have to pay the mom and I provide my daughter with insurance. Every time I get a raise, they redo the order and give her more money. A wife can cheat, never have worked, yet after divorce....she gets the house, the car, the kid, half the money and a monthly check from his earnings. Makes no sense.

There's only one way to fix marriage - get the state out of the affairs of men and women. In fact, get rid of the state altogether. Marriage is always going to be appealing to a woman, because of divorce. If a woman is getting married to you, knowing that there's no financial incentive to do so, then it probably means she actually cares for you and wants to have a family and a loving one at that. It's actually a great test.

I agree that divorce tends to benefit the woman more than the man, so there is more risk to the man. I agree that it should be made more fair. The money should be split based on the income they each earned, unless there was a stay at home mom situation. As far as custody - I'm inclined to say let the kids chose. If they're too young to talk then keep the parents in the same town, split custody 50-50 until they start going to school. If you both live in the same district keep it 50-50. Kids need both parents. If this were more common there would be no need for child support because neither of you have the child(ren) more than the other.

@@justincox8658 The reason I say a stay at home mom should get more than her share is because there is a value to having your wife stay with the kids. Daycare is expensive, plus she'll be saving you on gas from commuting every day, maybe even on groceries if she likes to garden. Cooking, cleaning, and yardwork all have value if she does those things too. So when I said split it based on incomes, if you don't call staying at home with the kids work, then you'd effectively be leaving her with nothing even though she provided value to the arrangement. That doesn't mean a 50/50 split but she deserves something.

Marriage is essentially a teamwork, much like working a crew or a team in the workplace. And just like in the workplace, if the tasks and responsibilities aren't placed on anyone, but are up for grabs, everybody expects everyone else to grab it. And if everyone wants to be the team-lead, there ain't gonna be anything done. This is why we have roles in the workplace, for different people to be responsible for different things. Marriage is no different - we need gender roles to keep the sh*t together. Once you start arguing about tasks it's pretty much game over.

The first two years sucked where money was concerned, but 5 years in things are going very well and there is no effective ceiling for growth. Far more demand than I myself would ever want to try and supply. So those STEM fields may pay well...but they are not a good match for everyone. And there are plenty of fields to work in that pay well. I think that the problem is that it's hard for people to FIND them. People just....go to work. And unless you bump into someone who can turn you onto a particular field to even CONSIDER it...you effectively don't know it exists. It DOESN'T exist..."for you". People trip and fall into teaching jobs and social work jobs because they are so visible. Everyone knows about them. Not everyone knows about working as sonogram technician or petroleum engineer. You might be able to make good money if you learn how to spray fiberglass and get a job at a fiberglass boat factory. But there are no college courses on how to spray fiberglass. And there are no apprenticeship programs on it either. You need to "know someone" that brings you into an existing shop and puts a spray gun in your hand. Or how about aircraft or yacht manufacturing. You don't need a degree to work building monster yachts or turboprop planes for rich people...but unless someone brings you in....you don't know those jobs exist. I work in architectural photography. 6 years ago I was unaware that that was even a thing. 6 years later...I run a camera for hours a day.

Okay I'm a boomer and never have been married but marriages like my late mom and dad's and my grandparents on both sides just seem to work like a fine tuned Swiss watch because they had the #1 ingredient other than true love for one another and that #1 ingredient was TEAMWORK because if things in the game of life got done it had to be that way for the marriage to work and everyone including us kids were happy and sure there were ups and downs but that's in all marriages but if it's onesided then NO marriage will last plain and simple !!! And by all means keep the SPICE in marriages and take whatever magic bedroom pill there is to satisfy that wife !!!

While you guys talk about marriage and all this nonsense that is wasting your precious time, I [refuse] to engage in relationships with women. I only focus on what matters; the things that bring me joy. Moreover, I chose to develop myself properly and attain control over my mind. I strive to become a person that has control over his emotions.

This is an important topic, I believe they are trying to spread awareness. Unlike you, some people may be stuck in a situation or about to go in a situation that will lead them down a path that is not easy to get out of. Myself for example, I married my high school sweet heart, after seven years of marriage, she left and things are kinda crazy right now in my life because of it. I appreciate these topics, and they are not a waste of time

All you have to see is that “starter-marriage” has entered the social nomenclature to know avoidance is the starting-line or (0, 0). Just saying.

“Divorce rates are down because marriage rates are down”. Sorry, Rollo, invalid statement. Rates are not absolute numbers, so the divorce “rate” is tied to the total number of marriages, and the marriage “rate” is tied to the population. The decrease in the absolute number divorces can be a function of the marriage rate, but the divorce RATE is not dependent on the total number of marriages OR the marriage rate.

I really blame part of it on movies and television. In almost every story told in entertainment the female lead falls in love with the best friend, or the good person hero/protagonist or the great guy who possesses qualities, like loyalty, honesty, kindness and honor. But that’s what happens the least.. In RL, Princess Jasmine would never be with Aladdin, and instead would be a shallow, vapid, greedy version of herself, who takes pictures of herself all day long. We get this installed in our heads at a young age, and then we are disappointed when real life hits us later on.

Not for men... when my husband lost his job he would have had to take the first job he could find if we had not been married. Instead he took his time to enter a field that he liked, started his own business and enjoyed the change. Then when he developed alzheimers he was able to stay home for years and play with the dog, clean up the property etc.. at the end of his life he had 24 hour home care instead of being put in a test home. His reward was high for most of his life all thanks to me. But that's not why you should get married. The idea is to both work together equally committed to the family.

Even if a man can assess and decide the courts are still acceptable as it is, you have no guarantee that in 10 years from now things will not be worse for men. Its like investing all your assets into a declining stock with the hope it will stay where it is only for the sake of owning stocks. Its a fool's errand

Make prenups mandatory (just written consent between people about what happens in event of a breakup) thats legally binding and must be adhered to. No exceptions.
