Lots of women copied Marilyn, this isn't why she didn't like Jayne. Jayne was the Kim Kardashian of 50's who capitalized on making fun of Marilyn's ambition to became a real actress and break away from fox studios. She starred in a play and movie "will success spoil rock hunter" in which her character is obviously Marilyn, a dumb blonde thinking she could be a great actress and produce her own movies. PS. I like Jayne, I think her fate was really tragic. She was very intelligent and all she wanted was to be a giant movie star like Marilyn. Another victim of the hollywood studio system of the 50's,

Don't feel sorry for people who choose to be disposable in exchange for cash when they become rich and discarded. The story never changes because there will always be people willing to take the low road and ho themselves out for fame and fortune. If karma bites them on the rear for being low life trash, chalk it up to the cost of doing business. Marylin's death was as graceful and dignified as her life allowed it to be. These women were not helpless victims. Marylin achieved such legendary ho status that cheap girls for generations will mimic her in the hopes of repeating her success. Mansfield was just the first to try to copy Marylin... Just look to today's iconic vapid sex pot forcing her fat butt into and ripping an iconic Marylin dress out of that desperate longing to beat the standard. She's just one in a chain. They all want to be Marylin. Don't cry for someone who transcended being just a person, even a famous historical person. She became an idea, the personification of feminine sex appeal. She will live on forever and always make gorgeous women feel insecure. How can you pity that level of success? I may not agree with being a ho, but her life was a masterclass on how to use sex to win.

Both of them were beautiful and intelligent. They both also were natural brunettes, and the studio people had them change their looks. So Jayne didn't copy her, the studios was trying to replicate the same look they helped come up with for Marilyn. Besides, even Marilyn had said herself, that she got some of her look and mannerisms from her friend Dorothy Dandridge.

Marilyn's friends would say she knew when to turn Marilyn on & off and I thought that was incredible. She did say she would stand in front of the mirror and study certain looks and body movements. It all shows in her performances in movies. That's why she was so incredible. Anyone who says Marilyn Monroe was stupid is the real Idiot. I completely agree….and with Mariska working so hard to get to where she is today, it just seems so wrong and distasteful for people to talk negatively about Jayne or Marilyn…. **I was watching a young Mariska Hargitay about 6 months ago when she had a small role on the TV Show “ER.” It’s so crazy because she played a character that is literally the “opposite” of “Olivia/Liv” on Law and Order: SVU… It’s also fascinating to see a young George Clooney on “ER” and an even younger Clooney on “Roseanne” from the late 80’s!! 😊 They’ve BOTH come a long way baby! Again, as far as Jayne and Marilyn are concerned… let us all let them be remembered for the Gorgeous, Curvy, Blonde Icons who both may have played the typical “dumb blonde roles” but who were Both about as dumb as a “fox.” If you know what I mean! Good for them Btw!! 🦊🦊Foxes may appear or seem timid but they almost always outsmart their predators and their prey! 👍😉❤️🌟 And hey! There’s a famous saying, “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.” So Marilyn supposedly copied some of Marlene Dietrich’s looks/mannerisms and Jayne supposedly copied some of Marilyn’s! And look at ALL the famous women who copied Marilyn’s and/or Jayne’s looks/imagery/mannerisms since both of their tragic, untimely deaths… Anna Nicole Smith comes to my mind immediately! Madonna, during her earlier years-think of the video “Material Girl” and Madonna’s penciled on “facial beauty mark!” -Same as Marilyn’s❤ And the list goes on and on… I prefer to Celebrate these 2 rather than pin them against each other… even if there could be some truth to the stories… Let’s let these Beautiful Icon’s Rest In Peace and continue to remember them by celebrating their Wonderful Accomplishments, Grace, Beauty and Senses of Humor that they both had telling jokes and that they both had towards themselves! To be able to really laugh at oneself is such a gift! I love that they both had that gift….❤🌟🙏👸🏼👱🏻‍♀️

*Jayne. And it’s a myth that she was decapitated. Here’s what really happened: “After the Buick Electra crashed into the truck, it slid under the back of the trailer, shearing off the top of the car. Police rushed to the scene to find Mansfield’s three children alive in the backseat. The accident instantly killed the three adults in the front seat and also killed Mansfield’s dog. Police declared the actress dead on the scene. As news of the grisly accident went public, rumors swirled that the crash decapitated Jaynes Mansfield. The Jayne Mansfield death photos released after the accident added fuel to the rumors. Her wig had been thrown from the car, which in some pictures made it look as though her head had been cut off. According to police, Mansfield suffered a gruesome - though near-instantaneous - death. The police report taken after the accident states that “the upper portion of this white female’s head was severed.” Mansfield’s death certificate confirms that she suffered a crushed skull and a partial separation of her cranium, an injury more akin to a scalping than total decapitation. But the beheading story remains oft-repeated, even finding its way into the 1996 movie Crash. Another rumor followed on the heels of Mansfield’s alleged beheading. Gossip hounds said that the starlet, who had been in a relationship with Church of Satan founder Anton LaVey, was killed by a curse LaVey put on her boyfriend Brody.”

Norma Jean was pissed because she always felt she didn’t have anything to herself, nothing is actually hers, not even herself, she always felt unloved, and I think JFK might have made her feel that love she always looked for. I believe she died feeling unloved. It’s all she talked about in her book. It’s so incredibly sad to read about how she basically never felt like a real person, marylin was a character, and Norma was a orphan with nothing. Even with her fame, she felt she had nothing. That’s how powerful love is, it is more than money, fame, legend. But the difference is we need love, not the others. She was very smart, knew love is the most powerful thing on this earth, and it’s all she ever wanted to feel… 💔

Marilyn didn't need Jane to degrade her image... she did that all by herself, with her baby talk, phony helplessness and her marital affairs. I always thought Jane was, but she wasn't promoted as much as much as Marilyn. If Colonel Tom Parker managed Jane, I think she would have surpassed Marilyn. PS. Jayne Mansfield had a very high IQ.

Yea... Marilyn used "baby talk", better than Jaynes pout, and squeaks, and mincing steps. And, that unnatural booster bra...eek. I've seen pictures of her without and she actually looks like a normal woman, not a cartoon. People tired quickly of her nonsense.

I don't think Marilyn paid much attention to Jayne. She was on strike from Fox, so Fox hired Jayne as a threat. I don't think Fox had any real interest in Jayne's longevity but they had put her in the spotlight for a while as a high stakes bluff. Then when Marilyn successfully negotiated a new contract with Fox, they dropped Jayne like a hot potato. They started loaning her out to cheap European productions, pocketing the thousands of dollars each time while only paying Jayne her measly contract salary. I don't think Marylin gave Jayne much thought or concern, she was too busy living her own life and even started her own production company. She didn't let the studios bully her around. Jayne on the other hand got on her knees and practically had to beg to be put in front of the camera as her career went on.
